Great food and service didn't have to wait they was checking on us often to make sure we didn't need anything

My favorite place to eat on earth! I had two lbs of steamed shrimp and a half lb of sausage. My wife had the Friday Special. The food always tastes fresh and is cooked to perfection. The seasoning is just right ( you can order it how you want it), and the service is excellent. The prices are a little high, but reasonable because the food is worth it. We love this spot. We've never dined in, but we have frequently ordered takeout/delivery in the few years we have lived here. We are loyal to the seafood boil! We usually go for a mild cajun butter blend of crab legs, head-on shrimp, corn, and potatoes. So delicious and so many options. We've also tried the crawfish, not our favorite but wasn't bad (we just really like crab lol). Definitely a must try spot! read more

The online ordering experience was great, we ordered takeout. We picked up our food about 20 minutes later and it was ready. I had the fried tilapia basket with hush puppies. I also got a side of rice and Mac and cheese. Hubby got the Thursday steamer special and we also get a create your own bag with shrimp and clams. The only thing I would recommend is that they detail somewhere on the menu that you get corn and potatoes in every bag. I didn't know this so I ended up buying extra for hubby's steamer and we ended up with a lot of food. read more

Started off on the wrong foot with this one. The "greater" ignored us and then just looked up and said "15 mins." Wasn't a pleasant person at all. But, our server Ryan was AMAZING and saved the experience. As for the food, it was ok at best. If you are craving seafood, it is pretty good. read more

We came around dinner and got seated right away. It was pretty packed, but I felt they had good tech time. I tried their garlic bread, which was pretty much Texas toast. I also tried their lightly steamed oysters. I thought it was steamed perfectly. It wasn't overcooked. I created my own bag. I got the Dungeness crab, crawfish, and clams. I tried it in their juicy special sauce on medium spice level. I think the medium spice level was perfect for me because I have a low tolerance for spice. Have been here a handful of times as a couple and as a large 15+ party. Each experience has been great. Not only is the crab options on the menu fire, it's always crisp and fresh, but that's not what gets us to come back. It's the exceptional service we receive. Had a late lunch here a couple of days ago. Was a little concerned because at 2 pm there were no other customers. The interior looked a little rough around the edges, but the service was fast and friendly. I had the shrimp basket with onion rings and coleslaw. The shrimp was flavorful and both the shrimp and rings were perfectly fried. Both were lightly breaded. The onion rings were some of the best I've ever had. So 4 stars from me. My husband had a steamed bag of king crab with corn and a potato. There was abundant food, but the corn was a little tired and he said the crab had very little flavor on its own without the sauce. He'd give the place 3 stars for his lunch. Another case where I wish we could give half stars, as this place would be 3.5. Because my meal was very good and we were there at an odd hour, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and four stars. read more

My family and I would frequent this restaurant because it's one of the only decent places in the Destin/Ft. Walton Beach area. The restaurant is a little bit on the louder side, which makes it great for kids. The steamer bags are large and reasonably priced given that they contain seafood. The several times I've eaten there, the staff was always friendly and attentive. Apparently, they let customers order any daily specials regardless of the day, so that's nice, like if you wanted the Friday special, but it was Tuesday, they allow that. I would usually get the garlic butter shrimp with sausage, potatoes and corn. You can also choose the spiciness level. Their chicken wings are also shockingly good, and my daughter would usually crush them, which is impressive because she's picky. read more

I've been at J C Seafood House multiple times. I usually order it to-go, but dined-in twice. The food is good, and their specials/combo bags are good. HOWEVER, I've had some horrible customer service issues here. If you online order for pick up that's like a few hours later..... they will most likely forget about it and make you wait an extra hour just to pick it up. I had an experience where I ordered at 4:30 to pick up at 7:00pm. Again, that's a busy time, so I get it. I got there late due to work, and it was 7:30. I paid and then they told me that they actually need to make it and it will take 5 minutes. It actually took them OVER AN HOUR! I picked it up and left at 8:30. While I was waiting,. They kept telling me "5 more minutes" multiple times after I asked and refused to give me a refund. They refused twice. They SHOULD have told me honestly that they lost my ticket and I would need to wait before I paid. They admired that to me as I was leaving... And honestly it was the worst customer service lol. read more

I decided to eat at J. C. Seafood House while working in the Fort Walton/Destin area. I previously ate here when it was Juicy Crab. Nothing has changed....same lay out and decor, just a name change. And for that, I am thankful. I ordered a pound of Dungeness Crab and a pound of Lobster tails. I ordered them With all of the flavors combined at a medium temp. Good call. The crab was utterly delicious and the lobster was so tender and juicy....these guys really know how to steam seafood!!! Kudos to J.C. For offering up suck delicious seafood. I will be back! Husband and I ate there Tuesday night around 7 p.m. We shared a dozen raw oysters, I had the fried oyster basket, and I believe my husband had the tilapia basket with a side of shrimp. Family was starving before a wedding and was craving seafood. Found this seafood boil that was right up the street from out Airbnb. It was quite and empty so we were seated quickly. Most crab boils are the same when it comes to price and selection. I like that they had a nice lunch menu with most combos being around $15. They even had burgers for the non seafood eaters. I found that their shrimp was smaller than other crab boils I've been too but the taste in the sauce pretty much tasted the same. Other family members love spicy food and they chose the highest level spice but they claimed it wasn't spicy at all. Good value, fast service, and fulfilled our cravings but its not one of those overly popular seafood boil resturants we were used to. read more

I've had many seafood boils at various restaurants like this, and I will say that this place was slightly above average. For those Californians who are privy to the Boiling Crab, where they seemingly put crack in their sauce to make you want more merely seconds after you've overeaten 3lbs of shrimp, this place does not compare in the slightest. But compared to similar joints such as Hook & Reel for my South Carolinians, the flavor surpasses most wannabe restaurants and your stomach doesn't feel weighed down by the lbs and lbs of butter that normally accompanies this meal. The sweet potato fries and pickle fries were good too! The steamed rice is also perfect, which doesn't seem like much to most, but IYKYK-- some places epically and disgracefully ruin steamed rice. I don't think I'll come back here, not because I didn't care for it, but mainly because I'm cheap and I'd rather spend money elsewhere. My favorite place to have crab boil, I crave it every couple weeks and always come back. Food is amazing, servers are prompt, and food comes out quickly! They're really on top of it here.
