Everyone at this location is very helpful, polite, and professional. They make our visits seamless.

Please stay away from this location. I have been bringing my daughter here for years, literally years. & Today we go and I tell them everything is the same as it's always been. They do her exam & we go sit down for them to order the glasses and they gave me paperwork for me sign something saying insurance will cover this and that... please keep in mind that I stated numerous times that the insurance doesn't sound right as my husbands insurance through work was no longer active. They said it's pulling up so let them pay. Okay cool. I go to sign paperwork and my daughter's first name is spelled correctly, her last name isn't. My daughter's birthdate is wrong... they initially told me that the woman just copied it over wrong & it's fine... then she begins looking back and forth a bit more closely and finds that the last name is spelled this "incorrect" way... then they ask me if my name is Crystal and I say no. Suddenly everything that was covered through insurance needs to be paid. We cancelled ordering glasses with the understanding that I would just order online and then they tried to charge me for today's visit. They tried justifying it by saying they were reimbursing me for something from our previous visit that should never have been ordered to begin with. I made it clear that I wasn't paying because she has insurance that they apparently no longer take & it's not on me that they ran the wrong one. I did walk out with my refund from the previous visit and I plan to reschedule my daughter's visit with another business. Any business that is okay with brushing off the fact that they were running the wrong insurance as if it's no big deal and has still tried to run it in the beginning is shady. Really makes me wonder what they've been up to. I do intend to report them because this is not okay. read more

The worst service and the most unprofessional staff imaginable. The telephones didn't work for over a week and they are rude and uneducated. They tried to up sell products and services saying they were to be purchased per Ct state law. I will be contacting their main office and the state of Ct to air my grievances. Horrible customer service! I went there to look for glasses, took the time to pick out frames, lenses, etc and had to wait to be able to pay for them. Once I called back to place the order they said they would have to look it up and get back to me, which they didn't. They when I called them back about it the next day they told me that they audit their system and purge orders on a monthly basis and that I have to come down and do everything all over again. They also claimed that they tried to contact me before deleting my order but that's not true either because I would have responded to a voicemail or email that my eyeglass order was about to be deleted. They book too many patients per hour, and are poorly coordinated with their scheduling. When I arrived at 11:44 AM for my 11:45 AM appointment, I was informed that my appointment, which had been changed by them over the phone, was for 11:30 AM, and that I therefore had to reschedule. How many hours have I spent waiting in their office for the doctor to become available? Even if they were right that I was 15 minutes late, which I was not, they should have seen me that day. Took my money. Never delivered my eyeglasses. I ordered two pairs of eyeglasses, the order was processed through my vision coverage successfully, and I paid my portion out of pocket. My vision insurance provider confirmed with me over the phone that YES, they covered this transaction. Flash forward 2 months! I still hadn't received my eyeglasses, and had been calling MyEyeDr every week or two to check on the status, and now they tell me that the glasses had been sent back and re-ordered, and that now they can't re-order them for me again because my insurance is denying the claim for too low of a prescription, even though my insurance says that since I had refractive surgery I would qualify for sunglasses to protect my eyes even with a low prescription. Of course the insurance is no longer accepting the claim now because 2 months have passed and in that time my insurance benefit has expired! But they did cover it at the time of purchase and the time of service! Plus I've already paid!! After an awful experience, I asked the representative at MyEyeDr Watertown to refund my money, and it's now 48 hours later and my credit card charge still hasn't been reversed! My son went to the Watertown, CT location because he couldn't get into the Naugatuck location. The ladies that work there were nothing but rude. They were talking about the hoodie he had on and said what does that even mean its so stupid!! Well, if they had just asked him nicely he would have let them know that he is active duty military and that his hoodie has his battalions name on it!! They were very rude and talking about him within earshot so he overheard everything. The receptionist even ripped the UPS delivery guy a new one because he didn't pick up a package the day before. The guy told her he only delivers and doesn't do pick ups but he went above and beyond to take the package from her and drop it off at a drop off location. My son couldn't have been more happy with the doctor, Dr Patricia Youngquist. He said she was awesome. They really need to approach these women and let them know they need to change their attitudes and have a little respect for the customers who obviously pay their salaries!!! read more

Worst eye care provider ever. I was sent to MyEyeDr. by my safety department to get safety glasses. I needed new personal glasses anyway, so I had the full eye exam, picked out my personal glasses, paid for the balance that my insurance did not cover, then they told me they did not do safety glasses (this was the middle of February). Called my safety department to find out why they had sent me to that location and they had no idea why they would not take the order. Several weeks of emails and calls to corporate office, Watertown MyEyeDr. stated they made a mistake. Back to the office to order the needed safety eye wear and pick up my personal eye glasses(2+ weeks). Put on the new eye glasses and could not see correctly out of them. Staff told me to wear them because I needed to get use to them. Ordered the safety eye wear and left with the eye glasses(first week of March). Fast forward seven months and four pairs of personal eye glasses, several reorders of the safety eye wear(they thought it was a good idea to change my order without telling me)(could not see out of those either). My prescription is just a basic Progressive lens, nothing fancy. The staff has no clue what they are doing, sell you an inferior product and make excuses why the glasses do not work. I have been wearing Progressive lenses for over fifteen years and have never had such a problem getting glasses. Staff would not let you know when the eye wear was in, safety glasses were sitting there for three weeks,(I had to get tracking from my safety department to find out where my glasses were). We just moved into town two months ago. Last night my wife stepped on my wire rimmed glasses and bent them into a pretzel. Both lenses popped out. I brought them over to MyEyeDr and asked them if they could save them even though I hadn't bought them there. She said she would try and have a seat. 15 mins later she came back with my glasses like new. There was no charge. Now THAT'S how to run a business. I'll be going there for my next exam. read more
