Jason and Nathan McClurg came out to find a leak in my pool, and they were fantastic--very knowledgeable and professional. They explained everything they were going to do beforehand and made sure I had the chance to ask any questions. After locating the issue, they clearly explained my options and were able to fix the problem on the spot. Their admin staff is also professional and a pleasure to work with. This used to be a quality pool company that stood by their products and service. This is no longer the case. I had a pool liner installed by them 5 years ago. This is my third liner that was installed. There was nothing but problems with this liner from the moment it was installed. Folds appearing all over the pool. Caribbean saying it was from high traffic. The first liner lasted almost 15 years and never had one fold. Fast forward to this year and the liner has ripped. The pool liner company is pro-rating their product as their liners should last more than 5 years. Based on photos, they are discounting me 80% of cost. However, that doesn't help me with install. I am asking for Caribbean to pro rate the install as well. I have been getting nothing but the run around from Wendy at Caribbean. They are not interested in helping me nor standing by a 20 year customer. This company needs to be avoided as they no longer provide top notch service. So disappointed as I used to recommend them to anyone who asked me about inground pools. I will now be happy to share my story with anyone who contacts me in future about my experience. Caribbean was great and highly professional and would have given them 5 stars, but they referred us to All Season Landscape Services out of Orland Park, IL. Dealing with Caribbean was great and were happy to be referred to one of their partnered services providers. Unfortunately, we had nothing but trouble with All Season Landscape Services and their owner Jay El Mahassni. Do business with Caribbean...do not do business with Jay El Mahassni. There are too many instances of "miscalculations" and unreturned calls/texts requesting honoring of his contractual obligations. read more

I have a large pool as a new owner. I had Caribbean pools come close my pool in the fall (October) I had the full winterization and they put the safety cover on. LAST SUMMER and every summer prior there may have been some algae in the pool but never leaves, sticks, and the degree of stuff in the pool as this time. It was as if there was no cover at all. The cover was not tightened properly. I asked if someone would be willing to take a look and was told the range for cleaning is $975-1200 because debris in a safety cover is normal. I asked even if it were not done correctly, the reply was there is no guarantee of no debris. So now I have an unused nasty pool. read more

wonderful company!! We purchased a fiberglass pool from Carribean. Paul the salesman was terrific he was not pushy and even gave us suggestions on how to save money. We chose to ignore his suggestions and went with a ledge pool also. From beginning to end they were excellent. They own all their own contractors so no step had to be subcontracted out. All the trades get along so well. Every step of the project was fun to watch and they went above and beyond for us. Dave and his crew electrical were so professional and fun. concrete crew were great! They even made us a stepping stone with our name and year and a special bday wish. installation crew answered all my many questions. Office staff I spoke with Jennifer always fun to speak with. We cannot give enough praise to this company. Although they were a little pricey compared to some estimates we received, we are so grateful we chose Carribean. I wish we could give ten stars. I paid for a pool cleaning online and they were supposed to come out June 11th. Today I get a voicemail that they cant do my pool because my equipment is inside. It's inside because it was winter and we take it in during winter months as you should do. Told them it would be put together and outside by the time they got here. Talked to someone else after listening to the voicemail and explained that to them. That person gives me another excuse why they can't come out. I ask for the manager, she tells me yet another reason they can't come out. WTH?? They just did my neighbor's who has the exact same equipment as I do. Great business practice. Thanks for nothing!! I have been a customer of this business for over 15 years and i have spent thousands of dollars in repairing my hot tubs through the years i bought a baja spa several years ago and spent more money than I should have only because the sales pitch was that you buy from us and you will get the best service. I recentlyt had a low pressure issue and i called over a month ago for service since then I've called 3 times and the young lady expresses apologies and asked every time my number for someone to call me even though my number hasn't changed in 10 years. What they didnt realize is that i wanted my 4 person tub serviced because I had it sold and i was going to buy a 6 person model. Not now from them. So i guess that when a company gets so big that they forget about the old loyal customers then its time to move to a company that cares. read more

