We rented two Marin Sausalito E1 e-bikes and they were perfect for cruising around the city. The bikes had smooth pedal assist that made our 36-mile ride feel effortless, especially with Tulsa's mix of river trails and city streets. We even brought our own seats for extra comfort and the staff had no problem mounting them for us. They also provided locks, front and rear lights for night riding, and chargers so we could juice up the batteries overnight. When we arrived to pick up the bikes, we actually bumped into Tom (yes, the Tom!) heading out at the same time. He ended up riding with us along part of the RiverParks Trail and gave us some amazing local tips--including a few great restaurant recommendations and cool stops to check out along the way. This shop gets five stars from us. The bikes were top-notch, the service was outstanding, and the entire rental experience was smooth from start to finish. Visited there for a tire rotation and battery purchase and fifteen minutes into the work I was told they stripped a lug nut and were waiting for a replacement to arrive. No problem. They made a mistake and owned it. A few minutes later I hear the unmistakable sound of a ball peen hammer striking steel, and this sound repeats twenty times or more. Upon a look at the garage I realize it's my vehicle's brake drum he's beating on. When I walked and stood at the bay entrance, he suspended the hammering and retrieved the proper tool for drum removal and wah-lah, the drum practically jumped off the hub. Then the tire tech attempted to thread the wrong replacement lug nut on the new bolt and was about to use the impact wrench to force it, that is until I intervened and told him the thread pattern had to be incorrect. He went away and upon return exclaimed "The bin was labeled wrong!" Again, wah-lah, the correct nut fit just like magic! At this point I'd had enough and passed on the battery purchase. Before the tire tech attempted to back my truck from the bay, I heard the service manager caution him to remove the floor jack from behind the truck before backing. I'm not sure he had forgotten the jack, but I offered instead to back my own truck out. I then had to remove the leveling blocks from beneath where they were dropped from the frame rails. I have myself to blame because I visited there three years ago with this same truck and discovered after leaving the shop they took my locking lug nuts and put non-locking nuts in place of them. I'm sure it was intentional because the lug nut key was also missing, so deduced their service tech needed them more than the rightful owner. At the next service Brad told me they'd replace the lug nuts, but looking into Brad's eyes, I could tell he was making an empty promise he couldn't, or wouldn't, fulfill. He took my cell number and stated he'd call when they arrived, but I never heard from him, or them! So much the better because they'll never hear from me, nor my referral business, ever again!

We visited the other day because I left my phone mount in Belize and needed to purchase another. We walked in and were welcomed. I was blown away by all of the cycles, etc. to look at. They let us wander around the store. When we made it back to the middle of the store, they asked if they could help us. It was the perfect amount of browsing time as I hate to be accosted right when I walk into a store. We still hadn't found what we were looking for and he took us right to them. Showed us which would be perfect for my needs. He was also very helpful in answering other questions just about things that we saw as we passed. I'll be in the market for a new bike pretty soon and I'm going to get it at Midtown Bicycles because they are knowledgeable, nice and have a great selection!
