My care was exemplary for more than 10 years, however I have now moved my dental work to Oakmont Family Dental due to a disturbing burst of anger which I encountered from Dr. Furgason after his office billed me twice for the same service & I questioned him. This dental office is so amazing...! They have such integrity and are very transparent with what is covered, what isn't and what I will be paying. I love that..! Moving from Southern California to Eugene it took us awhile to find this dental office. But it was so worth the research for the best dental practice of Eugene as I truly feel that they are. I've now been to fergason for 2 wisdom tooth extractions. I can't really compare him to many dentists.... as I've only ever seen 2. But what I think everyone wants is good dental care and minimal pain. Would be nice if it were cheap, too. But that doesn't seem to be the world we live in. I've received awesome care during my extractions/filling/cleanings. Today has me in some pretty good pain (pulled a really stubborn upper wisdom today), but that's to be expected, I think, when you've pulled a tooth and a chunk of bone comes with it. All things considered though.... I feel great and the staff/dr were all outstanding, as usual. read more

Couldn't be happier with my experience with both Dr.Fife and Dr. Furgason. My childhood dentist retired, and I figured it was a good change to get a dentist that was closer, and more modern. I just dropped in with no appointment and got all my new patient forms filled out, and set up an appointment that was just a few days away. First intro apt was very thorough with the hygienist doing xrays, pictures, ect... then did the cleaning. Even with the bad news that I had a handful of cavities Dr. Fife did not make me feel bad about it, and set up a plan to get them all done in 2 appointments. Dr. Fife was also very attentive to my other concerns with my jaw/ TMJ problems. Got my appts for my fillings just 2 days apart per my request to get them done quickly. Dr. Furgason did a great job making me feel comfortable getting setup for the fillings. Made 100% sure I was totally numb before any drilling, and made sure that I was as comfortable as I could during the procedure. He explained what he was doing as he did it, and the progress of the procedure- made the time pass and put my mind at ease. I had 1 filling after my 2nd apt that was a bit sharp causing some discomfort which I called, and they got me in as soon as they could. Dr. Fife and the receptionist were encouraged/glad that I came back in to get it fixed which was a good feeling that they wanted to make it right. Tiny bit of grinding/smoothing and Dr. Fife had it fixed, and he and the hygienist made it a point to let the receptionist that it was a free fix to make sure I didn't get billed for it. My experiences with Dr. Furgason have been extremely positive. Most of my life going to the dentist has been a very stressful experience. Other dentists have made me feel pretty bad about my teeth (lots of dental work), insecure about money ( telling them I can't afford certain procedures) or ignoring what I say. This is the best dentist I have been to in Eugene, both hygienist I've seen are superb.

Dr Fergason provides average dental care for a much higher price than other providers do, they do not accept any network provider discounts, which they did not make clear when we initially called them, subsequently we were surprised with an $1100 bill for a crown and root canal after we had exhausted our annual limit for using a "non-network" provider. There are over 100 dentists in the local area who will accept in-network insurance in the Eugene area, if you want to pay for a premium Coburg Road location and fancy office and receive no network provider discount, use Dr Fergason, if you wish to save money go to any of the 100+ dentists who do offer an in-network provider discount. Non-network Dentists will lead you to believe that by using in-network dentists you will receive sub-standard care, when in fact the insurance companies are providing some long overdue price controls on Dentist who charge in excess of $500 per hour to do simple procedures such as cleanings and fillings. Dr. Fergason is also happy to recommend a 50 cent shot of Nitrous Oxide at a cost of $58 dollars a pop (not billable to insurance of course) for your kiddos that are nervous about getting their teeth drilled. Wow! I was looking for a new dental practice, and I scored...big time! The office is immaculately clean and relaxing, the front office staff are friendly and polite, and my dental experience was wonderful. I had the best-ever dental cleaning by Windy, the dental hygienist, who was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. This was followed by a dental exam with Dr. Fife, who was equally as professional and friendly. Unfortunately, I have spent my fare share of time in the dental chair over the years, and can say with absolute certainty this is the best dental experience I have ever had! The best service I could ask for! I found this dentist on Yelp and was so happy with everything they offered. I am a student at the University of Oregon and was nervous to find a new dentist on my own that I could trust. They easily connected my records from my previous dentist and helped make the switch so easy. Since the second I called them they made me feel like I've been going to them for years.