We have a Caribbean pool. We don't have many issues, but when an issue arises, such as a tear in our auto cover or our heater not working properly, the service crew responded to our request very quickly. Their work is very good and they do a great job of cleaning up after themselves. We had a new liner put in Spring of 2011, and it looked and still looks fantastic! The staff in the field is fantastic. The service technicians are very knowledgeable and also very friendly. My husband is generally the one who goes into the store, so I don't have a ton of interaction with the retail associates, but the limited interactions I have had have been very pleasant. Plus their water testing is free. They stand behind their work. Calling them out for service work to our home has never not been worth it! read more

We had Caribbean Pools build my pool back in 2006! The construction process was great. The guy were professional and my wife was amazed at how hard the guys worked. There was less than expected damage to the yard. It turned out beautiful. We enjoyed the pool for several years and definitely got plenty of use out of it. Ask for quote to replace liner for in ground pool. Told me tech would have to come out and inspect equipment and take measurements. Tech came out and got an email back...days later. Stated that they cannot offer service for my pool because of open electrical, heater stack is missing, and use of CSST(which was connected and terminated outside of the heater). The open electrical was a junction box, still had plate attached. No biggie close it up 2 seconds. CSST used within code so no idea. Stack for heater, 5 minutes to fix with ductwork. Wrote back saying I didn't want equipment work just liner replacement. But from reading some reviews, I don't think I even want that. read more

TERRIBLE!! I would not even recommend them to my worst enemy! They are not upfront about the cost of their pools, until they have it installed and want more money. The electric winter cover was not installed properly (according to the written repair bills from the manufacturer of the cover) and should not have been used with my pool. The owner tape recorded a conversation (unbeknownst to me) between the two of us about the installation of the cover. They like to keep their butts cleared of all lawsuits because of their shoddy work. All their equipment is not up to date and use discontinued pool equipment, according to manufacturers and other pool companies. Use another pool company in NW Indiana and save yourself a HUGE headache!! read more

We were looking to get a pool and came in to get information on the different types of pools and prices. The sales guy was very nice and informative. I did think the prices seemed high, but we still wanted a quote. He said he would have someone come out to look at our yard and give us a firm price for the package. He was supposed to call within 2 days, but they NEVER did! So we went somewhere else who was happy to have our business and for a fraction if the cost!!! read more

I called a few weeks ago to get service because I have a leak in my pool the water behind my liner. I had to send them pictures of my setup to continue with this process. They needed my pump to be hardwired before they come out. I said no problem. A week later I tried to make an appointment for them to come out. They asked about the water quality. I said it's a little murky but you could see the bottom. They said they want to clear. This would have been nice to know two weeks ago before they told me this. Just delaying the process. So I ran the pump for 4 days a clearing up the water as much as I could even though I am just running it through the main drain. I also feel the pool for about 4 days straight because of the leaks. Set up more pictures of the pool with much clearer water and they ghosted me. That means they basically blew me off with no text back, no call ...no nothing. I took it as a basically wanted nothing to do with my job because it was a little more complicated then what they're used to. They could have said that from the beginning but they strung me along for 3 weeks. Major lack of communication on their part. It is what it is and actually worked out my favor. Buy them blowing me off I contacted Aqua Pools and they were a tremendous help. Even though my appointment is on the 23rd for them to come over, they talk me through a few things that I could do to help my problem. So far I have passed three holes myself and pumped all the water from behind the liner myself. This basically fixed 85% of my problem. So their terrible lack service to me has probably saved me thousands of dollars! read more

It was fantastic! I love their customer service! When they came to install my pool they were very helpful with showing me how to work everything. My kids love the new pool! Our dog, Champ, always enjoys swimming! My kids always beg me to go and buy new pool amenities at Caribean. They truly have the best service and are always willing to answer my small questions! Not sure if this is the norm or not for life duration of in-ground pools, but Caribbean Pools installed my pool 29 years ago, May 1987, and aside from some cracked deck concrete, replacing the filter system and liner one time, the pool has never had a leak in the under ground piping. I live too far away, western Chicago burbs, to utilize there store or other services, but they did a great job in the installation all those years ago. read more
