I needed to have my RV generator serviced and Cummings in Ventura no longer does such repair and recommended C & S RV Service Center. This is a family owned and operated business. They are busy, but sooo friendly and responsive. I was so pleased with their service. In addition to servicing the generator, I needed to have the hose on my macerator replaced (I bought the part on Amazon). They gave me appointment reminders and kept me informed by text to let me know when my RV was ready. The price charged was very reasonable. It appears they are a very busy shop, but they accommodated me right at the time of my appointment. I went to breakfast with friends and it was finished when I got back. Candace checked me in/out and she was so friendly and seemed so happy! Even hearing her talking to customers on the phone, she was so professional and nice. I think Jim is the one who worked on my motorhome and even though they appeared to be very busy he was friendly and knowledgeable and thorough. I will use them again! read more

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE. Leaving just 1 star... the were nice enough... BUT with that said.. we took our Raptor toy hauler in for some work to be done (they added a second bathroom which turned out great) but we had them go through the whole thing because we were going across country and wanted to make sure it was road worthy. Spent over $25,000.. made it 10 days into our trip and started having issues. Slide stopped working, leaks in the hydraulic, water heater and heater both stopped working..those were just a few issues.. ended up having to trade it in since we still had 4 weeks to go on our trip. No fun trying to road trip with a rig that keeps breaking. Came home, wrote them a letter and they never even responded or acknowledged! SOOO disappointed.. we will NEVER use them again. Beware using them if you are spending a fortune like we did. The money we spent with them was just not chump change.. it was a financial drain which would have been "OK" if what they did had actually worked. VERY DISAPPOINTED~~~. I really thought they would have at least responded to my letter. read more

If I could give this place ten stars I would!! We recently purchased a coach that needed some work done. Luckily we were pointed in the direction of c&s by a random person my wife met. Craig got us in surprisingly quickly and tackled everything as we were on a deadline (sold home and needed to move into the RV for full time living), he (and team) kept us in the loop on everything being performed and were extremely kind, courteous and professional. We got to know most of the team (shout out to Jim, Candice and Ralph) pretty well and they're a great group of people. I'd like to say my family and their friends has been going there for 30 years, I have had myself and two others personally there, always because they have done an excellent job been on time prices are very responsible great customer service. That being said I purchased a 5th wheel that ended up needing alot of work and I'm for some reason things have definitely changed and this place, my boyfriend and I brought in our 5th wheel back in 2023 and its still to this day sitting outside with excuse after excuse from all kinds of employees! You can bet your butt im upsetting because I or my family or the friends who have been going here or who we have been recommending to to go here would ever be treated this way! I'm sure if the mom or dad was in charge none of this would be happening! So I'm not happy with quite a few employees! Always getting pushed from one to another! Never a straight answer! 4/12/25 we bought a used motorhome and toe dolly 2 yrs ago. we have not used the dolly. i took both to c& s rv to lube and change all oils on the rv and look the dolly over completely for safety including surge braking system since we were going cross country. they did the work ,i paid them. The next day i took the dolly to get new tires. the tire shop noticed the passenger side brake rotor was in real bad shape, "it will need a brake job" very rough not smooth like normal. So i drove over to C&s from there. I asked jim ( ? mech supervisor) why brakes like this ? he says " they are working ,i checked it myself" I asked ,why that rotor was chewed up? he says" probably just rust, check it after your trip" Ok i drive it to 2 hrs camping. come back and no change on the rotor ,you can see and feel it without taking the tire off. So its not rust. I pull the wheel and brakes off that side and one of the 2 brake pads is missing! that's the problem , metal on metal. So i go back to talk to them today ,(3-4 weeks after repairs} thinking the owners would like to know. talked to owners and jim .owners were apologetic, jim says it must have happened on my recent trip. I reminded him i knew the rotor was rough before i brought it in for service , and the tire dealers saw it the day after c& s service when i came back and asked c&s why left in that condition the day after service/ inspection. That was before the 2 hr camp trip. he never even looked at the rotors and pads , easily visible . He did not even come outside to look after the tire shop. So 2x could careless about work ethic and safety and reputation . Not really sure owners were to concerned , they made no offers to remedy the situation. Now what else did i rely on and pay for that was not done , not safe ? You decide, i cant go back or refer. 0--- read more

