I dropped off my daughter for practice at nearby Celebration Park for practice and I was looking for a place to watch a World Cup game. The strio mall is a bit hidden and might not look like a new place. Step inside and there is a casual atmosphere with lots of seating. The staff was extremely friendly and make you feel like a regular. The food options are good and the beverages are cold. We decided to meet a friend here, been here about 5 years ago. As we sat n looked over the menu until our friend arrived we ordered a drink and a appetizer. This establishment is predominantly white, we are not. This did not stop the table in front of us who were all whites to loudly and disgustingly use the words "Fucken Mexicans"! Our friend arrived and we said we're leaving we asked for our check and to please put our appetizer in a box. Our waitress was kind and looked surprised that we were leaving. I like to pay with my credit card and then leave cash on the table (because I'm a bartender and I always appreciate the cash tips) but later that evening after I came in I got a notification from my cash app card that a 2.00 tip was added. Not a big deal but next time I will enter "paid cash" on the tip line so the bartenders don't think I tried to stiff them on their tip. read more

I have NEVER been to a "sports bar" that insists on keeping TMZ on half the TV's after the World Series is .over, and we asked to have TV's switched to our local PRO HOCKEY TEAM. Whomever is teaching these servers how to manage a viewers choices is doing great disservice to their customers. This bar isn't where it should be. If I could give it a 0 I would. The bartender stole from us that night. She poured us 8 shots of hornitos and charged us $160 and we asked her 2 times are you sure it's that much and she said yes hornitos is $18 a shot. I than asked her I'll take 4 shots of the lowest tequila she said we were given 4 shots, I look at my bill it's $60 and there's one extra shot on it of don julio I stop her and say what's going on here I did not order that shot furthermore you also never gave me this shot. I asked her how is it the other 8 shots were more than don julio when don julio is more than hornitos at every bar. She went on to say you drank don julio not hornitos while 8 of us watched her pour hornitos but she charged us for don julios and we could not get the money back because we gave her cash. This is the worst experience I've ever had at a bar from a bartender to steal money right in front of our face. After questioning her she kept saying I'm calling the police and we told her go head your stealing from us and that is not ok. This was the worst bartender I need to follow up with a manager. Cozy bar! I felt right at home when I walked in here. This could be a spot that you meet up with the girls/guys and pre-funk or if you just want to come watch the game and have a few cocktails! Great place to enjoy some beers with good company and play pool. I especially appreciate the place because the staff were all so nice. If I could remember the name of the bartender that was working the night we came I'd give her a shout out as she went out of her way to bring me a modelo when their keg ran out. R Jay's Scoreboard is kind of tucked away in Federal Way- which I kind of like, because not many people were here when we went! If we're ever in the area again and looking to play darts or grab a beer, this'll definitely be the spot we pick. Decor: Definitely outdated. I felt like I was in a flashback to the late nineties or early 2000s, but the place is clean and has regular bar paraphernalia so it wasn't all that bad. Service: Pretty good! However, I needed to get change from the bartender at one point and ended up waiting like five minutes for her to even notice me. Outside of her, there was nobody else for me to ask... Maybe consider upping the employees on the weekends? The layout of this place is way cool. The front is the bar and dining area, and there's a separate room for people who are there to be loud and play (which is where we hung out). At first it was just my boyfriend and I in the entire room, but then a group of loud ass regulars showed up and bumped up the music waaay loud and occupied the rest of the room. That room has a lounge type area, two dart boards, and a couple of pool tables. I think I read that it's available to rent. Definitely a cool place to check out!! read more

