Every bottle was carefully packed, separated into smaller boxes so nothing would move, and even individually sealed at the caps. I've never seen that level of attention to detail before. On top of that, Chris went out of his way to help me track down a very specific version of the product I needed, even contacting other stores. He was communicative, honest, and genuinely cared about getting it right. He also included extra items and even additional bottles, which was such a thoughtful surprise. I called on this past Saturday and was told to come in Tuesday or Saturday before 6:00 for a consultation. I decided to go yesterday (which was a Tuesday afternoon), so I left work early in order to get there no later than 5:30, as I commute and it required me taking 2 buses. When I got there, at 5:22, a young lady opened the door and told me they were closed, she was the only one there, and she would be unable to give me a consultation. I told her what I was told on Saturday and without apology, told me to come back tomorrow after 9:00 or Saturday at the same time. I was so disappointed that I just said thank you and left. Maybe I am just in my feelings, but I was really looking forward to my consultation and annoyed that I took 2 buses for nothing. The young lady was not unpleasant, however, she could have been a bit nicer and at least apologized for the inconvenience. Long story short, unsure about whether I will go back or not.

I showed a picture of exactly what I wanted. Instead, Kevin chose not to soak off my acrylic, he filed down with the machine and rushed through the process, leaving my nails uneven with leftover acrylic still on them. On top of that, he cut my nails short and rounded them without ever asking me, this was not what I requested at all. When I politely asked if he could reshape them, his attitude immediately changed. He became rude and dismissive and then said, "I'm done here," refusing to continue the service. I was left with nails I didn't ask for and had to leave feeling completely unheard and dissatisfied. Kevin said he would refund my money & when I swung by the salon I was met by June who glared at me then practically threw the cash refund at me. I was surprised they so readily agreed to refund my money...., could it be because they knew damn well what a horrid job they both did & realized I wasn't going to allow them to get away with it. As I was putting my money into my wallet, predictably my gel mani chipped & ironically it was the nail of my middle finger which chipped first!! Armed with my refund I could only smile ruefully as I promptly spent it on a proper, painless & perfect gel pedi in the salon next door called Ambrosie.
