Dear Dr. Newman, Claudia, and the Entire Team,…read more I wanted to write and express how truly grateful I am for the wonderful care I received throughout my tummy tuck journey. Making the decision to have surgery is a very personal one, and naturally, I felt a mix of excitement and nervousness. From the moment I walked into your office, however, I knew I was in the right hands. Every interaction was met with kindness, encouragement, and genuine care. To Claudia and the staff, I thank you for your friendly smiles, professionalism, and the way you consistently went above and beyond. It is rare to find a team that works together so seamlessly while making every patient feel important and valued. Dr. Newman, I cannot thank you enough. Your kindness and compassion are truly remarkable. In a world where medical care can sometimes feel rushed, you took the time to listen, answer questions, and make me feel completely at ease. Your caring bedside manner is something I will never forget. I always felt that you genuinely cared about me as a person, not just as a patient. Not only am I thrilled with my results, but I am equally grateful for the experience itself. The confidence I have gained is a gift, but what stands out most is the way I was treated every step of the way--with dignity, warmth, respect, and genuine compassion. Thank you all for the incredible work you do and for creating an environment where patients feel supported, cared for, and encouraged. I feel blessed to have found your practice and will always be grateful for the kindness and expertise you showed me. With heartfelt appreciation, Suzy Moore

My mom was understandably scared and emotional, but Dr. Jewell made her feel safe, respected, informed, and cared for every step of the way. Their professionalism and confidence gave our entire family peace of mind, and the results of the surgery exceeded our expectations. The staff truly goes above and beyond. What stood out most was the kindness and empathy shown throughout the entire process. Dr. Jewell never made my mom feel like "just another patient." They treated her with dignity, warmth, and incredible attention to detail. That level of care means everything when someone is facing breast cancer and such a life-changing surgery. We are forever grateful for the strength, comfort, and outstanding medical care Dr. Jewell provided. I would recommend them to anyone looking for not only an incredibly talented plastic surgeon, but also a doctor with a truly compassionate heart.

I had a terrible experience with a previous surgeon, being a breast cancer survivor, it was pretty traumatizing. Naturally I was very nervous about getting the result I was looking for (this second go around), however it didn't take long for him and his staff, to have me feeling at ease. Dr. Newmans staff is top notch, so professional and beyond kind, from the ladies that called for appointment reminders, to the front desk staff, to the lady that was in the room with me and Dr. Newman during my consult. Dr. Newman, himself, is very soft spoken, kind and has such a good energy about him. He took his time and listened to exactly what I wanted to achieve. He asked me numerous questions and discussed in great detail what he would do to help me achieve the results I was looking for. The surgical center staff did not disappoint either. Summer was my nurse and she was absolutely amazing! So sweet, kept me very comfortable and warm while I waited for Dr. Newman. She was so good, I didn't even feel her put the IV in my arm (which is hard to find with my small veins). Dr. Patel was my Anesthesiologist (she's amazing). She called me a few days prior to my surgery and talked to me for about 30 minutes, going over everything she would do, the day of surgery, and really took her time discussing things I could do to ensure a Speedy recovery. On the day of my surgery She made me feel so comfortable and at ease! When I got home from surgery and was able to take my bra off and see my results, I cried happy tears. They look better than I had imagined. He gave me the lift I was looking for, without looking fake. Everything about them is perfect and symmetrical (which can be tricky, since I had a previous lumpectomy). Not only did I look amazing, I had the speediest recovery ever. I had very minimal swelling, no drains, only had to take 1 pain pill the night of the surgery and one the next night. I took Advil for 2 days and that was it. He is an absolute master of his craft and I will be referring any and everyone that Is looking for a plastic surgeon. Dr. Newman is the best!!!!

Well, that time inevitably arrived and I found that it was only my face and neck that bothered me. I began the search to find the right surgeon for the work, and shelled out quite a bit of money in consultation fees with highly rated local surgeons. What ended up mattering was the "vibe" of the office, the time the surgeon spent on the consultation, and the quality of his assessment of my face and neck. My goal was to look like like a less wrinkled version of myself. I did not want to look "done." All my questions were answered and all my concerns addressed by Dr. Newman. I also loved the consistently positive nursing and office staff. I don't remember the day of the surgery with any accuracy, but I will say that the anesthesiologist Dr. Patel was incredibly kind and forthcoming. She made sure that I knew exactly what to expect. I'm very happy that I chose Dr, Michael Newman for this work. I'm nearly two months out from my neck and jawline surgery and I am so pleased. I also had an Erbium laser treatment (since I'd already be under anesthesia), so the recovery was a little tough on my thin skin. During this time, Dr. Newman and his staff basically babied me (because I AM a baby about this stuff) and he answered every anxious question with a zen-like calm. Every time I left the office, I felt a thousand times better. Dr. Newman's skillful talent is evident in my natural result, and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

