Such a welcoming place! Very kind. Food it's delicious. Went on a very windy day and the food was perfect

Got everything they had and it was my first time it was all really good fresh food. The meat just slides off the bone and was very tender.

Amazing food and great service at this take-out food spot. I highly recommend the turkey tail, quarter chicken and the corn bread.

Lamb was nice and tender, fai with fa'alifu was good too, chop suey chicken had enough flavor but…read morethe noodles was bit to soggy for my liking but my kids loved it, fried pompano my daughter inhaled that and didn't leave any for us to try to I guess that's a winner since she's only 10. The panikeke's were fresh off the stove when we got em, nice and crispy on the outside and moist and fluffy on the inside. We got some sua fai to try as well and man you can take the lau Ki polo that was in it. Service was great! No sitting area it's a grab and go spot. On Sundays parking is limited since there is a church next door so beat the rush after service and get you some food Samoan food. I've tried J&Js in Auburn but Soa's so much better especially when you make it in and they've got fresh panikeke's . Sorry no pictures to share cuz no one had time for all of that when food is nice and hot. oh and the Oka was good too. Add some splash of hot sauce and lil bit soy sauce taste like the kine from Fagaalu lol

She charged me the "Palagi/Meauli Tax" on my purchase!…read more Two 2 years ago, I gave Soa's Kitchen a deserved 5 star rating. The food is still great and authentic, but I am extremely disappointed with their current business practices! Soa's Kitchen used to have posted pricing for containers and plates two years ago, but now there is no signage of pricing anywhere in the restaurant. I trusted the employee, and didn't pay any attention to the scale when she was ringing up my order. At the time, the total did seem a bit high, but I let it go for the sake of supporting a Samoan business. When I got home, I told my Savaiian wife that I'm pretty sure that I was charged the "Palagi Tax" today on my order, over $90 for 2 combo plates (Each Plate contained: 1pc Taro, 1pc Faʻalifu Faʻi, 1pc Fasi Povi Masima, 2 ribs of Mamoe Tao, 1 scoop of Kale Mamoe) and 2 Paluasami. When I showed her the receipt, she was like "WTF"! After going to Soa's Kitchen website, and reading several reviews, I see that I am not the only one who feels cheated, and confirmed the "Palagi Tax" practices! I want to support "Black & Brown Businesses", but I need Soa's Kitchen to provide fair business practices. Soa's Kitchen needs to post their pricing and they need to charge everyone fairly, not based on personal bias of the customer. If I ever go to Soa's Kitchen again, and I don't see any posted pricing, I will just not be your customer, I will not support your business!

Got great tip on some super low flights to PNW during March so luckily I was able to score a $138…read more one way going back from SEA-HNL, It has been YEARS since I last flew on a HA flight, so here goes my experience. My flight was just for the basic seat which is fine with me, won't be paying any extra for comfort seats or to choose my seat. I am fine with whatever seats selected for me but I do cross my fingers to get aisle seats. On day of flight, I asked the agent if he was able to seat me & hubby together, which the male staff that helped said that he could but it won't be aisle seats, I didn't take the seat option to sit together because I can't do middle seats, hehe. But strange when I got to my seat, the seat next to me was empty. I don't know why, he could have assigned that seat, but all good, he moved to the empty seat when we were up in the air. There were some flight delays, couldn't start the boarding process due to odor on the plane, then vent was making loud noise so they had to get that taken care of, then unable to take off yet. We finally did, but original arrival time 9:12 pm to 10:55 pm, got home close to midnight, so late and tired but better to be safe. The only airlines that still serve meals but not a complete meal?! ya times are tough, I recall we had a complete meal years ago. Just a turkey pesto sandwich, which is it not the greatest. Only one round of drink service during our flight and one complimentary cookie from Honolulu Cookie Company, what happen to the Koloa drink? The greatest part of the flight is the Star link Wifi, way better than Southwest, me and the hubby can agree on this. I was able to load my photos on Yelp. Not my airline by choice but For my future trips, I hope to score some great deals again to be able to fly HA. Although not on time but Thank you for getting us back home safely and smoothly!
