I then took it back to him with the print out from the dealer telling him what was wrong and gave him another chance to fix the issue. He said ok and again when he told me it was fixed i picked up the car and just like previously the same issue same warning lights still illuminated. By now I had lost faith in him as a mechanic and was done with him. Never did he say ok I can't figure it out here is your money back or anything. Then come to find out while he had my vehicle (he mad for almost a year on and off) he got tickets on the vehicle granted I forgot to add my new registration sticker but he could have at least told me hey u got tickets on the car. By the time I picked up the car it had just one ticket on it which I paid but apparently their must have been two tickets. I would never take my car back to Randall and New Age. Oh and the issue to my car seems to be the issue I asked him about that he told me wasn't the cause of the problems. Update I tried to have an arbitration through the state (it's not mandatory a business participate) but he never responded to the states request both by phone and mail. So after three attempts my car was never fixed and I was out of about 3000.00 in labor cost and parts not including tickets my car received while in his possession. Like others said he will disappear for long stretches not be in his shop or reachable. So beware if you take your car for anything but regular maintenance.

I am always surprised by the number of new model and high priced luxury cars that are brought into the shop. When I bought my new used car a few years ago I brought it in for the once over and would only finalize the purchase after this shop said it looked good. Over 200k miles later, outside of minor things, I have only needed brakes and a starter over the years. More than a decade ago I had an estimate given for a repair from another shop for a drivetrain differential issue (big trouble and huge dollars). I was told by AAMCO that the issue required an entire new differential system ($2500)!! On a recommendation from a friend, I took the car to Hi Tech and the owner, Mr. Long Ho, after assessing the issue realized all that was needed was a shift solenoid which cost only $50.....installed!!! From that day on Long Ho is the only person to work on my vehicle. He does it all, even auto electric. He even allows you to bring in parts that you buy online or from an auto parts store like Advance Auto or Pep Boys. Because I like high performance ceramic brake pads and drilled rotors, I bring in my own brake components and he installs them no issue for the same fixed price. The shop is all by itself on the outskirts of what was once the glorious Landover Mall. The Mall was demolished about 10 years ago but Long Ho and his shop in the parking lot remained. It is on an island all by itself, but still thriving because he is honest and low priced. It is hard scrabble but do not let the looks deceive you. It you want the glitz and free coffee from dealerships, this is not the place for you. If you want an honest estimate of your car's issue at a low price, done in an efficient amount of time....this is the place. The waiting room is sparse and the restroom is super basic so plan on dropping off and not waiting there unless it is something minor that will take an hour or two. The words "honest mechanic" and "low price auto repair" are the most important words here. Disregard the hard scrabble, Spartan surroundings. Trust Long Ho, he and his crew are fair and honest and those words are worthy of five stars.

I've been taking my vehicles (BMW X5 and Mercedes E350) to Beamer Auto since 2022. Up until recently, they consistently provided good service at a fair price. Unfortunately, my last two experiences have completely changed my opinion. About 8 months ago, I brought in my X5. Communication was poor--I had to call several times just to get updates and an estimate. Since I trusted them from prior service, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and chalked it up to a bad day. This last visit today, with my E350, however, was unacceptable. I emailed in advance detailing the issues and received a confirmation for a 10 AM appointment on Thursday, September 18. When I arrived, the front desk person (Aaron) asked me to repeat everything instead of checking the email. I explained two issues: 1. The driver seat not returning fully upright (a sensor recalibration Beamer had fixed for me two years ago). 2. The passenger side headlight was flickering and going out intermittently. I was told I'd get a call with an estimate. Hours passed with no update. I called around 3:30 PM, no answer, and their voicemail was full. Eventually, they called me back but admitted they hadn't even looked at my car yet. Approx 4:30, I called again, because they close at 5:30. This time, Aaron said they wouldn't get to it that day but promised it would be checked first thing in the morning. The next day, still no call all morning. Frustrated, I drove 40 minutes back to the shop around 1 PM to pick up my vehicle. My car was sitting exactly where I left it. After waiting while Aaron looked at the computer and asking me the same question again about my car, I was told they couldn't fix the seat issue and that I'd need to go to the dealer (even though they had repaired the exact same problem less than two years ago). Then he incorrectly stated it was my driver-side headlight that was bad, when in fact it was the passenger side--the issue I had clearly outlined multiple times. Despite their lack of communication, inaccurate assessment, and the fact that my car hadn't moved, I was charged $158.75 for a diagnostic check. Based on my experience, I don't believe they even looked at the vehicle. After three years as a loyal customer, Beamer Auto has lost my trust and my business. If you're considering them, proceed with caution--buyer beware.

When I get there Steven tells me they still don't know why the car is misfiring or the check engine light is blinking. I had my car TOWED in at 163,538 miles(as pictured in video), when I got the car back 12/18 it was 163,615(as pictured) with NO GAS IN THE CAR & that is 77 MILES OVER. I understand that a mechanic had to drive the car around to figure out what's going on but 77 MILES IS COMPLETELY INSANE & UNACCEPTABLE!!! At this point I'm starting to think these are a bunch of basement mechanics they are only good for oil changes, brakes & rotors (the basic stuff) that's just driving people vehicles around & not really fixing anything.
