I have never been so insulted or felt utterly horrified that someone profiled me as a shoplifter. I was there with a dear friend of mine that was shocked at the way this woman snatched an item out of my hands and gave no warning. She stumbled over her words saying she would put it up front for me for safe keeping so i could shop some more. Then she followed me and my friend around the store. There were lots of customers in the shop at the same time we were there. As i stated i was insulted and hurt that someone would impune my character by profiling me and treating me like a common thief.

We met the owners. They were a very delightful couple and complimented them on their business. They were serving wine and a tasty morsel, which was a nice touch. The inside winds to the back and around the corner. Don't forget to make sure you explore all of the business while there. It's nice to see that Salem has something unique and you don't have to drive to Portland to find it.