We come here a lot, I like the seating and all the tv's. And while the new owner is very nice and the staff is too, the service is oh slightly better than the previous owners. When it's busy, I would expect the staffing to be amped up to meet demands (aka big Hawks games, it's a sports bar!). We met a group here once for a game, showed up really early to ensure a table, but the service was SOO slow. They were clearly under staffed, I've noticed regulars or friends of servers getting attention to the point of just pure socializing while we were still waiting to have a drink order taken and that's at non-busy times. We do like the make your own Bloody Mary bar, you can get your drink in a timely manner (sorry that may be a low blow but I can't help myself). The back room with pool and darts ect is nice. I have to say I am not a fan of the food either! I know it's bar food, and maybe Sport's Sports bar (evergreen rd in Everett, WA!) has ruined me because they have top notch food in a sports bar, and now I'm convinced it's possible! The salads and wraps are mostly croutons (Maybe that's up your alley, but not mine, I love wraps, not croutons in a tortilla) the grilled chicken on the salad was chewy and sinewy. I like the flavor of their chili but it is like a salt lick with beans.The Creme brûlée top was chewy and stuck to my teeth. My friends really like the sandwiches and burgers. They are juicy and cheesy and so you can't really go wrong there; I do like the chicken alfredo. I am a huge WINGS FAN! Love wings! Their wings make me sad, their crispy to the point that the skin kinda turns to dust in your mouth, there isn't much chicken to them, but on top of all that, they don't even toss the sauce on for you, you have to double dip the wing into the wing sauce (one small container which is hard to get a wing into in the first place) followed by another dip into the ranch/blue cheese ext. Totally not a good wing experience. All in all if it's not busy and you're intserested in watching a game, having a drink, and a greasy sandwhich you'll fare alright. read more

After having been to a few local bars, and having my all time favorite bar close down the other week. I decided to give this place a try and see what it was all about. Food was pretty bland and I've had a lot better. The service I felt was pretty mediocre. It seems to take the bartenders forever to come over to ask for your order, or to even acknowledge you. I'm still looking for a "home bar" someplace I can get that feeling where the bartenders would want to converse with you and enjoy you coming to visit. I just don't feel like this is the place for me :( I'll keep looking. read more

Food is okay when you get it. I waited 15 min before anyone even noticed I was waiting. I guess when you are busy you just don't see new customers. They have greatly improved on the food since taking over but service still needs to be worked on. I get the feeling they cater to there regulars more than they do new customers. I do like there live bands on the weekend. New owners have made it more lively for sure. Now they just need to work on getting to there customers sooner. Went here last night with 2 friends, my husband and brother. We had a GREAT time! Service and food were wonderful. Atmosphere very comfortable. Scott our server was all over it! Started out with some nice strong cocktails and split an order of the "razor" clam strips and fries as an appetizer. While they were very tasty I doubt they were actually razor clams and just regular clams. Hubby & brother both got ginormous salads. Hubby a crab filled Louie and bro. a protein filled Cobb. Hubby and I both added cups of the She Crab soup to our meals and I could have eaten a whole pot of it. Delish! I had the Salmon BLT as my entree. Nice size piece of perfectly cooked fish, nice soft ciabatta roll, well cooked bacon. Friends split a chicken, avocado, bacon sandwich with crisp fries and an added dinner salad of nice greens. Stayed for awhile longer playing pool on one of the 4 pool tables in the back. (Only one dart board in a weird spot) Had an interesting cocktail called "liquid sunshine". Pineapple juice, banana liqueur and rum. A little too much banana liqueur but still tasty. Wish this place was in my neighborhood but will make the trip back down south again. :) read more

Not a bad spot to watch a few games. They have quite a few TVs and during Seahawks games the place is packed by 10am. Breakfast was pretty good, and drinks were priced about average for the area. Service is friendly, but a little slow. If you are cool with a having a carefree dare and watching a few sporting events and can't get into downtown, Scoreboard is good back up plan. read more

