When I'm in the Twin Cities, my usual nutrition studio where I get shakes and teas with little to…read moreno sugar is North Country Nutrition. For nearly a year, Step Up Nutrition, which is also located in Eagan, has been following one of my social media accounts. I reciprocated. The first thing that I noticed about the folks behind Step Up Nutrition is that they support their sister studios around the Twin Cities. It's nice and refreshing to see. The owner, Kiersten, is open about sharing her 85-pound weight loss. She recently ran a race and put a ton of hours preparing for it. Last Saturday, I decided to drop by this studio to check it out. It was a rather late start for me, to the point where I got to the studio five minutes before it closed at 1 pm. Oops! I blame watching a penguin documentary in my cozy hotel room. I had no problem find this location. It's diagonally across from a Walgreens that I enjoy frequenting, along with Oryza Poke & Ramen. There was lots of parking. I pulled into a spot and walked in. There were three staff members who were incredibly energetic and cheerful. I got to meet Kiersten. She asked how I had found out about their studio. I indicated that someone behind their account had followed mine, which felt similar to how ZeeV's found me. It was nice to learn that Kiersten and her finance are big Minnesota Wild fans. Everyone got to hear my brief story of returning here to Wild games. I did a tea-shake combo. I always like ordering off whatever special menu that is available. The November menu is out in full force. I knew what shake I wanted, but I had questions about the tea flavours. Kiersten was kind to show me the flavours for each tea on her phone. Awesome! I got the following drinks: - French silk pie shake - Crisp air tea I got the shake without whipped cream. I don't know whether French silk pie is exclusively Minnesotan, but I only remember it on the menu at either Bakers Square or Perkins whenever I'm in this state. What I love about each studio is that staff are so welcoming. This one is no different. I entered my phone number in their system and saw three profiles of me. Hey, I have multiple personalities! I went with the first one. They all were valid, but the first one had more details about of the three. I paid with a credit card. I then took photos of my drinks. I loved that my tea had an inspirational message written on it. This place is big on such messages, as you see them on the wall as part of its decor. I thanked everyone here, especially for making me drinks so close to their quitting time. I headed out the door and into my car. I loved the French silk pie shake. The real pie has a crust, with smooth chocolate filling, and whipped cream. This shake had crust-like bits on top, with creamy chocolate throughout the shake. I am not a huge whipped cream fan, so I got that omitted. This shake was awesome! The crisp air tea had lemon tea as its base. It had lemon and lime notes, pineapple, and blueberry blast. It was refreshing and make my tastebuds happy! It was like a fancy tropical mocktail. It was a great first visit. I look forward to returning for more shakes and teas. (447)

Do not recommend this place. Customer service was disappointing…read more When ordering, I specifically asked for a kid-friendly drink recommendation and was given a strawberry fruit tea with popping boba. It ended up tasting extremely bitter--more like strong black tea than anything strawberry. Paying $7 for a drink my kids wouldn't even touch felt like a waste. I went back to ask if they could make it sweeter or offer a different drink. I wasn't asking for a refund, just a chance to have a better experience. They added sweetener but it still tasted very bitter and said their policy doesn't allow to change drinks. To make things worse, staff were speaking to each other in another language right in front of me instead of communicating directly (when they both can speak perfect english), which felt unprofessional. Overall, disappointing experience and not very accommodating to customers.

This is such a hidden gem in a great location. It's a small shop that doesn't have a huge menu but…read moreeverything is delicious. They have a wide variety of drinks and toppings and what makes them special is they offer fresh pressed sugarcane and if you have never had sugarcane I highly recommend, it is a refreshing sweet treat. You will feel like you are on the streets of Asia. They only have cold cut and shredded chicken options for banh mi or you could get the special which has cold cut and shredded chicken which is what I got. There was not a lot of shredded chicken in it but it was a really good banh mi. The flavors were there and the bread was crispy. No complaints. They offered milk substitutes for my friend who is lactose intolerant. Prices are pretty decent here. Banh mi is around $8 which is pretty standard but it's a really good banh mi. Drinks are also around $7-$8 depending on what you get. We went right after tet and we saw they had these cute reusable cups there, they said the promo was over but they gave us these cups for free since we bought enough. There is not much seating here, most people seemed to just pick up to go but our group likes to sit here and talk and it's a nice ambiance for it. I'm hoping if they get more popular they can expand their seating more but it's not necessary. If you are looking for a good banh mi and good boba come here!
