They patched the tire quickly, were polite, professional, and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. What really stood out was that I had previously gone to Mavis in Queens Village for the SAME issue and was told I needed TWO new tires. My car is only 8 months old! Cross Island Tires took care of the actual problem with a simple patch and had me back on the road. Fast, honest, efficient, and no nonsense. Exactly what you want from a tire shop. And a special shoutout to Jay -- he was the best! Friendly, helpful, and made the whole thing ridiculously easy. I'll definitely be coming here from now on. Highly recommend!

They are outsourcing the work and not even remotely worrying about the quality of the finished product. Their solution to a bad finish is "we can take em back and redo them". Nah fam - my time is way too valuable to be messing with you guys and this redo stuff. This review is based on few things: + they are going to tell you they can turn them around in 1 day... it's a scam to make you think they are going to be of high quality. + the first time they turned them around I noticed lots of running paint that was dried up. + they claim that nobody powdercoats the outer barrel of the wheel yet they advertise wheels that are fully powder coated inside and out. They literally gave me back two tone gradient wheels and didn't bat an eyelash -- the audacity + on the redo I gave them ample time to make sure they provided me with a high quality job only to receive a job worst than the first job. + $150.00 to repair rashed/bent wheel + powdercoat seemed pricey.... For the quality of work, I'd pay $50/wheel -- I'm being generous with that number. These wheels make me want to vomit + take a look at the images I posted so you can get a good idea of the amount of blemishes on these newly refinished (x2) wheels. $653.02 after tax for this job. I'd rather pay a fifth grader this money to give me a splatter job with house paint lol. I'm laughing straight to the bank with this one... can anyone say CHARGEBACKKK?!?! The Black Dimond Tire Shop (the word Diamond is misspelled, I suppose deliberately, to distinguish…read moreit from a Black Diamond Tire shop in Philadelphia, PA), is also known as Empire Tire Shop. It is owned and operated by a young man named Ismael. Although I am nearly four times his age, in our interactions he turned out to be the more mature person. I will begin this story with my observation that Ismael is a very capable and conscientious auto mechanic. Upon inspecting a flat tire he quickly determined the cause: a defective valve stem. He replaced the valve stem and air-filled the tire and now the tire is fully operational. He refused to take any money for this work and for you to understand why I have to tell you the rest of this story. I would tell you this story anyway, because it reveals what a fine person Ismael is. You see, this flat tire was one of two identical tires that Ismael had installed in my car. I discovered that one of these tires was flat shortly after he installed it. I called him and reported the problem and he invited me to air-fill the flat tire and then drive my car to his shop. But whenever I tried to fill this tire the air inside would quickly dissipate, so I concluded that driving my car to his shop was not feasible. Adding to my frustration was an assumption I was making which turned out to be incorrect, namely that Ismael was responsible for my having a flat tire, either because the tire was defective to begin with or else because he had installed it improperly. At my first opportunity I called Ismael a few days later, after he had already closed his shop, and angrily insisted that he arrange to pick up my car from the place I had parked it and tow it to his shop. Ismael calmly listened to my tirade and then offered to meet me immediately at my car and inspect the tire. He did not get angry with me and expressed only his disappointment that I was talking to him so impatiently and, indeed, disrespectfully. As soon as he arrived he saw that the problem was the tire's valve stem. He put the flat tire into his car and then drove me to his shop and fixed the problem, then drove us back to where my car was parked and reinstalled the tire. He did not want to be paid for all his time and effort, regarding the incident as due to an unfortunate misunderstanding. This was a very benevolent way to look at the situation, given my intemperance and unjustified faultfinding. I will be returning to Ismael's shop at my earliest opportunity so that he can install, as a precaution, new valve stems on the rest of my tires. Of course I will compensate him for this additional work ... It's the least I can do to repay him for his kindness.

Never had one of their tire patches fail and have been able to use every tire to its full lifespan. Never tried to upsell me or add anything on, fairly priced. This is an old school garage, one of those small, independent, family-owned businesses that you're lucky to find. Great and efficient service…read more I came by during non-busy hours (around 3:00pm) and parked in front of the driveway. The tire shop is an open area with no doors but the service counter section is closed off by plexiglass so you have to knock on it. The staff member saw me right away so he opened the side door before I got to the plexiglass. I told him I had a nail in the right passenger tire. He pulled off the tire and noticed it right away. I requested that the patch should be patched from the inside rather than outside (these were special instructions from the Sears guy). So the staff let me know it would be 13 bucks to patch. I was like "cool". They have a very small waiting room off to your right; it's very secluded and closed off by door. I guess so the room can retain the heat since it was cold. He fixed the tire literally in ten minutes. And also, it wasn't that busy so maybe that's why he was able to finish so fast. I also tipped as well; the staff was very easy to work with and very nice too. I plan not to have any more tire problems but if I do, I would definitely come back here.