His physicians assistant - I won't name names right now - - was absolutely utterly amazing and had the most generous, caring, empathetic, and knowledgeable way about her. She was truly remarkable. She was an angel and one with great experience. Dr Granzow, on the other hand, it was impossible to get a hold of - - I met with him once after waiting nearly 6 months - ludicrous - my husband and I had to trudge across country to Florida, where he lived (for tax reasons!!! Meaning paying little to none), and we went to an office which barely had two chairs in it and had not even been set up yet. He's known in the industry for advertising his way up to the top of every list And as " nice" as he seemed to be, the Insurance situation was out of control and he not take my amazing insurances - - we'll get into that at some other time - - it took forever and ever and ever to try to figure out a way to get the surgery done. I was flipped out from my arm blowing up after living for 12 years with a perfectly normal one. And whereas this is not his fault at all, and I would never say such a thing, his office made it so difficult to get help that I just was freaked out every single week. The trip to Florida was completely insane and cost us close to $10,000 when it was all said and done, and when we saw his office, which was underneath the bridge and in a dump of a neighborhood on the edge of the border of Florida and points north, (I could almost put 1 foot in Florida and 1 foot in another state) so he could to do his taxes properly, again, I was horrified. Again - - the actual PT treatment for my arm by his nurse practitioner was magic. Everything else about the process was horrifying. I went to Stanford in NoCal and I ended up at Cedars and I'm still going through it right now. If you'd like to get in touch with me, let me know here and I'll reach out to you. Hope this was helpful.

Thank you from my heart and soul: Dr Granzow, Julie Soderberg, Thao, Mariela, Kat, Yvette, Amy for all your hard work, professionalism, skills, passion for what you do, and compassion! I am one week post-op after SAPL surgery for my right leg and hip. Amazing results: the right leg is the size of the left one. For many people it is a given to have approximately the same size legs. For me for the last four years my right leg was twice as big as my left one. Not enough words to describe my experience, but I will try. I had endometrial cancer in 2009, total hysterectomy, 22 lymph nodes were removed. In 2010 had the first episode of swelling in my right leg. The swelling went down within a week. For the next five years I had swelling once in a while, but it subsided within a week or so. Unfortunately, I was not diagnosed till 2015, when swelling became persistent and I had the first bout of cellulitis. After 11 bouts of cellulitis, and 3 hospitalizations with blood sepsis, I was diagnosed with lymphedema stage 2+ in my right leg, and recommended to consider SAPL surgery that not only would decrease the volume of the leg, but also reduce the risk of recurrent cellulitis. I followed all conservative therapy methods since 2016: compression, MLD, bandaging. But none of these helped, because by that time I had a non-pitting stage of lymphedema. The quality of everyday life became lower and lower: losing mobility (difficult to walk, almost impossible to go up/down the stairs), recurrent cellulitis infections (11 bouts since 2015), constant fear of injury (insect bites, pet scratches, cuts/burns, etc.), fear of normal activities (walking, driving, cooking, swimming, traveling, etc.). And many more aspects like damaged self esteem, trying to find shoes that fit, avoiding social activities, etc. And then I found Dr Granzow and his team! And had SAPL surgery one week ago. I am on my recovery journey, and Dr Granzow's team is with me every step of the way! My special thanks to Julie Soderberg for taking care of me and my leg! Julie is an amazing Lymphedema physical therapist with a golden heart and incredible skills! Oh, and I forgot to mention that the whole process was well organized and personable: from the first call I made to schedule a consultation appointment, to information for logistics of being an out-of-town patient, to getting the insurance authorization by very effective appeal actions, to the surgery and hospital stay, to recovery! Ten thousand stars to Dr Granzow and his team!

I completely understand that time had been set aside for me as a potential new patient, however the lack of customer service is unfortunate.

Something came up the next day and it wouldn't have been worth injecting a zit days later. So I called to cancel and am then told they couldn't refund me. I can still come in and get the service done any time, but since it was for a one time acne lesion, I won't really be needing it. Plus I work at a nearby med spa and was only in the area. It would have been nice if someone told me upfront that if I cancelled, my money would be kept. Especially because I understand that being the case for the deposit, but I was encouraged to pay the full amount and all of it was kept. Of course I couldn't dispute the charge because it's in their fine print... A little upfront honesty and clarity would have gone a long way though.

