After the last treatment I had worked nights and wanted a quick water test to see if we should do anything else before using it over the weekend. I went to R and R as R as it was close and I was hoping to switch to there for my Maintenance chemicals and water readings. The owner ran my pool water and said "it looks great! Give it one more shock and enjoy your pool". I asked her what shock she recommended and she gave me one. I came home, shocked it- took a quick nap, picked up my daughter and came home to swim....to find it cloudy and brown. I returned to the store with a sample and her response was, yeah sometimes that happens. I asked her why she skipped a step in what the pool report said and she replied with, "we are out of it, so I didn't have any to give you". She than said If I run this sample it will be $5 you only get one free one a week. I said but my water was literally perfect. I did wgat your said and now it's brown again. She said, yeah I'm Sorry. What in the actual heck?!?? I said well tgan I'd like to return the rest of the shock I bought (3 bottles) her reply was sorry no refunds. My kind is blown honestly at the y professionalism. I than went to Leslie's where they couldn't believe even from her original reading she had told me to swim in the pool and couldn't believe how much the chemical she gave me changed the water reading. Needless to say use caution, they are rude...and apparently not the best at pools.

We were given their name by the prior homeowners who used Richards for years prior to that (so a verrry long time). At first when they were smaller, Richard would be the one along with a helper (his son i believe) to personally close/open our pool. They were great, service was great and they crossed their T's and dotted their I's. Good work all around and the cost was reasonable. Thru the years, however, as business expanded i'm guessing the workers who were being sent out were less than great and they seemed to always forget to do at least 1 thing to winterize the pool properly simultaneously the cost to close the pool has increased substantially. Year after year since 2017 the quality of the job deteriorated with each new crew being sent to do the work. This last season in particular, they absolutely 'forgot' to add chemicals and the filter sand was not even cleaned - they used to top off the sand filter just by sticking their hand in there and taking out any muck from the first couple inches. When we opened the pool this summer it was an absolute mess. I mean, I've NEVER seen the water look worse than a mucky pond - EVER. It took us over a week to get the water clear. If this was a fluke I'd understand but since their workmanship over the years has steadily declined as their prices have steadily skyrocketed i feel it's time to say so. Do better Richard.
