They offered complimentary amenities! Not basic stuff either First time I've ever had this level of service at a dentist, or any doctor. Erys was my hygienist. He was kind and explained everything to me. You can watch Netflix, Hulu, etc while waiting. You have your own dedicated TV. Dr. Villena saw me and put together a good plan for needed dental work. They have special technology to visualize bacteria attacking the teeth; the tech shows tooth health at each layer. Deering Dental is superior to a typical dental office. Very impressed. Flexible pricing with a discount for paying up front, in full. At the end, they gave me a welcome package. Including great dental products and my choice of a gift card The package is easily worth $50+. They offer this to their new customers. I was supposed to be seen in July. I needed to expedite my dental plan due to a filling from a (good) prior dentist coming out recently. I came in on June 9th for an evaluation. Velma--another hygienist--was thorough and nice. She and Dr. Pinto explained the urgency of my situation. They gave me specialized products to get my oral health back on track. Today, Dr. Pinto and Velma saved my wisdom tooth. The girls were very nice although a little messy in the sense that I had water splashing every which way while the dentist was doing my cleaning. But I didn't mind as I felt that they didn't try to push products or unnecessary procedures on me. Yes, unfortunately, when going through insurance that has been my horrible experiences in the past. My Dad went in 2 weeks ago and he quoted him $15000.00 worth of dental work that he claimed was necessary. When my Dad told him directly that he didn't have that kind of money, he persuaded him to apply for Care Credit. My Dad is very conscious of his credit, but he signed the form to apply for the credit, feeling he had no other option, and was in a lot of pain! Subsequently, he went to another dentist for a second opinion and ended up getting the work done for much less - an affordable, reasonable amount. Within 48 hours, he went to Dr. Otero and informed him that he no longer required his service - he did this in writing as well. Fast forward 2 weeks, and my Dad receives a bill from Care Credit informing him that his payment is due in July - for 488.00! We immediately call Care Credit and they close the account and tell us to call the Dentist, as they have already received the funds (15K). We have been given the run around from Dr. Otero and his staff, as they claim that Care Credit has to send them paperwork, and 3 different representatives from Care Credit have told us that there's nothing to be done on their end. Dr. Otero's office has to issue the refund, in order to clear this account of its balance. Meanwhile, my Dad is a wreck worried about the credit that he guards with his life!

The waiting room was exceptionally clean. Soft ambient lighting, recessed lights, marble floors, and comfortable seating. My X-rays were taken quickly and comfortably. The dentist Juan Quintero has the most amazing bedside manner. I felt like a PERSON and not just a patient. My cavity was filled quickly and most importantly GENTLY!