Our trailer needed a little body work after a wind storm. Bryce was so incredibly helpful. He quoted us an honest price to fix it "properly", but also provided a "home remedy" with instructions and google links for the parts we needed. Unfortunately since the trailer is worth so little, a proper fix was just out of our budget. When we finally upgrade to a new RV, we will be sure to bring it here for repair! This review is overdue by a long shot. Brought my 2019 Heartland Cyclone in after find a huge bubble under the belly. I am talking what had to be over 40 gallons of water had leaked into it. Brice and crew were all very helpful (even though Heartland was not). Had my unit in (End of July/beginning of August, found the issue (water heater improperly installed by the manufacturer), fixed and back to me all within around a week. They called me to ask whether I wanted certain things done before doing work (which is more than appreciated) so there were no surprises and they were upfront and honest. I live in my fifth wheel and while the manufacturer may not be responsive or truly stand behind their product at least C&S RV is there to take care of all the issues that arise from Heartlands seemingly incalculable missteps. My wife and I are new at the RV business. We just bought our first and I wanted to tow a vehicle. Well I soon found out it isn't just that simple. I called this C&S and spoke to both Craig and Candice at different times, found both tho be knowledgeable and more than will to help. Took the Motorhome in and had some work done on it and some things added . Service was great and the price fair. As for the tow package they were the best price in the county and got it completed as parts were available. I've had an appointment for well over a month and a half to bring my brand new RV to this local shop rather than the dealership because I like to support local shops especially during this time. I was greeted by the owner and he immediately made it clear that I was annoying him with my large rig and the fact that I couldn't wait for the repairs to be made. I made it clear I could however return in the morning by 11am to pick my rig back up. He didn't look happy and was huffing and puffing about where to put it etc. he clearly was annoyed with me so I decided to leave at that moment with my rig and try another local rv repair place that values its customers. It's a shame because I have used them in the past and I was also going to have them do my annual service and some additional wiring next time. Unfortunately there won't be a next time! read more

Jim to the rescue once again. My invisibrake system in my gladiator stopped working. I couldn't find anything that was disconnected so I called C and S. Jim recalibrated it and then tested it, no luck. Went through the wiring and found a wire had come out of the plug. Tested again, still no luck. Figured out where the issue had to be and found the wire had been ripped apart. Of course it was I. The worst place possible, but he got it fixed for me. I now take my motor home to C and S since they have such great customer service! Highly recommend! read more

If I could put zero stars, I would. We left our motorhome there last October (2022) to fix an intermittent stalling issue, along with a couple other minor repairs. They asked us when we needed it back and we told them by the end of the year. We called a while back to check on the status and was told that Craig would call us back. We never received a callback. Since we couldn't get an answer by phone, we decided last week to drive there (45 minutes) for an update. Craig never apologized for taking so long but assured us he would make ours a priority and start working on it right away. He also said that he doesn't have the equipment to work on a Cat engine so he would need to get a mobile service to help him with that. Yesterday, we called again for an update and still nothing had been done so we told him to forget about it and that we were coming to pick it up. Meanwhile, we have been paying for an empty covered storage for the past 6 months while our RV was kept in an uncovered area, getting dirty at C&S. What a waste of time and money when we could have been using it. read more

STAY AWAY !!!!! WARNING!!! This was the most horrible, unprofessional, angry, passive-aggressive group of people I have dealt with in a while. A very long and disturbing story. I brought my RV in 6/6/16 and let them know I had a 2 week vacation coming up end of August that year. They said it's all good we will get it done in time. I have them my list, and followed up 2 times a week to just make sure things were moving along. I was told up until two weeks before we were going to leave that they were humming along, fixing everything, etc. They hadn't touched it at all! Then when they dug in they discovered other issues (which I assumed and voiced this might happen, hence why I scheduled with them to bring it in 3 months ahead of time. We just bought it as a fixer upper and wanted to give them plenty of time). So they worked on it, and it of course wasn't done and wouldn't be done, in total with all the work it took about 2.5 weeks to finish; which if they did that ahead of time would have been done in plenty of time. So they offered for $900 we could rent there RV (giving us no option really since our trip was all RV scheduled and reserved). They thought this was a favor they were doing since they thought it was funny and didn't care their mis-communication and lies for 3 months potentially caused our family vacation to be ruined. We get back and there are two minor damages we caused (one of them questionable, since I didn't take pictures before (as the stress of RV not being done, more $$ for an RV that wasn't ours had to be paid immediately and on top of that we didn't leave until very late the day we had to leave). But of course, the owner is smiling and laughing at the stress that I'm obviously under. And mentions this will probably make your insurance go up, and giggled. When I was finally able to pick up my RV after waiting 1.5 months later, because the bill was almost 11k; I noticed the overflow cap that was the reason I brought it in the first place wasn't replaced, and of course when I started it the coolant started coming out! After 11k work, this would have (if unnoticed) blew my engine and these people don't stand behind there work or care! This is Feb 2017 after our large rain realized our roof we spent $1200+ to have it re-done. Leaks everywhere !! Called and they said again holding back anger at me, you will need pay us to fix the roof we repaired!! These people SUCK!!! They deserve zero stars!! read more

