    Veggie Omelet w/ breakfast potatoes
    Nancy C.

Have passed this place 1 million times and have never stopped. Met a friend here for a birthday "brunch "and was pleasantly surprised. Initially couldn't find my friend because she was in the lounge and I was in the restaurant. They have 2 entrances on two different streets. So if you're going to meet someone there let them know if you're going to meet in the restaurant or the lounge. They serve all day breakfast. My friend got a veggie omelette and breakfast potatoes and really enjoyed both of them. I got the turkey sandwich and mashed potatoes with gravy. It was exactly what it was supposed to be and was good. I think I was supposed to get another side, but we ate in the lounge and the bartender was very nice but was not really a waiter. Prices were right in range with any other sit down casual restaurant. It was just under $40 with tax and tip. Definitely want to come back and try some other things. Would like to try eggs Benedict, cornedbeef hash, BLT and prime rib dinner. They have trivia in the lounge on Saturday nights from 7 to 9 PM so I'm definitely gonna do that in the near future !

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Quiet atmosphere with very nice wait staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The seats are older booths.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is back room for group gatherings.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The coffee was hot and black. It was not super strong or burnt. The bread on the meatloaf was thin cut. The meatloaf and brown gravy that comes with it had a good flavor. We sat and talked for about 5 hours. They brought us our own pot of coffee. It was a very enjoyable evening.

Cheryl was very friendly and a great waitress. The Ruben was good. Onion rings were crunchy and awesome. The fries were soft and bland. The price was average. Blue Moon draft was delicious.

Love this diner in Auburn. Don't come here often but when I do, it's packed with people coming for their breakfast menu (even after 12pm!)- the pancakes are huge! I enjoy their BLT and French dip. Love the hand cut fries. Boyfriend always orders their hot turkey sandwich, extra gravy.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Atmosphere is inviting and relaxing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Both Allie & Nicole have served us and were fantastic! My husband & I eat here frequently- highly recommend

    Corned beef hash. Sort of.

This is what people who only half remember what corned beef hash is make. When I arrived the wait staff was 3 feet outside the front door smoking and after I stood at the greeting station one of them opened the door to tell me to sit wherever. A third staff member came from the back after a bit and took my order, she was nice. Cool. I don't recommend. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Food is disappointing and 2/3rds of the staff would rather make the dining area smell like cigarettes than acknowledge people coming in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Burnt bacon burnt bread burnt fries. All cold

Absolutely loved their food and ambiance…read more For food, we got the adobo pork belly (comes with macaroni salad, rice, and vegetables on the side) and the pandan fried chicken (comes with rice and veggies on the side). Pandan was super crispy and rice was soft, not mushy. Adobo was rich in garlic and in smoky and sweet flavor. Love they kept the fat on some adobo pieces. Each dish was just enough for us to finish for breakfast. For drinks, we ordered the calamansi juice and calamansi iced tea. Both taste great. Side notes: You order up front, bring your table number, and sit wherever you like. They will bring you your food. Once youre done, please put your food away in the back, which is located on the left hand side of the deli if youre facing the deli at the entryway. It was busy on a Sunday around noon. A few were available but was filled quickly after about half an hour of us arriving. People tend to spend time here. About an hour if youre just there to have a quick meal, but families were gathering and spending time with no rush which i loved. No waitress or waiter to check on you, just only to bring you your food which took a reasonable 2 minutes for drinks and about 10 - 15 for food. Overall, we definitely recommend!

I also tried the garlic fried rice with longanisa and eggs, which was really good too. The longanisa had that nice sweet-savory balance, and the garlic rice was fragrant and comforting, though I'd still pick the sisig if I had to choose between the two. The ube pancakes were delicious soft, slightly sweet, and definitely a fun treat. Fair warning though, they will leave your teeth a little purple for a bit but honestly worth it. I also got the ube coffee and... YUM. Such a good combo with the pancakes. Overall, everything was solid and full of flavor. I'd definitely come back, especially for that pork sisig. Tita is definitely cooking in the back you can taste it.

We understand that the restaurant was busy, so we patiently waited for a table. However, after being seated and placing our order, we waited another 20-30 minutes for our food to arrive. While the food was good, the service was extremely slow. The most frustrating part happened when we ordered an extra pancake for our child. Our server told us to pay for it when we were leaving, which sounded fine. After waiting another 20-30 minutes, we went to the cashier only to be told that we should have ordered it at the front counter. If that had been explained to us earlier, we could have done so right away and avoided wasting more time. The food was enjoyable, but the poor communication and slow service left us disappointed. Sadly, this is the second time we've had the same experience.