Well laid out sports bar with comfortable seating throughout. It's a nice size place with a pool area in back and the front has a HUGE TV with a fireplace underneath. We really enjoyed the layout and TVs everywhere which make it super nice for watching game. The service was excellent. We had dinner and it was pretty darn good as well. Onions on the fish taco were not a pleasant find as I prefer cabbage and cilantro to make them tasty but the fries were nice and crispy, perfect. From the outside it doesn't look fantastic, but go in, you will like. read more

this is not the same scoreboard ran by two graduates of fwhs / namesake federal way. this new iteration has different pricing schemes. what's posted online and paper menu doesn't correlate to when you get your bill. helen the cashier got into an argument with me that I was in error. the place now has a bouncer. checks vaxx card (fine) and id but also requires a cover charge on saturdays. First off, I downloaded yelp specifically to make this 1 review because I can't believe what has happened, I was at scoreboard last Friday 2/28/2020, had ordered 2 large beers and a tatchos plate, which came to 30.89, after a 5 dollar tip $35.89, come to find out the bartender had charged an extra $50.00 for a tip, bringing the total to 85.89. scummy if you ask me, now I'm in process of contacting the manager to have him dig up receipts. I might have to go in and cause a scene. I used to LOVE going to the Scoreboard. The staff got to know me and I considered it my neighborhood bar. Unfortunately, something changed. My buddy and I were there about two months ago and went to the back room to play pool (as we often do). The server came in and helped the other people in the room, but she completely ignored us. After the second time that she came in and ignored us, I timed it to see how long it would take us to get service. I waited 27 (additional) minutes before going to the bar and ordering a pitcher of beer. I also had to ask for menus and said specifically, "We are back there playing pool--can we order back there?" It was a gentle prod to the fact that we were back there and that we would appreciate the same service that the others back there were getting. Well...after another 15 minutes without service, I went and ordered food from the bar. My buddy was adamant about not returning but, after two months away, we decided to give it another shot. We went for a Sounders game and, when we arrived, none of the TVs were on the game. The server said, "Oh yeah...I'll get the game on for you..." and didn't come back for 20 minutes. Then he couldn't find the station (and didn't think to google it). For a place with 60+ TVs, it was a hint ridiculous that our local (champions) team was not already on their TVs... Even after they got the Sounders game on the TV, it took over an hour from the time we ordered our food until the time it arrived. Unfortunately, this WAS an awesome place to go. Cheese burgers came out cold, after 15 minutes. Nachos were wrong, had meat on them and cold. No beast burger, no chili burger, and no salad. I asked our server and was told the food was put in at the same time. We cancelled our part of the order. If food came out earlier on time and cold what is mine going to come out like, frozen!? Do not recommend this place. Still no salad, easiest thing to make. Who brings out food at different times from the same order. Manager came out and made excuses. Trying to explain cold food and messed up orders. Didn't want to listen and kept cutting me off when I talked. Maybe a change in management or manager training is in order. It breaks my heart to see what has become of the Scoreboard. I was a regular customer there for over 20 years before Ron retired & sold it. My whole family & most of my friends went there on a weekly basis. I knew all the servers &. bartenders by name. The food, service, drinks & atmosphere were always fantastic! After the new owners took over it wasn't the same, but still pretty good. Yesterday, my sister & I were in Federal Way & we decided to go there for lunch. I hadn't been there in a few months, so I was looking forward to it. We walked in & the place was dead, but it was a Monday afternoon, so it was understandable. We sat down & waited & waited & waited. There were only 9 people in the entire place, including us. The bartender was moving at a slug's pace. After 15 minutes of not getting a menu, or a drink order, or even being greeted, we got up & walked out! I just couldn't believe it! It's just so sad. This place has been around forever, it seems. It's in an awkward location that makes it difficult to spot (near Celebration Park) unless you already know where you're going so it makes sense that most of the bar's customers are locals. We recently came with a group of friends to celebrate a move. They've got plenty of seating, pool tables, a dart board, and a number of TVs mounted on the wall. It's a great place to watch your (insert sport, fight, etc.) here and it's a chill place to hang out when you're with a group of people. The staff is friendly though the drinks are not the best. I'd stick to beers or shots if you want to order drinks. I've heard the food is decent but it's been a while since I've ordered anything here so my food memory has faded. So... We came here pretty sloshed and at closing time. The bartender was nice enough. I mean really how nice can you really be around obnoxious hammered people who want to drink more?
