Horrible company to deal with! My husband received his CPAP machine and supplies unfortunately through this company. The machine and humidifier have not worked correctly since the day we received it. Each time we call we are left on hold forever and have left three messages to have a manager call us back. We have yet to hear from anyone. This morning I called asking for the address to ship the equipment back and the only concern their phone rep had was to let me know we would be charged for shipping and we would be continually charged for the equipment until received. Total disregard for the issues we were having. The only time you hear from this company is when they constantly call you wanting to ship new supplies. This is what I sent to my Pulmonologist: Hello, I would like to be switched to Apria. J&L is not working for me. They are unreliable and incompetent, NOT customer service friendly. I have requested to pick up my Cpap replacement in Torrington today since I was in the area. All I need is to pick up, no need for demo nor instruction. Yet they sent me to W. Springfield MA (more than an hour drive) to have demo and fitting, which btw was not done. She just handed me the bag and I signed. I asked if I have mask, head gear, new prescribed mask Soft Touch AirFit N30i in the bag. She told me it's all in the bag. I trusted her and my bad I didn't check before leaving. Tonight as I was setting it up and realized I don't have any of the mask (new Rx mask nor old nasal pillow). I had mask fitting on 8/21 w/ RRT, it's been almost a month and I have not received any new Rx mask. This is frustrating. They are making me run around and the least that could have been done is to make sure I have everything. I will call J&L first thing in the AM. Thank you for your understanding. I spoke to a Melinda today (supply dept.) she's nice and apologized for overlooking new Rx SoftTouch mask. It only took almost a month for them to figure it out until I followed up. It seems like you have to be proactive with them all the time to get things done. I don't recommend J&L. read more

Where do I begin.... except that this is the worst company I've ever delt with. 1) picked up my son's wheelchair, driver almost left without giving me a pickup receipt 2) we have been getting billed for over 3 years now for rental fees for after the date of pick up. 3) I've spoken with countless people, provided copy of pick-up receipt multiple times and they would tell me it's taken care of then continued to bill me, or I should say my son who was under 18 at the time, today 21. 4) I keep asking for someone from management to call me to explain the reason we are getting billed and if I'm responsible I will pay but instead I get bills threatening collections. 5) I will not pay for what I think we don't owe until someone gets on the phone with me and explains to me why we are getting billed for services after the pick-up date. 6) Now the bill is only for 28.60, but imagine they doing this for every customer? Then they followed up and sent me two items. They have repeatedly sent me a women's CPAP mask, not a men's. The women's does not fit. One ended up at my new address and one at my old. They were going to email me a return label I could send to my former neighbor to return the shipment, which I have yet to receive. If I could give zero stars I would. I received a bill. I called them and told them I had met my deductible and according to the EOB there should be no charge to me. They said oh your right I see that. They supposedly fixed it. Yeah guess what they threw the charge on a credit card I had on file that I had to give them or they wouldn't give me my supplies. This place has to be the worst place I have ever dealt with. After stringing me along concerning my cpap machine for 9 months, I cut the cord. They put me on a list which unbeknownst to I was dropped from and no one bothered to call me. Then I dealt with an individual I would love to name put me back on the list but kept saying I needed this and that and he didn't think my insurance would cover it. A few days before we were expecting a large storm that the news was saying would definitely knock out our electricity,I called J&L to get back up tanks for my mother since she's on oxygen 24/7with an oxygen condensing machine. The first person I spoke to hung up on me because she said that I had to talk to her or not the representative who asked that I call her back. I ended up getting a supervisor on the phone after calling back, and she promised me (practically promised me her firstborn child) that she would work this out for me. ......And then she proceeded to go on vacation for the entire holiday. She never left me a voicemail and never called me back. Thank goodness we did not lose electricity but if we did, we would've been in a lot of trouble. Horrible customer service. Twice I've had them cancel an order without notifying me. Both times, my insurance didn't respond with an authorization within 3 days so they just cancelled the order. No notification to me. Figured it out when I called weeks later looking for my supplies. They'll call you the day you're eligible for a reorder but wait weeks to ship them, leaving me to get interim supplies from Amazon. The billing is the worst though. The only bill when someone "works" your account, which can be weeks to months later. I was told twice that owed nothing for my CPAP machine when my insurance authorized payment. 8 months later, someone got around to my account and I got a $600 bill out of the blue. They told me this is their process. Set up auto payments for supplies, hoping to pay those bills quickly - again, they charge it when they get to it. They'll send a bill, no auto payment taken - several times I paid it online and then found out they had done an auto payment in between, so I paid twice and then had to fight with them to refund. I tried to leave a message for the manager of J&L delivery drivers, but his mailbox was full and I could not leave a message. I didn't receive oxygen yesterday, my normal Monday delivery day. No one (driver or office) called to say I would not get a delivery today. I called the Conn. office yesterday and a rep told me she'd call me on Tues. after speaking with the driver. This morning (Tuesday, 9:20 am) when I didn't hear from the Conn. office, I called. The rep said she had spoken with the driver and gave him my number to call me before delivery. As of 2:40 pm, no one has called about my delivery. This failure to inform re missed deliveries has happened since 2017 (I handled oxygen for a relative and, then, I started oxygen in 2020). Will anyone deliver portable oxygen to me for December? Christmas and New Year's both fall on Sundays, making the next two Mondays holidays. (FYI: I need oxygen so I can clean snow off my car or the apt. complex will tow my uncleaned car at my expense.) I handled Customer Service for national computer support for field offices and I would have fired the staff who did what has happened with J&L. We rented a Hoyer lift to transfer from bed to chair and back. We recently had a problem that the Hoyer was operating rough. I called 4 times in 24 hours explaining that there is a problem with this device, and if it breaks down, my girlfriend would be stuck in either the bed or chair. All they do is take my name, phone number, and address, and tell me that someone would call me back. I've even asked to speak to a supervisor, and was asked for my name, phone number, and address, and said someone will call me back. This is the worst medical company and if it comes time that my girlfriend is stuck in bed or chair, I will sue them and make sure they go out of business. read more

Everything about J & L Medical and Lincare is HORRIBLE. The customer service and billing are horrific. The respiratory people could care less. I sleep with a CPAP, and I suffered with this company for years, but years ago when it was time for a new CPAP machine, I asked my doctor to please refer me to another company than Lincare. She referred me to a small local company, and they were great in every respect. Sadly, within a couple of years, the great company I had found was purchased by the J & L Medical part of Lincare , so now back to this horrible company. Recently. I was having some issues with my nasal pillows, and they suggested that I use a different type with gel pillows. I waited two months and got my new headgear and pillows, but when I went to use it, I found out they do not have XS pillows for this headgear - and anything larger than XS is too big for me which is in my medical record, so what they sent is useless. They refuse to take it back and refund my purchase price, even though it is their mistake selling me something which did not have my size! I am so utterly digusted with them. If you can find another company, avoid this one! I am going to contact my doctor and see if there is any alternative company. read more
