I know a person who called your cab company last night with a slow friend of his. And the dispatcher told him they didn't have any cars available, right after, so he had a female friend call to arrange a ride and all of a sudden you all had cars available, once they were picked up, the cab driver charged my friend and the other person who were picked up together and going to the same place $29.00 each. Since when do you all charge each person instead of charging one person and the other pays 1.00. ????? You all are shiesty, people who don't charge the correct prices and you charge whatever you want. Depending on the person. Which is complete bullshit. Driver was extremely extremely rude and childish. Threw my groceries on the ground that were in the trunk and then just drove off as I was trying to speak. It's unfortunate because there are some very good employees there. But you have to be careful because some will try to get one off on you and double charge you. They're the only taxi in town so they know they can get away with it. This is not pointed towards the good employees that work there. Just the few that give the business a very bad name. read more

JN Taxi is one of two taxi companies in Escanaba. They are quite clean and always safe. The drives do not charge on a meter. Rather, they have standard prices based on distance between areas. These prices are very reasonable. I recently busted my car and needed a ride to work (which was across town). I was only charged $8. Since this is not a normal city taxi service there is not a central dispatcher with a fleet of vehicles, I recommend calling to schedule a ride at least 2 hours before you need them. read more

I called to get a ride and when the driver picked up the phone his tone was so rude and told me "wait a second." I could hear him talking and assuming he is picking someone up (which I completely understand). I said "no worries" And waited. It was maybe 30 seconds and he asked me where I needed to go and where I was coming from . He said it would be an 45 mins wait, and mind you, it's about a 20 min cab ride. I proceeded to ask my significant other if he wanted to wait 45 mins, and the driver cut me off saying "you want a ride or no!?" I know this driver as I have received multiple cab rides before and this was just plain ignorant. I was not rude, I was just trying to get a safe ride home . This attitude deters people from using this service. I understand that these drivers deal with many different people , drunk people , etc... but I was very polite and patient. why can't I get that same respect from him ? Called ahead to check if they helped with Walmart grocery pickup which they answered yes, they did but the person used a rude condescending tone. During the actual pickup when I got to Walmart the driver was incensed that it was to help with a grocery pickup instead of just dropping me off and was actually yelling at me that it takes to much time to do that. I am a local Pastor and I use J N quite freqently. They are efficient, cost-effective, friendly and reliable. To say nothing about timely...if they tell you 10 minutes wait, that's what it will be, or quicker. I'd rate them 5 stars but then again, no one is perfect. read more