We had a particularly unique and difficult situation when our 35-year-old son with special needs had a traumatic fall and broke his nose in two places in October 2024. His nose was visibly smashed and his breathing was badly impacted. He ultimately needed a rhinoplasty and septoplasty. After an initial consultation with another ENT left him frightened and unwilling to consider surgery, we spent nearly a year searching for a surgeon with both exceptional skill and genuine compassion. Dr. Leslie Irvine lived up to our expectations in every way! Dr. Irvine put our son so much at ease that he requested the surgery himself. He went into the hospital in an amazingly optimistic frame of mind, even during pre-op. His recovery was easier than expected, though understandably uncomfortable until the stents were removed a week later. His surgery was in October 2025, but I waited four months to write this review so we could see the results after most of the swelling resolved. We are amazed with the results! His nose looks fantastic, his breathing is greatly improved and this procedure has helped him regain his confidence. We were so impressed with Dr. Irvine's skill that six weeks ago I underwent an in-office procedure with her called VivAer to improve my own breathing. It took only about 20 minutes, strengthened my nasal walls, reduced my turbinates, and required no downtime at all. My breathing is dramatically better, I'm sleeping more soundly and exercising feels easier. We feel extremely fortunate to have found Dr. Irvine and could not recommend her more highly. If you're on the fence about fixing your nose... just call Dr. Irvine.

I'm officially one year post-op after having a tummy tuck with muscle repair, abdominal…read moreliposuction, chin liposuction, breast reduction, and breast lift with Dr. Kalaria. Overall, I'm okay with my results. I certainly wasn't expecting perfection and understand that no surgical result will be perfect. I'm sharing these details simply to be transparent about my experience and results: my areolas are not aligned or the same size (I also had an issue with tape being left on too long and damaging my skin), one breast is larger than the other, and the fat along the side of my breasts/underarm area was not treated. My biggest advice if you choose this practice: GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING and be very specific about exactly what areas are being treated. During my consultation, Dr. Kalaria and I discussed the fat along the sides of my breasts. She physically pointed to/touched the area while discussing what would be addressed. As a patient with no plastic surgery expertise, I didn't know this was technically considered a separate area from the breast that needed to be separately identified and priced. I had a similar issue with the abdominal liposuction. It was not made clear to me that only a specific portion of my abdomen would be liposuctioned. I understood I was having abdominal liposuction with my tummy tuck and didn't realize other areas of my abdomen were excluded. These distinctions may be obvious to a plastic surgeon, but they aren't necessarily obvious to a patient. I was very upfront that I was relying on the professionals to educate and guide me rather than trying to become an expert in plastic surgery myself. I'm a lawyer, and just as my clients rely on me to explain things they wouldn't necessarily know to ask about, I relied on my surgeon to do the same. Unfortunately, my quote was fairly high-level. Even the muscle repair we had discussed wasn't specifically listed, so I asked and was told it was included. I therefore assumed the side breast/underarm area we discussed was similarly part of my breast work and didn't understand that "abdominal liposuction" referred only to a limited area. Had these distinctions been clearly explained, I could have made an informed decision about adding and paying for the additional areas. Cost was never the issue. Even assuming, for the sake of argument, that the side breast/underarm area had not been specifically discussed, I believe it should have been brought to my attention. It is immediately adjacent to the breast area we were addressing and was something I would have wanted treated. I relied on my surgeon not only to answer questions I knew to ask, but also to flag relevant considerations I might not know enough to ask about. Had I been told, "That area is separate and requires additional liposuction," I would have made clear that I wanted it included. What bothered me most was how the issue was handled afterward. When I asked about the area post-op, I was told it was considered the underarm, not the breast. I later emailed after reviewing my notes, and the response was essentially that we had never discussed the area and I hadn't paid for it. Again, the money wasn't the issue. My concern was being told the conversation hadn't happened when my notes reflected that it had. Even if the office had no record of the discussion, I would have appreciated something as simple as, "We don't have this documented, but we're sorry there was a misunderstanding." Instead, I felt my recollection was being dismissed, which ultimately damaged my trust in the practice. I also found that some questions toward the end of the process or after surgery were met with responses along the lines of, "We're not at that point yet; I'll explain it later." As a patient, I don't know what I don't know. If I'm asking a question about my surgery, recovery, or results, I want it explained, even if it won't become relevant until later. To be fair, there were things I genuinely liked about Dr. Kalaria. I wasn't looking for the cheapest surgeon; I wanted someone knowledgeable, trustworthy, and safety-conscious. One reason I chose her was because she would NOT perform back liposuction at the same time as my other procedures because she felt the surgery would be too long and unsafe. I respected that tremendously and it gave me confidence in her judgment. Ultimately, my experience reinforced the importance of doing your own research and documenting EVERYTHING you discuss. Don't assume that because an area was discussed or a procedure is described generally that you know exactly what will be treated. Ask specifically what areas are included and excluded, and confirm important discussions in writing. I had actually planned to return to Dr. Kalaria for additional work. Unfortunately, based on my overall experience, particularly how my concerns were handled afterward, I no longer feel comfortable doing so.
