I don't understand all of these great reviews about this place. I was about to buy a Subaru Outback from these guys, after hearing about how they had done the timing belt, brakes, exhaust work, etc. ALWAYS have another mechanic that you TRUST look at the car. This car COULD NOT EVEN pass inspection! He HAD NOT EVEN DONE THE TIMING BELT but had FAKE paperwork to say that he had... My mechanic caught it. Also, the brakes weren't "brand new" as I was told, it had SO MUCH RUST on the bottom that you could almost poke a hole through it. I don't get how any mechanic could be so dishonest. He refused to even consider looking at the head gasket of this car (these Subarus are known for head gasket trouble.) There was a laundry list of issues that this car had that this mechanic lied about. To make it worse, he was asking about $500 more than book value because the car looked okay. The only thing he didn't lie about was that it had new tires. This place a joke and I will send everyone as far away as possible. read more

We brought a Chrysler Pacifica from this place worse mistake ever at the time the owner was very nice helpful seen to be proud and when is pick up the car he said over and over again (any issues with the car please call me first) well we did they first thing he said well my not fixing anything for free the car has no warranty... I still wanted to take the car there to get fix after we tried calling him many he never responded or ever called back... We paid $4500 to him with is a lot off money for us and have to $2300 to a mechanic for a new motor because we can't afford to get another one We were extremely disappointed if you are proud of your business this is not how you treat people read more

When my car was unexpectedly taken out of commission (don't lend anything out you're not prepared to lose!), I needed to find a car quickly. Andy at Andy's Electric recommended I talk to Toros at J&T, because he's an honest used car dealer who stands behind his products. And I have certainly found that to be the case. It was a very low pressure sales environment; I told Toros what my price range was, and he pointed me to several cars, describing them thoroughly without being "salesy". I test drove several, and after each switch, he didn't do the unctuous salesperson thing of trying to convince me how great each car was. On my initial visit, I said I'd be back after I'd had an opportunity to think about it, and asked what the next steps were. He said he went through AAA for financing, so I felt I didn't have to worry about usurious interest rates. He said he recommends that buyers take the car to their own mechanic before purchasing, and he'd take the list and do what he could. Sure enough, when I decided which car I was interested in, it was no problem to take it to my own mechanic. In fact, I didn't even have to take it there myself - Toros drove it there and picked it up. He fixed everything on the list that my mechanic found (brakes and a leaky seal), and it didn't affect the price of the car at all. I had asked my mechanic to check the timing belt, and he discovered that it had probably never been changed. When I asked Toros about it, he said that since it was a routine maintenance issue, it wasn't the type of thing he normally would fix in a car sale, but he did change it at a very reduced price - $300 instead of the usual $600-$700. J&T also gets the car inspected for you before purchase, and handles the registry after the purchase. The prices are very reasonable; the Kelly Blue Book value on my car was $1500 more than the price J&T asked. Bonus! I've had the car for two months now with no issues. I also stopped by to pick up my registration after a week or so, and Toros mentioned a couple of times to stop by if I had any issues with the car. I am confident that he stands behind the cars he sells. All in all, a surprisingly great experience in buying a used car!! read more

Over the past 2 years, I've tried them a couple of times, so I feel it's safe to say- they don't answer or return your call. They don't reply when you do an inquiry about a car they have posted on line. I've even gone in person, during normal business hours, to find the office locked and unattended. Must be nice to be able to pick and choose your customers like that. They always have a large selection on the lot, so it's not like I have a fetish for some mom/pop that is barely getting by. What a hidden gem! Let me tell you, my Mom and I know nothing about cars... Nothing. So when I was on the search for my first car, I was a little nervous because I am a very indecisive person. However, the owner Toros was patient, friendly and extremely helpful. He explained so even I could understand - LOL. Like reviewer Lisa K. mentioned in her review, he wasn't "salesy". The place inside is very nice since he just recently moved - it is very spacious and accommodating.
