Most unprofessional and racist person I've encountered in Spokane WA since I moved here from UK. Claims 25 years of experience but quoted falsely to get the bid and then wanted extra. Sent a bid for plumbing in a sink with grey water drain. Arrived 1 hr late because he went to get materials at the store. Took longer than the 2hrs he estimated because he couldn't do the soldering properly. And then he puts in a red pipe for the cold water because he was short on material even though he went to the store. Then he tells me it will cost extra 300 as his quote did not include the connection for drainage for the grey water because he thought I was going to do it. I'm 6 mths pregnant with a toddler on hand! and I was going to do the plumbing? Why did I call him for then? Then he got huffy and said" I'm 80% done but I won't finish the job or because you just Asianed it". I'm glad he huffed off because any longer I had to put up with this neanderthal, I might have called the cops. Beware of this dishonest and rude character. I learnt my lesson about hiring anyone off Nextdoor, who talks the talk without decent follow through with actions. What an unpleasant experience!! read more

This has been the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with!! I scheduled him to come unplug a toilet at our Nine Mile Falls, WA home. He said he'd be here today between 8:30 & 9:30. He alls at 9:00 to tell me he is in the area, but it turns out he is at the wrong address. He got an address of Spokane, WA in his GPS. Not sure why he didn't recall our address being Nine Mile Falls. Anyway, he wanted to re-schedule for the end of the day and I was unable to do that as I would be gone from the home. Our conversation got a little heated and he hung up on me. He sent me the following text "You're a very inconsiderate old lady my GPS took me to the wrong dang spot and you're not willing to work with me so therefore I'm not willing to work with you. Good luck have fun getting ripped off by another company." This is from the owner! I'm generally not one to write bad reviews, but this went too far. How unprofessional. read more

It has been a pleasure to work with J&M Plumbing on updating my plumbing. My house had ancient galvanized pipes; I needed them changed to PEX. I also needed my washroom moved from one place to another and installed a 3-stage water filter, water softener, and connecting the new combi-boiler. This house is such a pain to do anything in. There was no surprise when things took longer than average, but we always had running hot and cold water every night when he left. I am glad I chose to have J&M Plumbing on the project. I had two other large plumbing outfits bid on this project, and their prices felt like they bid it so high I wouldn't take them, which is precisely what happened. I've known Jamie with J & M Plumbing for many years, and was so sad when he told me he was leaving Los Angeles to move to Washington state with his wife and daughter. He was always my 'go to' guy when I had a plumbing issue. Be it a small job or a difficult problem, Jamie was always able to to fix what needed to be done. He's responsive, he shows up at the scheduled time - and he'll call if he's running late. I also believe he's honest with his pricing, and doesn't overcharge for things you don't need. Had a water leak from a line that was not capped upon removal of a fridge due to moving in to an older home. J&M was the first company to respond to my Yelp quote request and was at my place on a Sunday 20 minutes after we connected via Yelp. Jamey was easy to deal with, knowledgeable as I would expect and didn't charge me extra for the Sunday service call! Jamey took care of the water line then helped me resolve several other plumbing issues around my house for much less than I thought the costs would be. Most other plumbing companies wouldn't even respond to my calls/texts, during a weekend no-less, so J&M plumbing will always be our go to plumber!
