I would highly recommend J.R. Auto Collision shop for any of your autobody needs. I am a long time automobile collector and enthusiast and have a self admitted knowledge of automobile repair, particularly "body and fender" work. Long story short, I brought my car in with a squeaking, rattling sound coming from my driver's side front window. Another body shop in the area told me, without a doubt, while not even listening to the sound, that it was a window regulator and quoted me a price of nearly $300.00 to fix the problem. Jesse De La Garza at J.R. told me it may not be the regulator at all and it may be a result of all things ,tree sap gumming up the window rails. He came outside, IN THE RAIN, and applied a few applications of a de gumming solution to the window rails and I kid you not, that solved the problem. Cost to me, absolutely nothing. Since I did not have repair work done on the car I cannot attest to their workmanship but I can for their honesty and honestly, the number of cars on their lot, both private and commercial, waiting to be repaired, in addition to online reviews, tell me they must have a good reputation for quality work. I had an awesome experience at JR Auto Collision, in Arlington Heights. I have had repairs done at JR's twice,over 19 years, I owned my Toyota Highlander when I was involved in 2 accidents and needed to file insurance claims. JR's is where I was sent and I was always happy with the service and repairs. About two weeks ago, the driver's side door of my new 2025 Honda CRV was ripped from my grip by the crazy high winds we had, when I pulled up to a gas station pump and the door hit a metal post. I was heartbroken to say the least! I went to JR's and worked with Jesse. He gave me options on the repairs to my new car. I had 4 other estimates. No one else gave me options between a full repair or making it look as good as possible, without the huge expense. Jesse suggested the much less expense "route" and if I wasn't happy with it, I could do the much more expense repair. He suggested door guards which I purchased from the dealer and they put them on for me for such a nominal fee which made it look even better! I really wanted a full repair but I'm losing my job in a month and I did not want to report it to insurance, so this option made the most sense and I'm very happy with it and people literally have to come close to even see the remaining "ding." Very pleasant experience and I was not talked down to being a woman. He took time to talk to me and not just sit at a computer and print up a quote and send my on my merry way. I was so disappointed in my experience with JR Auto- i selected the repair shop because of the amazing reviews. I have to believe there has been a staff or management change that's impacted their level of service. To recap my experience: - we were told car repair would take 5 days, it took 21 - we never received a call or update in those 21 days unless we initated contact - an incorrect bill was submitted to insurance that missed some of the costs so a new report had to be drafted- this caused a delay. Mistakes happen, but the auto shop was not transparent about the cause of the delay, we had to get details from insurance & then the auto shop accepted fault - the kicker is that when i drove off the lot about a mile away from the shop, lights came on & my tire back tire was deflated Moral of the story- i'd pick a different spot. I recommend Denny G's in Des Plaines - professional, efficient, and fair. I'd keep an eye on reviews post October 2019 because it seems this place is going downhill read more

J R Auto did a great job on my car which had fairly minor damage but being picky like I am, I wanted the repair to be perfect with manufacturer parts. It was a little more expensive than I had hoped for but it was well worth it. The final price was right on target to the estimate and the car was ready when they said it would be. We needed him to be home so he could make his Grandmother's funeral service. I knew that it would be a long day and I did not want to drive the rental unit that I had from Enterprise. By far the most accurate, efficient, and courteous collision repair experts. They do the communication between the car rental and insurance company so it's less hassle you need to worry about when all you want is your car back. The entire crew is diligent and meticulous in ensuring in the Mount Prospect and Arlington Heights area. that your car is back to it's usual condition. My family takes any car that gets into an accident since the early '90s. They've worked on probably 8 of our vehicles. (We have a big family with a car per person). This is definitely an exceptional repair shop and when I end up moving out of state I'll come back if I ever get in a jam. Fabulous customer care and service! My brother's neighbor smashed into my driver's door while my car was parked on the street. The door would not open. Neighbor's insurance company said car was ok to drive and they would only give me a rental while car was in the shop. Jeff immediately called them and told them the car was unsafe and they should have given me a rental immediately. He had his staff arrange it for me and said he'd do all the insurance dealings. What a load off my mind! I'd never had a wreck before so I stupidly believed the insurance people. It's clear that this place cares about safety and service above all. Highly recommend. read more

Incredibly satisfying experience, first rate service and first rate repairs! I have a 2006 Hummer H3 which was smacked in a parking lot while parked. My insurance company gave me choices of shops to take the care too and I chose JR since it was very close to where we live. Well my experience first with Zach and then with Eric was one of impeccable service and a customer-centric focus. Zach was very thorough in his analysis of the damage. Eric served me in scheduling the appointment to repair the damage and through the actual repair itself. Excellent work and customer service. They replaced a rear bumper on my 2008 Sienna mini-van after a rear end collision. I expected a bit of color difference due to age but JR matched it perfectly. Outstanding work and an above and beyond service. I was especially surprised and delighted to see my entire interior also cleaned (including the very soiled from winter Weathertech floor mats). They cleaned the interior the best I've seen it in quite a while. Exterior as well was nice and clean. It really put a smile on my face. The WORST customer service ever. Great body work. Steer clear of "Eric" front desk, never been treated worse. Chose them based on overall " we will take care of you". No consideration of what a customer must experience post.accident. He will get the parts off your car to make profit whether it needs to be replaced or not. Two weeks later you get your car.
