It has taken me several years to write this review. When my brother commited suicide, it was J & E toeing that towed his vehicle to their yard. I had one simple request. Please, may our family have his portfolio inside the vehicle that contained his life's work as a brilliant artist in the auto world. Housed with the expense of his funeral and all that that entails, we/I was unable to pay for the time his vehicle was in the lot, in fact it hadn't occured to me that there was an expense incurring. Even less, could I satisfy their demand for a probate lawyer to remove any articles from his vehicle. I will never forget J & E toeing. Dude.. these guys are really bad. Scheduled a tow for my truck from the backyard of my parents to the mechanic down the street through AAA The driver showed up 1 hour early and left. Unfortunately I wasn't there and my stepfather was. He showed him where the truck was and the guy took off. They then removed me from the schedule and did not notify me. I only found out once I called to confirm they were still coming.. which they were not. The driver was too lazy to go into the back yard. However they right away said they would tow me out if I paid them.. they would.not subcontract the work for AAA. What a bunch of clowns. Receptionist was rude as well. Unreliable Expensive. I had a flat tire on the way to Santa Fe on Sunday. After calling AAA, J&E was dispatched, and we discovered that Toyota failed to properly instruct on getting the spare to lower for changing. The owner's manual for my 2017 Tacoma did not show the tool on the end of the handle attachments that could work the crank. The driver, Louis, and I tried several times to follow the instructions in the book, and finally gave up. Our only option was to be towed to Santa Fe and get the flat repaired. Fortunately, there was a tire shop open on Sunday. Thanks to J&E and the driver, Louis, for saving us on I-25! I have recently discovered the proper tool to lower the spare and how it attaches to the crank handle so I'm including photos to help anyone who might also bump into this problem. Called my AAA Service as I had a dead battery and my car wouldn't open with remote. They partnered up with this company and when he arrived (Earl) he was very friendly and opened the door fairly quick the he told me to pop the hood and he hooked up his battery booster so that I could open the truck. Now knowing that the car is inoperable without the battery I then was going too start the car but Earl removed his booster and put it back in his car as soon as I opened up the truck. I explained that the whole reason I couldn't open the doors was because of the dead battery. So I asked if he was going too jump the car and he said Nope. To my surprise I actually thought he was joking as we were laughing and my associate was also surprised. Earl then started preaching to me that I would need to call in to AAA again for another service call. Again I thought he was kidding but he was not he would not do anything unless I make another call. He continued to tell me that he has to have another service call because of people who have multiple cars abuse the system. Not sure what business that is of his as I as well as everyone else pays for a yearly service premium. AAA Should not use this tow company they are horrible bad service read more

This company is one to avoid for AAA service. While the technicians called out to assist are polite and willing to help, the company fails to honor AAA warranties and will force you to buy their products at full price even with a warranty. They should not be aligned with AAA. read more

This morning about 9:10 a.m., I turned onto Northern from Rockaway and one of your trucks was stopped at the red light on Northern facing west. My car got up to the speed limit and your truck was coming up behind me fast. Without slowing, your driver went into the right lane, drove up to the back of the car in that lane and then came back into my lane (I slowed) and then, going too fast for a u-turn, he made a u-turn - all with a car on the flatbed!!!!!! I was waiting for the car to fly off while keeping my distance. I was lucky enough to catch the company name although I was not able to get a iicense plate number or anything else. This is very dangerous driving and I would greatly appreciate someone speaking with this driver and his speed problem. Thank you in advance for helping to keep our city safe. read more

Tests came back as a bad battery- Earl replaced the battery and had me on my way in no time. I had the best service in having my antique car towed to my mechanic. Two guys showed up at the appointed time with a phone call in advance to let me know they were on their way. They carefully put my car on the flat bed and secured it. I followed the truck to the mechanic's garage and was pleased with the way the car road on the truck. When we got to the garage, the driver unloaded the car and helped push it into the garage. These guys are very professional and friendly. Had the misfortune of needing their services twice in three days through AAA. Both times arrived before their estimated times and provided courteous and professional service. I told the driver that once he got my car started, I was on my way to Firestone to purchase a new battery. He said "Let my check it for you and make sure it is your battery and not something else." Starter, alternator may also play into your problem. His equipment confirmed it was my battery and not anything more costly. He had a battery on his truck, installed it in my driveway the cost was competitive and reasonable plus saving me the agony of going to a repair shop. Thank You for Excellent customer service. The driver was dangerous and very unprofessional. As I was driving down Northern he was speeding (well over the speed limit) honking his horn repeatedly at another driver and using vulgar hand gestures. Horrific customer service for J & E. J & E broke my fuel line on my F250 and did not want to investigate it to see what happened. J & E pictures don't lie. The main manage was cursing and puffing his chest at me instead of coming up with a solution. If you do use this service i would wait till the tow company gets there a watch them on how they handle you car. Honestly and customer service is none existent in the eyes of J & E. This service was horrible. The driver came out with an attitude. Aaa put in the notes to connect the negative cable to my battery and the driver was refusing to do it because he didn't see it on his tablet. He wasn't able to see aaa notes. Not only did my husband tell him but so did I that he needed to call his dispatcher. He said he called his boss but his boss is not around the system. He then kept saying nobody is listening to me. No sir we were listening. You and whomever you were talking to have no regard. He could have called aaa to verify. But he was more concerned about his tablet. So I proceeded to hook up my battery infront of him using face time with my husband while this man was on the phone complaining to his boss how no one was listening to him. J & E was sent from AAA and they were horrible. The driver was solely interested in the money from the tow, he loaded and unloaded my truck multiple times, he locked the keys in my truck while it was on the tow truck then had to jimmy the door. Once the truck was loaded he didn't want directions to my auto shop stating he would use his GPS, then went the wrong way and we had to chase him to down. I called AAA roadside assistance for a flat tire that I had on dirt road. They sent out J & E Towing. When the driver came, he was on his cell phone, and he remained on his cell phone for almost the entire time he was working on replacing my flat tire with the spare. He had asked to borrow my lugnut wrench and the handle to jack up the jack. When I got to the tire store, I realized that my tools were not in my van. I called J&E Towing to ask them, but left a voicemail. I called a few minutes later, they said they listened to my message and that the driver didn't have my tools. They let me talk with the driver, who told me that he had put the tools by the sliding door (which was not where he removed my tools). After the new tire was replaced, I drove out to where the spare was put on. No tools. I called J&E, and got the owner, as it was after hours. When I explained to him the situation, this is what he said, "The tools aren't in your van, they're not with the driver, they're not on the road; well, they must be someplace!". This was the only conversation I had with the owner. This all happened on May 12th. I waited two days, called again, and again did not receive very good help. I decided to file a report with AAA, after giving J&E the opportunity to provide good customer service. They failed. I called periodically to see what was going on with the situation, and if J&E would replace the tools. Today is May 26th, two weeks after the spare was replaced, I called J&E Towing, and when I asked about the situation, I was told to file a report with AAA, and let them deal with it. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I hate stating the obvious, but J&E Towing is not interested in following through, and serving their customers well. read more
