I had to come back later to get a receipt because I realized one was not given to me unfortunately, within the 90 days of installing there was a small leak I noticed that had started on the plastic connection for my smart water unit that he put in for me. I reached out in text and phone call and after about a month of trying and him telling me he was gonna show up a few times and I waited and he never showed I gave up on expecting any warranty coverage for this. I ended up tidying the connection and cleaning up what was exposed of the pipe and hopes that I can see if it's leaks again I am concerned about the corrosion that might be under the plastic connection, but I'm thinking it shouldn't be too bad based off of what I could see unfortunately I was hoping to use him as my Plumber now but with this lack of follow up and having to chase him down at times I felt I'm gonna have to find someone else. read more

My hot water heater failed last night. Referred to J&B this morning by friends in the park where I recently moved. Called at 9 am and Kiko and Jose were out here by noon! Kiko the company owner was responsive and came to replace our damaged gas line within hours of our call and his work looks good, but he will charge you a fortune and look for opportunities to charge you even more. Kiko estimated the job at $4600-$5500 for digging up and replacing about 50" of steel gas line that went through two planters. To save money we demolished the planters ourselves and dug up the old line making sure that the threaded end were viable. When Kiko arrived, he said that the trench needed to be deeper so I said ok we will dig it dig it deeper and then you can install the new line because I did not want to pay plumbers rates to dig a trench which I could do for free. Kiko said he had people that could do it quick and cheap and said he would take care of it. When I checked back he was digging himself and had a woman helper moving the dirt that he dug which blew my mind. He finished up a couple of hours later after the city inspector approved the new pipe. I looked at the new pipe which was not connected at either end and asked Kiko why it was not finished. He explained that SDG&E would connect it but SDG&E would not pass it and he needed to replace more pipe, valve and fittings in the house but would only add another $800 to the price. I said no, please finish the connections SDG&E will not connect pipe on the homeowners side of the meter. Kiko finished the connections and then asked for $4600. I questioned how he could charge so much for so little time and work since he had only spent less than 10 hours working on this and his materials were less than $400 making his hourly rate over $400/hr! Kiko responded that he does not work by the hour only by the job and he would knock $300 off making it $4300.00 for one days work! I insisted that he give me an itemized receipt for the work so I could see exactly what he spent in material and permit fees, and hourly work but he would only gave a receipt with a description of the work which was replace 50' of gas line, pull permit, and inspection. Be very careful working with J and B plumbing Kiko will charge you more than your lawyer. read more

New Faucet Install. Kiko came out to our home to install new kitchen faucet, which included base. He took it with him and didn't instal, so our faucet wobbles. He did not place a bucket under the kitchen sink, while working on replacement. We had water under and beside sink floor. He does not clean up after himself as well as he could not provide service order receipt as he said he ran out. He also said to make check out to him Kiko and not to the company for $240.00. My husband has requested receipt numerous time and has stated he will send it off. I just sent him another request for receipt.
