Everything was working that had to do with my accident, the knocking noise was still there but I was told it wasn't due to the accident. Instead of charging me out of pocket to fix it, he told me I could do it myself and save money. Goes to show that they aren't out to get you, but out to really help. DO NOT TRUST THEIR WORK!!! This review is long over due. I was in an accident in October of 25 and at the suggestion brought my car to Gerber for the repairs. I chose the highest rated Gerber in my area even if it wasn't the closest. Only to receive a call a day after drop off that my car was being taken 45 minutes away cause they actually were too busy to work on my car. So it was brought to a lower rated shop without my consent. Multiple times I was told my car would be ready in a specific day and received NO notice that it was delayed. I got out of work early for pick up and arranged rides with friends. Only to find out my car wasn't even ready. When it was done 3 weeks later they drove (not towed) it back to the WRONG Gerber. So I then had to drive to a third Gerber for pick up. After pick up I took my car to be looked and elsewhere and was told I had severe bad alignment in my front tires -interestingly enough the same part of my car that was hit. I called Gerber to ask if they checked my alignment I was told they couldn't legally tell me, a separate time I was told u can't mess up ur alignment in an accident, I was told they would have someone call me back. I called 4 times and was never given an answer as to the repair. Finally in December tow months after my accident I was called to get my alignment fixed. Only to find out the only place I could go was 50 minutes from my home. Then after my appointment they called saying I owed 500$!!! They had lost my original payment for my deductible. They corrected the situation and offered to try and refund me for my deductible cause of my troubles and to look at my car again. I called after the holidays to go through with the process and never heard back. Now I've had to pay to get my car checked out elsewhere and can't trust my original repairs there. Also found it strange that ok pickup my car magically had a small crack in the windshield after being worked on by a glass shop... read more

I had been in an accident the night prior, and was only barely able to get my car to Gerber. Although they did not have any openings, Martin at the front desk worked very hard calling other Gerber shops trying to find somebody to get me in, and did it despite long wait times everywhere. Not only this, he helped me by speaking to AAA for me and holding on to my keys so they could tow the car for me while I went to get a rental. Collision Revision was purchased by Gerber Collision and Glass this past year. This location still has the old sign, with a banner over it with the Gerber name. I actually went here because I hit an ENORMOUS pothole which just about swallowed my car. At first, I really didn't know how much damage was done. But when I pulled in their lot, I was really surprised. Phil, the estimator, was extremely professional. He looked over the car and gave me a rough estimate of what needed to be done and what it would cost. He added that, in accidents like this one you don't really know what damage has been done that can't be seen so the price may go up. I understood and thanked him for his honesty. In reality, it did go up about 50%, but was given the option of going elsewhere if I wanted. No, I trusted them and gave them the business. In fact, they did a great job - it drove off as if there had never been any damage and looked as good too. My only complaint, and very minor, was that I kind of expected the car to be washed before returning it. The front end, where the work was done, was immaculate. The rest of the car, however, could have been at least wiped down. It is minor, I know, but I only mention it so you can say you want the car cleaned before it is returned. In fact it is so minor that I don't hold it against them at all. We were so pleased, we had some damage to another car we had been putting off fixing. As soon as my car was done, we dropped off my wife's car for a needed body repair. The job done on that was as good as the one done on my car. TLDR: They will charge you $1500 a $55 job We recently brought my moms car in for repair after an accident they fixed the car without any issue. Fast forward ~month and the parts they replaced started to fall off (it's a 2017 with less than 20k miles). They said it looked like someone was hit her and quoted ~$1500 for the fix. To us it looked like they just needed to replace a bracket. We were a bit surprised by the quote and were about to submit a claim when we decided to get a second opinion. I am glad we got the second opinion and did not go with these guys. The local shop quoted us $55 for the repair. read more

I took my car here about 4 months ago since they work with state farm. I had some bumper work done and the receptionist was very communicative. There was a day or two delay with my car. No major complaints there... So why am I giving them 2 stars? For trying to convince me that a factory installed trim on my car bumper never existed. Honestly if you don't have the part in stock and couldn't use the existing one cause you broke it... be honest. Don't take me out to see the shiny finished product and tell me...No....nothing looks funny...it was always like that. They took before pictures so should have glaringly seen the difference, but I'm guessing they ignored it? Either way, I double checked my pre accident pics and a stainless steel bumper sill and trim is most definitely missing off my car. They decided to go with the cheap rubber piece when they did my repair... i did go out and purchase one for a little over $100 but a) I don't feel like I should have had to and b) when a customer says something doesn't look right... You shouldn't blow it off like it's simply their imagination.. Solid workmanship, but I'd check every tiny trim and panel before letting them have the car... or you could save yourself the stress and go somewhere else. read more

