I had an issue with my braces occasionally coming loose from the brackets, and unlike anyone else, Alexa took the extra time to carefully evaluate the problem, make the necessary adjustments, and ensure everything was secure before I left the office. I was able to get an appointment in less than one week, valet parking is free and relatively easy compared to other places in Miami, and the waiting room was very efficient. All the staff members I encountered were extremely pleasant. The only reason I give four stars was that there was a little bit of a mix up with what I actually needed since I do not need new orthodontic treatment. That said, Dr. deRoode took a look anyway and did not force any unnecessary treatment / costs on me. In fact she was sorry for the mix-up and did not charge me for the consultation. I will definitely be back when I do need treatment because of how knowledgable, humble, and pleasant Dr. deRoode and her staff were.

I came to this orthodontist with very minimal concerns (see attached photo) during a difficult time in my life. You'd hope a doctor would have the discernment and integrity to say, "You don't need treatment." Instead, he put me into his version of Invisalign and completely changed my previously perfect smile. Over the next 1.5 years, I emailed him multiple times letting him know my teeth were shifting in ways I hated, flaring out, misaligned, and not resembling the smile I walked in with. His response every time was to shave between my teeth and assure me it would "get better." It never did. My face shape even changed because of how my teeth were moved.