My family and I were in the area and decided to give Mary's Fine Food a try after hearing good…read morethings about it. Pulling into the parking lot, I have to admit I wondered if my GPS had developed a sense of humor. The restaurant sits in an older strip mall that doesn't exactly scream "destination dining," but the inside has a cozy, old-school Texas diner feel that was actually pretty charming. Unfortunately, convincing my two kids that this was a better choice than IHOP turned into a losing battle almost immediately. We waited over 40 minutes for our food, which, in kid time, is roughly equivalent to serving a prison sentence. Every five minutes I was reminded that pancakes at IHOP would have already been eaten, digested, and forgotten by then. To be fair, the food was good. I ordered the Philly Scramble, and my wife ordered the California Eggs Benedict. The quality was solid, but the pricing left me scratching my head. The California Eggs Benedict, which came with tomato, avocado, and bacon, was nearly $30. For comparison, I've paid less for Eggs Benedict at places in downtown Seattle. Seeing a $28.99 Eggs Benedict in a strip mall in Kent felt like finding luxury hotel prices at a gas station convenience store. The pricing surprises didn't stop there. There are extra charges for things like splitting orders, automatic gratuity, and add-ons. We had asked for strawberries with the French toast, which may have contributed to the final bill, but it wasn't entirely clear when I reviewed the receipt. Unfortunately, the handwriting on the check was difficult to read, making it hard to understand exactly how everything was itemized. Since I wasn't completely sure what had already been included, I ended up leaving an additional tip just to avoid accidentally shorting someone. By the end, breakfast for our family came out to around $115. Now, credit where it's due: the service itself was friendly, and once the food arrived, everyone enjoyed it. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and I can see why people like this place. The restaurant has a unique charm and definitely feels different from the typical chain breakfast spot. Overall, Mary's Fine Food serves good food and has a pleasant atmosphere, but the long wait times and pricing felt hard to justify for a family breakfast. Three stars. Not a bad meal, but next time my kids vote for IHOP, they may actually win the family election.

I ordered the $21 meat lovers omelette, and I was honestly surprised by what was served. For that price point, I expected a substantial, well executed dish. Instead, the omelette was relatively small, the sausage and ham inside were cold, and the eggs were cooked to the point that they resembled an overdone scramble more than a folded omelette. At that price, that felt difficult to justify. Additionally, there was no pricing listed on the menu for a side of bacon. Being charged $7 for 4 pieces of thin bacon without any prior indication of cost felt uncomfortable and unexpected. Transparency in pricing matters, especially at those rates. My wife ordered a scramble, and unfortunately, it was presented as an open faced mound of eggs placed on top of meat, cheese, and what were labeled as home fries. The potatoes were deep fried and did not resemble home fries in texture or preparation. Presentation aside, the overall execution did not reflect the quality we anticipated. I say all of this respectfully, but firmly: based on this experience, there is not a realistic possibility that we would return. When a restaurant displays a food rating publicly, customers naturally assume a certain standard. After our breakfast this morning, I can understand how that rating may have been earned. I hope this feedback is received in the constructive spirit it's intended. We believe restaurants deserve the opportunity to hear honest experiences directly. Wishing you the best moving forward.

Fruit bowl- mangled and discolored alike spoilage or bug damage, orange looked preplated and dried up in a fridge and toss onto a plate. Strawberries crushed flat under the weight of the melon and cantaloupe piled on top of them. Basic plating -- heavy fruit doesn't go on top of delicate fruit. The prep was inconsistent across the board. Potato chunks bigger than the bell peppers and onions in the same dish. Uneven cuts don't cook evenly and it shows. Flavor was worse than the presentation. The gravy was flour and water with no meat base. The steak breakfast special came with an oversized, bread-like biscuit, no butter or fat to it, and the steak had an off taste I couldn't get past. I ate the eggs and potatoes and left the rest. The huckleberry tea tasted spoiled -- someone should check it. There's also a lot of visible food waste here, which usually comes from a menu that's too big to execute well. My honest take: cut the menu down and focus on doing fewer things at a high level. Smaller menu, less waste, better consistency. I wanted to like this place. The quality just isn't there yet.
