Pleasantly, pleasantly surprised with the quality of Dogwood Pizza. It's a name I've heard a lot living in Gwinnett and now that we're somewhat nearby, we decided to stop by on a whim. We were greeted enthusiastically and the staff were super accommodating. Prices are fair as well and the ambience is nicer than your average local pizza joint. We ordered a medium Margherita Pizza for lunch and the quality and taste of the pizza was spectacular if you're looking for an American-style pizza. This place is easily in the top 5 (maybe 3?) places in Lawrenceville if you're looking for a pie made with love. Dogwood Pizza looks to be extremely ingrained in the community of nearby schools and Lawrenceville as a whole. We'd support it just for this reason but having wonderful pizza and staff are a huge plus. We highly recommend this place if this type of pizza is up your alley or you're just looking for something new. read more

I'm not sure what it is but this pizza is hands down THEE best pizza I've had since being in the south. Growing up on the east coast pizza was a staple for me! I would get a slice everyday after school. To have dogwood go above and beyond with the flavors, the crust, all of it is just goodness! Their waitresses are usually always nice no complaints. I come here often. Sometimes we eat inside the restaurant, sometimes we pick and go or have it delivered and the customer service is great either way. I typically get a small thin crust cheese or pepperoni. I can no longer handle regular crust pizza so thin crust it is. My daughter loves the pizza here and we get it at least once a month. I was really craving pizza so I decided to try a new spot and chose Dogwood pizza! I looked at the reviews on Yelp and they were good. I was about to order online but I decided to go inside and order. The cashier was very polite. She took my order and made recommendations as well. I got the 5 meat medium pizza and the peach cobbler. It took 20 minutes for my order. Everything smelled amazing! The pizza was great! Great flavor. The toppings were plentiful. The peach cobbler though...it wasn't my favorite. I prefer homemade peach cobbler, it just tastes better. This peach cobbler came in a container that they warmed up. Overall good experience. Will be back if I'm ever in the area again. read more

Let it be know that this Chicago native had discovered a new favorite pizza. Yes, I'm turn away from Lou Malnati's, from Giordano's, and from UNO's. I decided to try the Greek pizza minus feta cheese but added anchovies. The artichoke and fresh tomato slice were enhanced nicely by the anchovy. I've never been a fan of feta which is why I deleted it. This is a winner and my new standard! read more

The food was really great! We ordered from Yelp as a pickup order. I read some reviews that said it wasn't any better than dominos or Pizza Hut and got a little nervous but that is so far off!! I'm not a huge pizza fan, nor are my kids. But all of us loved it! The wings were good too. Ready on time. The pizza had great flavor, the cheezy bread is great like always as expected from cheezy bread. The wings were a bit small and not much meat on them sadly!! My daughter and I had lunch today at Dogwood Pizza.. The good: pizza was amazing, the sweet tea was A+, the price was good & the people were friendly! The not good: I got there at 1:00p to order to save some time since my daughter was on her lunch break .. I was quoted 15-20 mins. By 1:33, it had not come out yet, I had been fighting the urge to ask or say something, I hate to be "that" person, but I got up to say we were gonna need it to go, when a young man came out at the same time and said my order didn't go thru because the payment wasn't processed. I said "does this mean the food hasn't been started?" He said "it's cooking". My daughter went back up with my credit card & before she could hand it to him, he said oh, we just didn't complete it on our end, he pushed a button and it went thru, I guess. Around 1:40 the food came out. As I mentioned , it was darn good pizza & I want to go back. But maybe next time I'll say something sooner read more

We tried Dogwood pizza because of the Yelp reviews and it's pretty close to us. The restaurant was neat and clean and the order taker was polite and personable, that said, it's all about the pizza. OK, It wasn't bad but not great. The pizza we ordered (ground beef, onions & bell peppers) Could have been baked a little longer. The crust was a tad soggy and the top could have been crispier. No browning on the cheese, I think the proper pizza term is "too canary". The ground beef was in the shape of tiny little balls that seemed factory prefabricated. In addition there was not as much flavor as we like, kind'a bland. Not bad mind you, just not great. There was a sign in the window "Hiring cooks", perhaps inexperience could be the issue. So, bottom line, Our favorite pizza place is still Italian Pie on Senic hwy. read more

It took them 30 minutes plus for our pizza and wings when they promised us only 15 minutes. They even gave us discount for next visit due to the slow service last time but still no improvement. I hadn't had a Barnyard salad or wings this good ever since the Bucks Pizza by my house closed some years back! Not sure if these are the same owners but if not the style is matches. First time eating here was 11/18/22. We called our order in for pickup, we ordered a medium pepperoni pizza, and breadsticks, I must say both the pizza and breadsticks was very good. Also nice customer service ordering and picking our order up. We will definitely be eating here again. Tonight after Scouts my son wanted some pizza for a late dinner. After looking for something within 10 miles, we discovered Dogwood Pizza on Yelp. I frequency visit this area to dine at the local Dan Thai restaurant and never knew this place existed as it is kind of hidden in a shopping centre by Bank Of America. As I walked in and went to the register I was taken care of by Trent, who I soon discovered was one of the owners. I ordered two of their personal pan pizzas and afterwards ordered another two regular slices. The restaurant is nice, it reminds me of a warm and relaxing family restaurant that are quite common where I am from. It has just enough seating and the staff maintain the dining area very well. Instead of rushing to clean the tables, I noticed one of the workers take the time to actually scrub the table to remove some stuck on pizza that was on a table. For those who like to watch television as they dine, they have a few television sets on the wall. My son had the pepperoni and I ate the Hawaiian. The pizza here is definitely good, one can really taste the quality. The pineapples were very fresh and the ham was great. The crust was baked perfectly, nice and crispy, but not too much. My only suggestion for adults, get the personal pan for your children, not yourself. Adults are better off getting a few slices as the personal pan is more ideal for kids. After eating my pizza I spoke with Trent who seemed like a really cool guy who takes great pride in his business and it shows. I am definitely glad I found this place, as I usually drive to downtown Atlanta for good pizza, something which I only eat in moderation of course, haha. I absolutely will come back here again. The customer service from start to finish was amazing. Unfortunately, I lived outside of their delivery zone, however the gentleman apologized for the inconvenience. Anytime we want "real" pizza, this is where we go. The toppings, sauce, and dough are excellent. The price may more than you'd pay versus a lower priced competitor, but you can taste the difference. We've been going to Dogwood Pizza for a few years. It's one of the closer locally owned pizzerias in our neighborhood and we like to support local then we can. The pizza is fantastic, there's no doubt about it. Dogwood has a large variety of pizza, wings, salads and other Italian foods. Recently, we called in an order and went to pick it up. We forgot to check the pizzas before leaving, and we got home realized that one of them was wrong. When we called Dogwood, they offered to deliver the replacement for free. They also gave us a $10 gift card as a sorry. It was just great customer service, and a wonderful way to keep us as loyal customers. Funnily enough, the pizza we got by mistake, the steak and cheese?