Update 2: The installer called in the early morning and set a time range. He arrived at the beginning of the time window. He was very efficient, pleasant and quick, and even replaced a window sticker & the iPass transponder. The new windshield looks great! I'm very pleased. Gerber dropped the ball at first, but their subsequent response was exceptional. You can judge a company by the way they handle issues, and my issue was handled in a very professional and customer-focused manner. I'm quite impressed and won't hesitate to recommend them to others. ________________________________________________________________ Update 1: I received a call from Matt, who apologized for the situation and was quite sympathetic. We rescheduled for this coming Friday. OK, things are getting better. I understand that stuff happens, but good communication is key. I used their web reservation system to schedule an on-site windshield replacement. The site gave me a price and allowed me to select both an installation date & a time range. The site accepted my appointment. But then they sent me an email asking to call to set a reservation... wait a minute, I just did that on the website! Don't allow someone to make a web appointment if you don't honor it! OK fine, so I called & set an appointment to have an installer come to my place of work in 8 days. On the morning of the reservation I get a call from the installer telling me he can't make it out to my work location until between 5 and 6 pm! Sorry, I'm off by then & driving 38 miles back home. This is follow up on review below. I returned a car for additional repairs and it was properly and nicely fixed. I wish it could be done right away without a complain and general manager involvement. "My car was sent here for repairs by Liberty Mutual insurance; their customer rear ended me and pushed my car in the car in front of me. I was horrified to see the results of "repairs". I had to show car to another mechanic to find out if can I drive my car after such repairs or should I return it Gerber Collision. I was told to return a car and complain: one side of exhaust is just sitting in an air (brackets were broken), paint was applied with severe orange peel, overflows, and contamination; bampers, lights were installed with misalignment, etc. Even with naked untrained eye you will be able to see that car was in very serious incident and was very cheaply and poorly repaired. If you drive a decent car, STAY AWAY from this repair shop." read more

I am sickened by the job these people did for me. My insurance company referred me to them; I'll also give them feedback. I went in for a shattered rear glass window. They kept calling asking me to fix other jobs (painting the fender, etc) which I did but the prices were outrageous. They kept my car longer than promised (two weeks) indicating they were doing so because they are perfectionists. I wish! There are still shards of glass all over the back of my car, there is white pasty stuff baked onto my steering wheel and interior walls, there is crap all over the outside of my car as if they tried to wax it but left it on and now it's stuck. I'm absolutely disgusted. What a waste of $3,000! I wish I could give them zero stars but yelp won't let me. read more

Got my bumper cover replaced and repainted. Also they did some work underneath the bumper absorber and the tabs that hold the bumper cover. They decided to use OEM because the aftermarket cover would not fit right (This is a plus for them. Other shops would put it on and HOPE that the customer would not look at it). Got the car back the next day. Paint job was excellent. Minimal orange peel and the clear coat as clear and smooth as glass. Phil is the manager at this facility. read more

This is a review of the Gerber Glass Instant Quote online tool. I'm attributing it to this location, as it is the closest location to where the windshield would have been repaired. Initially, I was very pleased with the experience. I found the tool online, and was very hopeful. I put in the details of my vehicle, put in the date and the location where the installation was to occur, and the tool responded with a price quote. I confirmed the price, my personal information and the date. But then, I received a phone call, asking me if I wanted to upgrade to a 'sun conrtol' windshield. After I declined, I was told that my vehicle would require a new moulding ($40 upcharge). If the moulding is always required for my specific vehicle, why doesn't the tool know that. They did however offer to apply a $20 coupon. In the end, the quoted price was ~20% higher than the "instant quote". Bait and switch. I was enthusiastic about the transaction. Unfortunate that it had to go this way. Call around, and talk to a human being. At least then they're accountable. read more

Called to make an appointment to have my windshield fixed, has a crack low on the window, on a Tuesday and set up the appointment for that Friday. Friday comes and I didn't hear anything by 1 pm so I called them only to find out I was never put on the schedule for the day. I let it go because things do happen and rescheduled for the following Tuesday. I get a call Tuesday morning saying my appointment is canceled because the technician called in sick and I have to reschedule. Annoyed by trying to be patient I called and rescheduled for the next day which was Wednesday and was told I would get a call by 10 am to let me know about what time they would be at my work. At 10:30 I called because no one called me and the person I spoke to told me the technician will call me in about 5 minutes which he did. I was then told that he would be calling between 2 pm and 3 pm to let me know he was on his way. At 3:30 pm I called him since I hadn't heard from him and apparently he seen I had called so tried calling me while I was leaving him a message. I seen he called and called him back immediately to find out what was going on. Was told that he was working on a couple of jobs in the shop and won't be done until 5 when they apparently close. He said he was going to tell dispatch to call me to reschedule. Can't say it was horrible service because I never had any service, I am not going to reschedule again with them because I have already made an appointment with one of their competitors, I would not recommend Gerber to anyone even my worst enemy. read more

Terrible experience and now being left with a vehicle unsafe to drive. My vehicle was hit while parked and had significant bumper and fender damage as well as suspension and power steering issues. Off the bat gerber was telling me the only issue due to the accident was the body work which was so obvious that was not the case, but since the mechanics opinion was different then I just get left with an unfinished job after wasting time and money over the last month to try to figure out what was wrong with my car. I took multiple steps after they didn't fix it completely the first time to try to find out what could be wrong with my power steering since gerber was absolutely sure it has nothing to do with the collision and nothing else was found but my vehicle still had the same issue it did from the second it was hit which didn't exist the day before it was hit. Would not recommend ever, if you have a mechanic and body shop who's opinion you trust don't ever let your insurance company try to tell you otherwise. Now I'll be left with an unsafe vehicle and have to continue dumping money into something that should have been fixed from the start but since it's Gerber and an Insurance company against me they could really care less what I drive away with. Never again will i use nor recommend gerber to anyone what a waste of time and effort and now even more money. Thanks for nothing Gerber Collision! read more

They are great! I brought my car there after I was rear ended and the whole back end of my car and trunk were messed up. They were just very nice, and honest. They talked me through every step, and called almost daily to give me updates. I had to go through insurance and they they knew a lot about how to do that, and even dealt with the insurance people for me. They did awesome work, the back of my car looks like new and they finished ahead of schedule. They were just really nice and human, not too cooperate. I felt like they went out of their way to help with the little things. They also had some deal with the rental car place which made things even easier, becuase they just called them to meet me where i dropped off the car. Everyone was nice, but I think the man who called to give me updates and kept going out of his way was Steve. Also, they guarantee all their work for life.
