The food is what kept me coming back until the last time I was there. The food was cooked by a different person I couldn't finish it. The staff is always rude and never smile and you're always trying to get their attention to get a refill. I would give it a 2 1/2 if it were an option. Everytime i order from here ..the people working never smile..say hello or thank you or offer you a drink while your waiting for your food. The gyro is good and u get alot of meat but the meat needs to be cooked longer after its cut off the spit to bring out the flavor of the meat. The french frys are bland and have zero taste. I always opt for the tater tots which are really good. 5 stars on those. Today..i tried something new.."homemade chicken salad sandwhich"..it came on a bun with shredded lettuce. No thank you! I Would not order that again..wayyy toooo much mayonaise. And needs to be served on toasty toast! I ordered a take out. The restaurant has NO place to pick up take outs so you go to the bar. Usually someone is sitting in your way at the bar. In picking up my order I encountered the the rudest most vulgar person, maybe ever, sitting in my way. I will not repeat the disgusting things that he said to me, but sorry Mosquito, no more of that for me. Create a pickup window. read more

To be fair, when you finally get your food, it's good. The issue is service - it's awful. They don't have waitresses, you have to go to bar & order, no big deal, but they had 3 bartenders, tables are left un-bussed to sit at when you arrive. Place wasn't crazy busy, I ordered dinner for my wife and I at the bar & waited, and waited, and waited. As the table next to us was served, who arrived 20 minutes after we did, after an hour of waiting, I went up to the bar and asked for a refund. I politely explained we'd been waiting an hour and pointed out the table next to us had been served. No apology, not a word, nothing, gal was a bit curt & rude. Refunded my money. It's too bad, because it could be a great place, it's the service that kills the place. My advice, if you want service - sit at the bar, otherwise it's not their priority. read more

We go on Thursday and the same two bartenders are working they never say hello or crack a smile the faces never move. The worst we ordered tacos never got asked what type of shell we wanted, sauce tasted sour. Won't be going back. read more

Great food & really great drinks. The place is very clean inside. I loved the theme and they also put decorations for seasons. The hot honey sauce is amazing. The drinks were great especially the Bloody Mary, we got it spicy. The wing sauce was really great too, Nashville Hot & Hot honey. The bacon was super crispy. read more

I stopped in a 3 times during the last year and I try not to be negative, but the service/bartender sucks !! The bar is under new owners and seems nice inside and out. The food is good, fish fry ok, but had better. but every time I order a drink, I have a bartender trying to run the whole bar by themselves and they give me looks like I am bothering them, one older bartender could not even pour a beer from the tap ??? seriously. two beers $7.00 ??? on 07-02-19 a young girl with her hair pinned up had such a attitude, she was the only person working behind the bar all night. This bar still looks like a great rule bar along the road as it is on the outer edges of Racine Wisconsin and maybe a biker bar during the summer. This place has unique sections and is a small one-story blackbear type of bar where one can enjoy a time with her friends and watching television I think they serve lunch and breakfast food as well which is unusual for a bar and kudos to them read more

First time having the food, had it delivered via DoorDash. I am constantly craving good wings and thought that Joe O.'s review stating best wings around were worth trying. Got the sweet chili and the sauce is good, mild kick to it and good flavor. The chicken was cooked but there was a little freezer burn on it but the meat wasn't bad. It's worth a shot for sure. One of Racine's best dive bars and home to a good Friday fish fry. The Mosquito has been renovated recently, so it has a better layout with a lot more space. The patio is a nice touch. Plus, you don't have to worry as much about getting shot or stabbed here as you would at the downtown bars. read more

This bar always has amazing service, Morgan and Mackenzie are very friendly and accommodating. They provide good and safe service.

Staff friendliness inconsistent. Many times it seems like they don't seem to care whether you come back or not. Wing prices too high and they charge $1 extra for a little cup of dipping sauce, with only a small cup given for a full set of wings. Wings taste pretty good though. read more

After reading good things about their sanitation and distancing over the summer, I remembered someone saying they had good lake perch. We ordered tonight and the perch was fine, but our two dinners came with one coleslaw and the fries on top of the slice of bread...soggy and smashed. The only people in the place wearing face masks were the people picking up takeout, even though the door stated face masks were required. Not one employee had one on. Will not be returning. Have been here several times throughout the years as well as my family members. First of all my stepdad found a literal green WORM in his food about a year ago. Showed the bartender and they just offered him a new plate. Also Remember once the ONLY bartender was having a conversation with friends did not check up on us we only had 1 drink in the time span of 40 minutes and did not come back to help until we asked (and of course she gave us an attitude being interrupted from her social hour) Cherry on top was recently, the owner was not wearing a mask and got upset when asked why. He rudely told customers they could leave if they didn't like it & they all did!!! Find someplace else to go!! This place is in DIRE need of a makeover. Lets start with the bathrooms, last time I was there the handle was broke off the toilet so it couldent be flushed. Ceiling tiles missing, camouflage netting on the ceiling, VERY SLOW SERVICE. They try to cram bands into one of the corners so you have to walk through there set-up to get outside. No food available, and the decor is like an old rundown bar you would see up north. Seriously, watch just one episode of "Bar Rescue" and take some clues already!!
