I ordered a turkey tip and turkey link combo. The bbq was so good . It had a sweet and savory taste, as if the meat was smoked over brown sugar wood chips. The customer service was STELLAR! Its a small shack like restaurant with a drive thru and indoor lobby. They also have patio seating in front and back of the building. Please don't let the shabby look deter you. The BBQ is well worth it.

Tasted as tho there was no bbq sauce. No season and dry. Hardly any me which didn't matter because that tasted horrible anyway. Mac and cheese was dried out and ove cooked, peach cobbler was watery. I contacted the restaurant and let them know and was given a number which he said was the manager /owner. Never bothered by call ing me back but instead text with questions Picture we're sent and he never solved anything and stopped texting. I reapacked the food and getting ready to toss it in the garbage. I will not be returning nor do I recommend this place. PISST!!

We were greeted nicely and warned of workers calling off. They even provided mixed chips between our appetizers and entrees. We started with the grilled and fried shrimp. Both were amazing. Realizing there was no dipping sauce but not being able to stop eating them while awaiting sauce was commendable. Both were very tasty. The fried green tomatoes were cooked perfectly and seasoned impeccably... again no sauce needed. The catfish and the salmon bites again, seasoned and fried perfectly. The fried mushrooms were different but so good. The star of the night was the Shaniky pasta and I'm not a pasta fan. I had only one complaint. For the same price, you get either 4 pieces of beautifully fried catfish and fries or one piece of beautifully fried catfish sitting in a huge bowl of very tasty but dry dirty rice. I would eat the dirty rice again, but I would choose 4 pieces of beautiful fried catfish with fries any day over a big bowl of rice and one piece of fish. Will definitely return.... Regularly!!!

So we thought. My fiancé ordered a fried crawfish platter and my mother in law and i had boils. It is now hours later and my fiancé is VIOLENTLY throwing up the same food he digested earlier that day!!! I've been shitting my brains out for the past hour! it's so bad that he has to call out of work tonight! DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! And to make things worse, I called the restaurant and they hung up in my face once i started to address my concerns. I called back and they had me on hold for 10 minutes! Wont even take accountability for possible food poisoning! Please if you care about yourself or your family's well being, choose another restaurant. And this JUST happened.

The waitress proceeded to tell my daughter " no, I don't get paid enough. Maybe if you leave me a tip I can." Mind you, tip is automatically included with the bill. The only feedback I really have are the bathrooms not being maintained frequently and the strong smell of pot all around, which not much they can do on that one. I gave it a 4 stars because my last visit, one of the staff members at their Starbucks was a little unwelcoming. I know it was close to their closing time, but the way my order was taken made me feel like I was an inconvenience to her. The rest of the staff there was nice. I mainly go for slots, so I haven't dined at any of their outlets nor have I interacted with the dealers, but just from observing, majority of the staff seems nice and inviting. I don't rate this off any winnings or losses, just overall ambiance and interactions.

I came to enjoy dinner at their Food Bazaar food court followed by a classic Motown Revue concert performed by a cover group called Motor City in their Halsted Ballroom. It was all courtesy of my high roller brother-in-law who had the required points to make it all complimentary. I learned this hotel-casino is owned by a group called the Poarch Band of Creek Indians and they own other properties mainly in AL and FL apparently as well as a few properties overseas. I will review their food court separately under the Food Bazaar Yelp page. Before eating, we walked about the premises. A lot of the space is dedicated to slot machines. They have the usual blackjack, baccarat, and craps tables, a sports betting room, and a smallish 10 table poker room. Other restaurants in the casino, not counting the food court eateries, include the Ivory Noodle Bar, Shuck It Oyster Bar, and The Spot American Diner. As far as the Motown Revue concert, I'll also go with a 3.49 star rating. The Halsted Ballroom has a stated capacity of 800 but we counted 552 seats. It was a comfortable setup albeit loud as the music was contained in a ballroom as opposed to an auditorium setup. The cover band and performers did a nice and entertaining job covering a lot of the classic hits from the Motown era. The performers covered hits by the Supremes, the Four Tops, Marvin Gaye, Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, and the Temptations. It was an entertaining and reminiscent evening for those of us who grew up in the 60's with this music.

My niece and I couldn't believe this was our first visit, especially after hearing so many great things. This place is incredibly popular, so I definitely recommend making reservations. After checking in, we waited less than five minutes and struck up a fun conversation with two lovely ladies who were also first-timers. It was the perfect start to the evening. The atmosphere is warm, lively, and inviting, with Mardi Gras beads and colorful carnival masks throughout the restaurant that give it so much character. Our server was fantastic. Unfortunately, I didn't catch his name, but he was friendly, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations made choosing from so many tempting options much easier. Now let's talk about the food... EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious! To kick things off, I ordered the Creole Voodoo Zombie, and my niece had the Hurricane. Both cocktails were fantastic and set the tone for an amazing meal. My niece is an excellent cook herself and has dietary restrictions, so dining out can often be disappointing. That's what made this experience even more special--she genuinely loved every bite. We started with the crab cake appetizer and the BBQ shrimp appetizer, and both were packed with incredible flavor. For my entrée, I ordered the blackened ribeye, swapping the broccolini for the collard greens (worth the $3 upcharge!). The steak was perfectly cooked, and those collard greens were phenomenal. My niece chose the blackened red snapper étouffée, and she couldn't stop raving about it. Even though we were completely full, we couldn't leave without dessert. We shared the Mississippi Mud Turtle Brownie topped with marshmallow fluff and the strawberry shortcake. Our server suggested pairing the brownie with a butterscotch liqueur, and I'm so glad I took his recommendation--it was the perfect finishing touch and complemented the dessert beautifully. We've been talking about this meal ever since we left...and that's probably the biggest compliment I can give. In fact, we were so impressed that we made reservations for next weekend before we even left--and we're bringing two friends with us! Perfect for: Date nights, celebrations, or anytime you want a memorable meal that's worth planning ahead for. Maple Tree Inn absolutely lived up to the hype. 10/10--highly recommend!

My last visit was when they were still on Old Western Ave in Blue Island--way overdue for a return. Let's start with the food--absolutely delicious. The three of us kicked things off with the Cast Iron Cornbread, and trust me, don't skip it. Perfectly done and a great start to the meal. For mains, we went with the Pitmaster's N'awlins Gumbo, Hickory Buttered BBQ Shrimp, and Burnt Ends. Every dish was spot on--flavorful, well-executed, and clearly made with care. The restaurant itself is pristine--clean, polished, and classy without feeling stuffy. Service was just as strong. Our server, Nick, was attentive, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Safe to say, it will NOT be another 30 years before my next visit. Highly recommend.
