Took my car in to get a quote on what was wrong with it. Dropped it off at 8am and did not get a call until 7pm after I left several messages. The owner told me some BS about his workers were hungover and left. No one ever told me it was $94 just to look at it and they refused to work on it saying it was basically too hard and they did not have skilled labor to do it. Paul's charged us $200 to do a diagnostic on my son's car. We were trying to see if it should be fixed or time for a new one. He came back with$2300 of work that needed to be completed. He said when asked that it should last awhile because the engine is fine. We proceeded to "fix" the car. After about a week it started making noise when breaking. That was something that was "fixed". We took it back to Paul's and he said it was something small they missed in the initial process. A few days later I took the car to Walmart to get a new tire and oil change. The technician told me that the transmission was leaking oil. I called Paul's because they were supposed to "fix" an oil leak of some kind. I scheduled an appointment for the third time. After dropping it off Paul called with news. He said yes the transmission is leaking oil. He proceeded to say that there was no way anyone could know that. I asked him what can be done. He does not fix transmissions. He also said if he knew the transmission was leaking oil he would not have recommended the car to get fixed. The Walmart technician did not seem to to have any problems locating the oil leak. I also did not pay him a diagnostic fee and ask him specifically if we should fix the car or get a new one. Now we have a car that has $2500 worth of work done and leaks oil from the transmission. Paul is taking no responsibility for his part in this. Why should you when you were already paid $2500. I guess if that's the kind of business you want to run. read more

Paul's service and personable manner and care is exemplary! I really appreciate this small business and trust their expertise in caring for my car for a reasonable price. Paul is so nice and really knows what he is talking about! They finished about four different things on my car all in one day, and were very communicative over the phone for the other things that came up. Getting into the parking lot is only possible while coming northbound on Metcalf Avenue, but there are plenty of side streets to make that possible around. Would highly recommend to any of my friends, and the convenient location to my work makes it super easy for me to drop my car off when I need to! read more

I took my wife's Infinity here for the 100k mile maintenance. Radiator flush, transmission oil change, he also said according to the car's manufacturer specs the spark plugs and differential fluid needs changing at 100k. Paul really knows his automobiles because I also told him about a small oil leak, He said it was the valve cover on the passenger side and it's a common problem with these cars and explained everything! He gave me a price on everything I wanted done and it seemed fair so I agreed to the work. I drove the car around when I got it back and it drives so nice, I couldn't be happier with these guys.. First off, Paul seems like a nice guy. Thoroughly explained issue and corrective measures. The problem exists in the price he charges customers for parts. My vehicle needed extensive suspension work. It needed 2 suspension control arms, Paul"s price $996.59 each, for the parts alone. I went on line found them for $511.33 each.Sway bar kit (2), Paul changed me 82.98 a piece. Found them online, $20-$40 apiece. These sights were authorized parts, not junk. Paul defended his prices by claiming he didn't trust online parts and he needs to keep local economy running, not on my dime, thousands and thousands of dimes. contact the owner before i had my vehicle towed there. explained i replaced the starter and had electrical short of some kind! called later in the day and his mechanic talked to me.he put up all these brick walls on we don't install other peoples parts. told him i already explained this to the owner. and he started working on another vehicle. i understand i had other issues with my work van.this mechanic was almost rude to me.after several phone calls over 2 days got a call saying van was done and fixed.paid a large amount off money 350 to get it fixed. after my first stop off his lot van wouldn't start.still had same original problem.i was very upset.owner was very dispectful to me issues,even marked up the towing charges so he could put $35 in his pocket. a very lousy experience and terrible customer service!!!!!!!!!! read more

I went to Firestone and got a bid, they recommended a bunch of work, which included replacing a tire that turned out to be the best tire I had on the car, about a year old at the time. I happened upon this place on my way home. I'm glad I did, Paul the owner was upfront, honest and told me what needed to be done. He did the work for a little less, which isn't the point, he was just awesome to deal with. I've since taken my car in to have a mirror replaced, dealer bid was 556. He did it for 456.00 and even used a genuine Ford mirror. Ive found a mechanic who is honest, friendly and competent. A trifecta of good traits I think. read more

Paul auto care went above and beyond to help me in a last minute pinch: I took my husbands car for a spin, hit the trashcan and broke the side mirror. Paul went into great detail to explain what was wrong with my car and even showed me the parts to explain what had happened. He even repaired some other problems without charging me. I am so happy I found this place. After almost two years of on-going issues with my car smoking when running the AC- Paul was able to figure it out in 4 hours. This is after 4 or more trips to the dealership where they never figured it out. I've been able to use my heating and cooling system with no worries for the first time in years! Went to Paul's last week to service my VW. Left it there for an oil change and spark plug change. I also wanted transmission fluid change but they stated they can't do that. Car stayed overnight because for some reason they didn't have enough time to do the work ... I had to call them to ask what is going on (because they promised to call me to let me know)... After I went and picked my car up I got charged $318 for the service... I researched the price and got quoted $215 for the SAME work! A day after I picked my car up we noticed a HUGE leak under the car on our driveway. We took the car back, wasted time on Friday evening (right before supposed to host people - which I was late for because of all the hassle). Next day I go and pick up my car and ask how will I be reimbursed for all the inconvenience caused - all Paul said is - I'll give you FREE popcorn and that's it. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone due to prices and lack of good service. Also not sure they really know how to respect their customers and acknowledge their mistakes. read more
