Called them about a misfire on my truck. Told them all of the things I replaced and tested myself including spark plugs, spark plug wires, coil pack, vacuum leak check, and a full ecu reset. I am going camping in a week and needed my truck and figured since I couldn't solve this easily on my own I would take it to a professional. They quoted me $411 for two hours of diagnostic labor. They called me back and told me that they found one of my O2 sensors wasn't giving any readings. This wasn't true because I did a live scan before and after taking it to their shop and was getting o2 readings on all 3 of my sensors. So they essentially lied. They told me that they wanted to charge me another 3 hours ($600) to "keep troubleshooting". I suggested that they replace the O2 wiring and see if that resolves the issue and I would pay the labor hours for that but I was told that was not the "cause" of the misfire. After a roundabout explanation of essentially nothing new or relevant to the misfire they told me "it would be best if I just picked up the truck". They could not give me a straight answer and I was never given the opportunity to speak directly to the tech working on it or the owner. I attached a photo of the bill. The first paragraph is what I told them over the phone. The second paragraph is what they charged me $411 for. They swapped two connectors for the oxygen sensors for $400. I would not recommend this business to anyone. Keep my money, but leave this post up so people know what they're getting themselves into. read more

I wish that more auto shops would operate with the professionalism that this shop does. If you need something diagnosed, they are clear in person and on paper about the issues they find with the vehicle. You can see exactly what parts they use for your repairs. You're not left wondering what they did and what was described when you have an issue. On top of that, there really aren't surprises, because they do digital inspections that you get via text message. You can communicate with them via text, too, which is very convenient. People need to be realistic about the cost of automotive repairs these days, and the timeline in which shops can get them done. Their prices are very fair. I've had front end work done, cooling system work, alignments, and each time, it's done well. Best is to drop off and leave them be to get the job done right and well. They also lock the cars inside at night, so your vehicle isn't left outside. Try getting the same repairs done elsewhere, and you will pay more with subpar service. By the way, they also do complete RV service and repairs, as well as engine dyno service. What a unique and great business. Never once got to speak with the mechanic or the owner. My boyfriend went in for a diagnosis, they charged him $400 just to tell him they couldn't figure it out. They asked for $600 (3 more hours) and couldn't/wouldn't tell us what they had done so far in the diagnosis process. He was very polite to the front desk agent when requesting more information on the work that was done, although we were never directed to speak to a mechanic or the owner who seems to be very involved. Very unprofessional and combative owner, never once chose to speak to us in person/over the phone and instead is defensive over google reviews. It honestly is a good portrayal of the level of service. @owner, please spend some time honing your customer service skills instead of raging at your reviews. Took my vehicle in for repairs to rack and pinion and I'm amazed at how thorough and accommodating they were. They would send texts with pictures of the damage and repaired the issue once they secured the parts and they were done on time. They were a much better value than the dealer and much more thorough and with better communication. They even called me for a follow up to ensure all was good with the repairs. I'm sure you can find less expensive mechanics, but I don't know if you're going to find one that is as organized and thorough. J&K was very responsive to my needs for my 26 foot Springdale trailer. Which had one tire that was wearing on the inside prematurely. They found out the leaf springs were in disrepair, at least one of them. So without taking any more chances I figured I'd have them replace all of them which they did. I took my RV here and paid 550 for spark plugs, wires, and fluid checks. I drive home and the RV wouldn't start again after that. The engine was knocking (because the plugs were incorrectly attached) and the RV mechanic Mike is telling me it could be anything in the engine causing the knock. I think it's fair to offer to fix the spark plugs for free because this was very stressful to just purchase a vehicle and have it not start after I paid to have it checked & serviced by a licensed mechanic so this wouldn't happen. I will continue searching for a different mechanic that doesn't make me feel like a cash cow, and fixes their mistakes apologetically. I ended up reading about plugs and just fixing it myself. I wasn't going to pay 250 for a tow, and then have who knows what else happen to the engine in the shop so I'll keep having to come back. I kinda wish the world would stop being so terrible. Called AAA they said something was draining battery they charged it worked tell next day then battery was dead again. I took it to my macanic and he said it was something electrical and he doesn't do that so I took it to j $ k because they said they were excellent at electrical. i told them something was draining battery and wanted electrical testin. He called me and said battery was dead but put in shop battery and fixed a couple of terminals that's what made the bad connectio. They didn't do the electrical text. They then found 6,000 more dollars of problems. They fucked me over. I took to new place and it was the alternator. J & k never tested the alternator. There crooks. Never go there. I'm calling my fraud attorney Monday!!!!! I found this RV service shop on Yelp. They seemed to have good reviews. Anyway, I called and made an appointment to have my RV serviced. From making the appointment to picking up, everything was top notch. Mike Oakley, our Service Advisor, took excellent care of us. He took the time to explain all the services that were going to be done on our RV. He communicated during to day and notified me when it was ready to be picked up. I know that may not seem like much, but these days, it is very hard to find a RV service shop the "follows through", and JK Automotive does!! Honest and informative mechanics for our RV. We were expecting a $2500.00 invoice for all the work that was needed, however our invoice was only $1,040. One of our issues was our A/C was not working. They found out it was a $10.00 part that was causing the A/C to stop working. Yes, $10.00 So glad we found these guys! This is possibly the strangest way I've come across a company and the story warrants a 5 star review. During fire season, I was about an hour from home and saw the dash light signifying low air in a tire. I'm always afraid of not having a car during evacuations so I went to a gas station to fill the tire but I realized that I had no idea how to do this and told the attendant so much. She shrugged when...a customer next to me said that he'd help me. We went outside only to find that the gauge didn't work properly. The stranger said that he works at an auto shop not too far away and he'll help. So...I threw caution to the wind and followed this complete stranger to an auto shop. The stranger turned out to be Matt and he checked every tire, he showed me how to do it for future practice and my faith in humanity was restored!
