Got the chance to eat here with a friend on some last minute hangry stuff. Got the shrimps and crabs. Special was going on so was able to get a half LB shrimp and LB crab legs for $35. Want packed and they seem to be open late. My date seemed to have liked the crawfish fried rice. It was good. Wish I didn't leave the leftovers in the car overnight. ‍

Fresh and delicious! First time visiting this location and the waitress was super sweet. It was my daughters birthday so we randomly picked this spot and by our surprise it was very well worth it! They didn't have a candle for her brownie sundae so they wrote on the plate and I was very appreciative that they did so even if it was just for a quick lunch stop. We will definitely revisit! Thank you again for making it special for my baby girl!

There was a piece of hair in my takeout.

After I'm halfway through my seafood boil I discover Hair in my food. My hair is dyed ginger so I know it isn't mine . I'm fed up with this restaurant.

Over cooked the crab legs over cooked the noodles undercooked the corn, potatoes, and broccoli. They offered to cook it longer but I wouldn't have even trusted them to take it back and cook it longer. It turned me off so bad the first time. I figured I'd try this place instead of driving to Orland to go to Cajun Boil and Bar but I should've definitely done that because this place is absolutely disgusting.

My last visit was when they were still on Old Western Ave in Blue Island--way overdue for a return. Let's start with the food--absolutely delicious. The three of us kicked things off with the Cast Iron Cornbread, and trust me, don't skip it. Perfectly done and a great start to the meal. For mains, we went with the Pitmaster's N'awlins Gumbo, Hickory Buttered BBQ Shrimp, and Burnt Ends. Every dish was spot on--flavorful, well-executed, and clearly made with care. The restaurant itself is pristine--clean, polished, and classy without feeling stuffy. Service was just as strong. Our server, Nick, was attentive, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Safe to say, it will NOT be another 30 years before my next visit. Highly recommend.

My coworkers and I would go to the old location from time to time. Their new location opened in 2019, but this is the first time that I got to check it out. The restaurant is gorgeous! One thing that I noticed was all staff that I encountered generally looked happy. The host was super friendly and offered vegan or gluten free menus if we needed. The person that seated us also was running food and ensuring tables were kept clean. Since it had been so long since I dined here, the menu appeared smaller. I appreciated that our server Adam explained some of his favorites. The cocktail that I got was excellent. The cornbread appetizer was huge. I went with the gumbo and it was full of meat pieces. It was really flavorful. Adam was super friendly and made us feel welcome. Parking lot is tight, but they also offer valet. I highly recommend this spot if you are looking for some Louisiana style cusine.

I visited during a Saturday afternoon and was surprised with how empty it was. It was one other family that were in the middle of their meal so I was a little nervous. Luckily, the emptiness wasn't related to the quality of the food because it was good. The crawfish etouffee was well seasoned and had a bit of a kick to it if you enjoy spice. They do have a full service bar with cocktails; I ordered a mixed drink and while it tasted fine, I could hardly taste any alcohol in it. The service was also a bit slower than I'd imagine considering that it was empty when I dined. Despite those minor shortcomings, I enjoyed my dining and would keep it on my list of places to consider in the future.

I took my mom here for lunch yesterday, and after seeing some recent reviews, I thought things had improved, but yet again, i was disappointed and the food is still mid at best. My veggie omelet was greasy, hash browns were nothing special, pancakes were ok. Ordered the fried chicken wings for more protein, I only ate one as they lacked flavor and tasted old or like they were cooked in old grease. Mom had the perch plate. The fried fish was soggy, no crisp. The red beans and rice were really just bean paste over rice, and the flavor was odd, had me questioning whether they were spoiled. They offer 3 different cakes for dessert options, and they were all out of all 3!!! But besides the food, it was 83 degrees outside and they didn't have the air on. I asked about it and was told the air WAS on, but yet even their own staff was walking around fanning. It reached a point where the heat was unbearable and we left, I took absolutely nothing home. The only great thing about the experience was the staff, our server was super, duper friendly and I appreciated that, gave her a big tip. Yep, 3 strikes, I've learned my lesson, I won't be back.

The Cesar salad was excellent, it was fresh and crunchy. Savory dressing that came on the side. The fried rice was the perfect texture. My mom ordered the catfish, it was crispy! Along with the clam chowder, creamy and light in taste. Pretty good! Following our appetizers, our Korean barbecue came next. We ordered The ribeye, beef, short rib, Shrimp, salmon and the beef Bulgogi. The Ribeye and the beef short rib were my absolute favorites. They were fresh and very easy to cook. The beef Bulgogi was OK, it did burn extremely fast. The shrimp and the salmon cooked as expected. What's very different about this place that they let you season the food on the grill. That absolutely enhance the flavor of the meats. You can either eat it with the side of noodles or rice. We opted for the white rice, perfect combo. Our final course was the seafood boil, we both ordered the Cajun spicy seafood boil. It was delicious! My mom had noodles within hers and they were seasoned to perfection. The right amount of kick and flavor. The portion sizes are reasonably priced for what you get. I highly recommend going with a group! They have a whole lot to offer like happy hour and lunch specials. The service was excellent. We had the server beauty. She was amazing It made us feel like we were at home. The fried chicken wings were also delicious: crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Our servers, Jordan and Ashton, were spot on the entire time -- timely, professional, polite, and accommodating given the circumstances. Now for the rest. The brunch menu and pricing were a bit ridiculous. When our group first arrived, we were told there were no fried options available, yet later during the meal we noticed other tables receiving fried food -- which is ultimately how we ended up getting the chicken wings ourselves. The food came out sporadically, and some people in our party never even received what they ordered. The restaurant was not particularly busy, so it honestly felt more like poor execution than being overwhelmed. The music was nice in the background, and the drinks were great, but overall the experience was disappointing -- especially for a table celebrating three generations of mothers on Mother's Day. When we addressed the issues, the restaurant manager, Rashaun, seemed more inconvenienced than concerned. Meanwhile, we watched him moving around the restaurant the entire time while our table continued having a poor experience. Definitely expected much better.
