I'm a 68 year old man with bad knees and bad back. I called TK plumbing for a leak in my attic. Very easy access with attic ladder and stand up headroom. I showed him the leak and he quoted a $800 price. He replaced a 4 foot section of pipe with two compression fittings. Travis was here maybe 45 minutes with 20 minutes of work. Shame on me for my stupidity for excepting the bid but I needed the repair done to prevent further damage. It will never happen again and I will spread the word in my industry of craft beer. Next time I'll call ASI...at least they wear white gloves squeezing your balls. read more

I came out to the garage to go to work yesterday morning and thought "mmm it's raining". Then it sunk in that it was raining INSIDE the garage. So surreal. Water dripping and streaming from the garage ceiling and down the walls. We shut off our water main but it didn't help. Called TK Plumbing and Travis said what's your address, I'll be right there. Travis and Neil rolled up and got right to work cutting into the garage ceiling to find the source. Meanwhile we contacted our HOA, tried to contact the neighbor in case it was from next door. Fast forward- it was our neighbor's toilet that was running all night on the floor above the garages. They call it "Soft Stoppage" - what a cute name for something not awesome. Travis got us in touch with a restoration company that would work with our insurance. We still have a ways to go but having Travis and Neil come immediately and take charge was a huge relief. I called Travis after discovering water leaking through my ceiling. He arrived in less than an hour and stopped the leak. Travis was instrumental in organizing a dry out service to remedy the water damage. During the rebuild of the bathroom that was the source of the leak, Travis worked with the contractor to set the tub and shower faucet as to minimize the contractors wait time. We had just moved into our new place and found that our pipes weren't safe enough to turn on the gas. The gas company required fixes, a permit, and a city inspection. Our house presented several issues which together made for a complex situation. Our general contractor was unable to address the leaks in the pipes after the work they had performed. My shower handle valve broke and I was unable to remove it. I called TK Plumbing first thing in the morning and got an appointment for the same day. Travis showed up within the timeframe he had given. He came in and I showed him the issue. He gave me an honest estimate and he had the common shower valve on the truck. He was able to get the valve out with his removal tool and a few tries. He was very quick and efficient. I had pulled the retaining spring and it had disappeared in the wall and I was lucky he had one available. He put it all back together for and siliconed around the plate and shower faucet. Our bathroom shower did not have enough hot water. I called several places and they explained a whole gamut of possibilities, ranging from catridge repair to the whole shower wall destruction for the internal pipe repair. I could feel some of them were trying to rip me off. When I called TK Plumbing and talked with Travis, he also explained it could be a cartridge related issue but will need to check it first. I got the impression of genuineness in that first call itself. That is why I proceeded to invite him to come over and take a look. When he arrived, first thing he checked was if there is any internal hot water child lock installed for safety. We had moved in recently so did not know the history of the place. Also I don't know the internal settings inside the handle to turn this child lock on or off. But I am surprised other plumbers did not even consider this as a potential root cause. Anyways, it did turn out to be the lock. So he only charged his fees for the in-house visit and not for anything else. And definitely not for the costly cartridge repair. He could have easily pointed out things and charged more. But he did not!! He was honest and got the job done perfectly. We hired him again for something else very recently and he did a great job with full honesty and integrity again. I highly recommend Travis for any plumbing job. Or call me back immediately to arrange first availability. Many contractors wait until their day is over to pick up the phone or return a call. I'm sorry, but water leaks and plumbing problems don't always happen during your downtime. 2.) Has your best interests in mind, not his own. After finding my 30-yr home had a leak at the tub faucet, he recommended doing a scan. Lo and behold, there were two others (slab and behind wall) on separate lines! Was able reroute both with no damage other than drywall to find the manifolds. Saved me thousands. 3.) Quality of service. Before Travis, I had used various local plumbers and sometimes through insurance claims, and the problems returned or were never resolved. I even had a guy drill the wrong hole in my tile for a drain, only to never come back and fix it.
