She was so good at this that I didn't feel that much pain around the mound which I was worried about. I forgot her name (im so sorry!! I was such in a haze) but I see her again in 6 weeks so I'm stoked. The place was clean, very aesthetic and pretty. Definitely worth a try! I didn't try this place originally bc it's off a main street in La Mesa and I always end up going there around busy times, but this time I timed it, so I was able to find parking right out front. The lounge is always clean, the customer service is wonderful, and everyone here genuinely knows what they're doing. Tara is usually the one who does my waxes, and she is amazing! I've also had appointments with the other employees, and they've all been so kind, professional, and great at what they do. It's clear that the whole team takes pride in their work and cares about their clients. One thing to keep in mind is that parking is street meter parking, and it can sometimes be difficult to find a spot, so I'd recommend giving yourself a little extra time when scheduling your appointment. Overall, I'm so happy I found this place and will definitely continue coming back!

Yes, ClassPass credits are typically non-transferable--but this was an obvious situation where a little basic human judgment should have applied. My wife showed up, explained everything, and was turned away--despite the appointment being on their books. They refused the service and still kept the credits. No service rendered, no flexibility offered, no attempt to do the right thing. That tells me everything I need to know. This is a business that values squeezing $80 out of a customer over showing even minimal decency. Short-sighted, tone-deaf, and not the kind of people I'll ever do business with again. Enjoy the $80. Karma has a way of keeping score. Follow-Up: I received a response from the owner attempting to justify what happened, but it completely missed the facts. This wasn't a case of someone trying to misuse credentials in a typical sense--it was a one-on-one appointment that was already booked, paid for with credits, and ultimately went unused. My wife showed up, explained the situation clearly, and was still turned away. No service was provided, yet the credits were kept. Comparing this to standard "no sharing accounts" policies is a weak and inaccurate analogy. This situation called for basic judgment and a small amount of flexibility--neither of which was shown. The owner's response only reinforces my original impression: this business is more focused on rigid policies and protecting a minor dollar amount than on treating people reasonably, even under exceptional circumstances. That tells me everything I need to know

I've tried ones by Pacifica, blue lizard, and sun bum's zinc and clear zinc-all of which left me pretty used to just living with white streaks (I have fair-medium Asian skin that's runs dry with some oily spots in the summer for anyone who wants to try it) but her formulation is an absolute god send. I have to say, I'm fully convinced this is my new forever sun screen.

Ok let me start off by saying I don't usually leave negative reviews unless I truly feel the service is HORRIBLE and I want to warn others.....So I was originally going to my regular eyebrow lady in la Mesa unfortunately I forgot my wallet at home once I arrived so I had to go back home (in lemon grove) and it was just so hott and I didn't want to be driving in the heat I decided to just go to Vivian since it was more convenient since her shop is down the street from me ... Biggest mistake ever !! I get there and she doesn't even acknowledge me no hi how are you not even a damn hello I go in to the wax room and she goes in behind me I notice she was eating before and doesn't wash her hands !!! So disgusting and unsanitary I still don't get a word out of her still no simple hello she then answers a call and is on her cellphone the entire time I'm thinking to my self oh god I hope she doesn't mess up my eyebrows since her focus is all in her cellphone conversation then she coughs right in my face doesn't even cover her mouth coughs right one me I'm over here hoping she doesn't have Ebola or any nasty virus ) she also is so focused on her conversation she is applying so much pressure on my cheek she ends up smearing all of my foundation since she wasn't even paying attention ugh finally the eyebrow waxing from hell is done and take in mind she never got off the phone and used 1 hand the entire time .... I then go to check out (this is the cherry to my horrible expire nice ) and the girl upfront say she has to charge me 10$ instead of 7 the original eyebrow price because there machine is only is 10$ and up wow I just paid the 10 dollars to get out of there nobody said bye have a nice day or thank you . For Vivian being the owner it's just horrible the lack of customer service she has. moral of the story is do not come here unless you don't care about the business your giving them is being UNappreciated and if you don't mind being coughed on and not being acknowledged AT ALL save your money and go somewhere much more sanitary and professional . As for Vivian I hope you take some customer service classes to help your business stay in business ! read more

This is my third failed attempt after trying to give them a chance, because I really wanted a new nail home that can do designs and cute styles for my daughter and i. My nails never come out like I ask but today I had to leave a review. my nails are horrible to say the least. I never got to wash my hands, I have multiple cuts, polish still on my skin, nail lengths are different and my powder is not the color requested. My gel x on my toe was broken by the tech and I was charged for someone fixing it so they look different and I had dried tissue in between my toes & no oil. pics below. I was still charged 86 dollars I will never return. read more

So yesterday I went in me my daughter we got our nails done and a pedicure my total was 164 dollars !!! I was mind blown and my design wasn't what I wanted , but I just didn't say anything but when I got home i looked at my nails and it's slanted! For the experience and expensive price I feel like they should give you what asked for , I do feel like they judge you and charge different prices to different people because I have had a different price almost every time I go .. THIS IS BY FAR THE best Nail/Spa shop in San Diego, that I have been too. Affordable, Fast service , and excellent work. I have zero complaints. I drive from Bonita every two weeks for my nails to get done. It is a MUST! This new shop is clean and has a very classy/spa feel to it . J&V nail design is awsome the place is really clean and the music is great i usually go in and get a white pearl tip manicure V or J usually does it but if someone else had to do it I wouldnt have a problem with that they all seem to do an outstanding job.Waxing services are also really good there I always get compliments on my eyebrows. Haven't had my nails done professionally in a couple of years. Today I went in and got a gel polish manicure done on my natural nails. They are professional and keep a nice clean shop.