We needed our outer skylight replaced. Although it took several weeks to get the right part (the wrong one was initially received), they were able to get the job done in an hour. Everyone seemed pleasant and helpful. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the work hasn't been "put to the test" (crossing our fingers for no leaks when it rains), and I was just a little disappointed that they didn't bother to clean the inner part of the skylight. From inside the trailer, you can see dust/debris and some piece of fabric? popping out from the side. It's not detrimental since we normally keep the skylight curtain closed. Other than that, we had a good experience and will return if we need service again. read more

I went in for a repair after calling ahead to confirm they accept a commercial fleet payment company. I was the only customer in the shop and initially greeted with 2 employees and 1 manager looking and conversing anywhere but at me for about 5 minutes and then after they finished their important discussion I received blank stares.. no "hello" or "how can I help you?" Noting a clear lack of interest in their business, I wanted to be reassured they accept fleet payment. They simply uttered "I don't know what you're talking about." We just had rolled into the area and upon trying to get set up, the slides would not work. Made due as best we could the first night but wife fell badly navigating the narrow hallway. I thought there might be a problem with the switch underneath the drivers seat which closes the loop when the seat is all the way forward allowing the slide switches to work. Called early on a Friday morning, stated my problem and was told to bring the motor home in and they would look at it. They were busy as the small lot was full with coaches on the street. They sent a tech out immediately to look at the situation. He diagnosed the problem and was able to ingeniously bypass the little idiot switch by making it think the seat was always forward. Anyways, I was out of there is less than 20 minutes with a no charge. Even offered to make a donation to something, someone! Graciously said no charge again. Now I just need to make sure the seat is truly forward as the slides will work even with the seat extended. Many thanks for the prompt courteous service. read more

They are honest and we use them for my regular maintenance in addition to when we have a problem. They go out of their way to help. We had a motorhome totaled last year in an accident and had it towed there. Their assistance in the evaluation was truly helpful and they did not make money for helping. Brought in my RV today for some quick fixes. They were packed so they took me in front of the store, while I waited. Cool! Fixed wipers and installed new vent cover in less than an 1 hour! What??? We were having a mysterious problem with a propane leak on the road , called Brice the service manager and he said to bring it in for eval. After some detective work he determined the problem was a leak of the regulator under pressure which was replaced very quickly and reasonably. These guys are great. I needed major work done within a 3 three week window and they fitted me in, kept in regular contact every few days with updates, fixed everything really well and were friendly to deal with. Their work was excellent. They found the source of a leak under my floor, repaired it, replaced the floor and vinyl, discovered the slide wall insulation was damp too so fixed that and all within my time-window. Also, they did some body work repair and matched it so well there's no trace of the original scrape. They dealt with my insurance company regularly and everything was covered. Worst mechanic experience ever! Took our RV in for service before a family vacation last summer. Brought it in 3 months before our vacation to ensure that we would have it in time for our vacation. Made it VERY clear repeatedly how important it was that we have our RV back in time for our road trip. We kept checking in on a regular basis and kept being told that it was being worked on and would definitely be done in time for our trip. Two weeks before our trip, we found out that absolutely no work had been done on our RV and we had been being lied to for months. We escalated the issue to the owner who was extremely unprofessional in controlling his anger towards the situation. We were understandably upset, but he responded with so much rage that it made the rest of our experience beyond uncomfortable. We were able to rent an RV from them for our trip, but they charged us an arm and a leg to do so. That on top of how much they charged us in the end for all of the work done on our RV made us think that this was their intention all along. Now, months after all of the work they did, we finally get some rain and find that our roof is leaking in several spots (after we paid to have them re-seal our roof). Upon calling to complain and ask that they fix this, we were met again with hostility and told that we would have to pay to have them fix this as we are past the 3 month warranty period. Do not bring your RV to this shop! They do not stand behind anything that they do and they do not treat their customers with any amount of courtesy. read more

When I called this morning the owner told me everyone carried my part (which is not true) and he also carried the part yet he had no interest in mailing it to me. C & S is incompetent, dishonest, and have very poor communication. I brought in my RV for repair. They were unable to source the part needed to make the repair (a task I accomplished on my own in less than 15 minutes on google). Additionally, they lost my property, admitted they lost it, then changed their minds and refused to replace, or compensate. I have had to make 10+ visits and never have received any communication in return. I am an easy going customer, but this is the worst business I've ever dealt with.
