This food is so u good! I get this lunch special pretty frequently. It's the Cascade drip flavor.

The picture doesn't do it justice, but these wings are HUGE!!!

Asked for the smallest wings available and if there wasn't, please let me know. In the past, upon making this request, it hasn't been a problem. The wings I received look like big whole wings, that were cut in half. The wings darn near look like Turkey wings. When I spoke to the manager about the problem, I was told this is smallest they have-totally disregarding my original request to let me know. If the manger wasn't an older lady, I would have demanded my money back. Also, on the receipt it clearly states "Smallest Wings Possible" and "Small Wings No Big Wings." The problem I have is there was no regard for my original request and then the lack to try and make the situation right or lack of concern. I patronize this establishment too much to try and support, but this experience has me feeling some type of way. From now on I'll just go to South Cobb, where this isn't a problem.

Food was not good. We asked for crispy wings but they were so hard that we couldn't get any meat off about 6 of them. It was toooo crispy! Please do NOT ask for crispy We had 13 fries (the other person counted them) Usually you have a good amount-Nope We had no condiments on our table. We had to use the other table(which the lady was mad about)-and finally the server borrowed one from another table. Service ummm maybe it was tooo many people on the patio-lady said I'll be back because I have other people inside (maybe she was the only one) WE* must do better Ambiance-It's like all the others* I wish establishments like this would take what we write in consideration. I wish they would reach out to truly see where the disconnect started. It's unfair that we pay a 20% gratuity for poor food and service! I won't return......

The food here is delicious! I don't know about other people experience I know for myself! I got a order on 9-13-2025 through Uber Eats. I saw this location from my Uber driver on the app! Previously yrs ago I got a order from the Lawrenceville Hwy location that closed down before they opened up at the Tucker GA location the food was okay not memorable. I never visited the Tucker GA location because of the bad reviews! I passed the other location around the corner from Mary Macs in midtown dropping and picking up my sister from the MegaBus for years ago I never stopped by. The business has had a run since 1984 with people cooking like this at this location I can see why! Hopefully they are cooking like this at every location and can take notes from here! These people need a raise and every location needs to train under them! I got the lemon pepper wings with the fries and blue cheese! Creme De la Creme!

My work ordered takeout from here so I can't speak on service or ambiance. I chose the chicken fingers with fries. For my sauces, I selected honey mustard as well as BBQ, and also asked for ketchup packets and a side of hot sauce. I absolutely LOVE the rare mod of ordering "crispy fries," so when I saw that as an option, I was stoked. The crinkle cut fries were crispy as promised, and satisfying! As for the chicken fingers, they were very dry... but nothing sauce can't fix! I alternated dunks into the BBQ, Hot Sauce, and Honey Mustard--all were enjoyable. This place is a very no-fuss, casual sports bar, so taper your expectations and you'll enjoy it for what it is. I ate every last bite of this box.

10/10 I truly recommend! The food, the service and even the line dancing on Wednesday was a vibe! We went with the wings 20 piece. Have teriyaki have lemon pepper $25.99 but it was so worth it. Wings were very flavorful and the fries that came with it was outstanding. I ordered a margarita $5 and later a red stripe. My bestie ordered the catfish nugget basket. I will most definitely be back on a Wednesday. My only downfall was the air was not on and it was warm on there. JR, crickets at Cascade has been open for a few years now at the closing sometime ago. I can tell that a lot of hard work was put in to back opening of the restaurant/sports bar and it was a success. I will return. I just want them to turn the air on. Thanks JR. Crickets, be back soon...

I was carving some wings and fingured this would be a good spot. I used to frequent the JR Crickets in Midtown but since moving to the Southside, this is around the corner. The wings were crispy with just the right amount of sauce; I usually get extra wet (IYKYK) but this was just right. The drinks were strong and flavorful; bartender must've been in a good mood that day. We went because we thought there was going to be triva on Thursdays, but there was none, just something to be aware of. Parking is free and the restaurant has been renovated with clean bathrooms and a nice patio. Overall, I'll definitley return. Solid choice for wings and good drinks.

10 Piece College Wings, fries, medium blue cheese, celery on the side. Ketchup was thick as a mf but it was some type of Heinz Healthy lol.

Soooo, if you old old Atlanta, you remember what this place used to be and we adjusted. I would lying if I did not acknowledge that is was loooonnggg over due for new owners and some upgrades and that's just what has happened!! I love this particular JR Crickets location and the Original downtown(even tho wayyy too much going on at that one these days)...y'all can keep the rest of em (in my Atlanta voice). But that's also due to the fact that these two are most familiar. We enjoyed the ambiance, the live DJ and the beautiful up such as the marble style floors(which is rare for a bars set-up, and the various TVs for ease of watching the Texas vs NO game). The food was typical JR Crickets fashion but there were a few things that I want to call out: 1. The food was not hot; well sat at the bar and maybe it wasn't picked up fast enough but the fries where for sure room temp. If the food was hot it would have been a 500 out of a 100. 2. The mixed drinks are weak af, so I would stick to the "straight" light chaser. I had the peach tea and my sis had the mixed Long Island that the bartender Alicia stated she had mixed a few days prior so we took a chance on it. Titos and Jack are 6 dollars everyday so it makes more sense to get a double of these guys instead of anything mixed. 3. 20% gratuity on ALL dine in orders, so read read read. We did not tip over as the service was service. Nothing extra just to the point...I feel like had we'd complained about the room temp food or the mixed drinks being weak, it would not have been received well by our bar tender. Nonetheless, I would most definitely go back and frequent...it's got more pluses annnnddd this is one of my favorite spots to frequent when home

Our daughter spent the first few minutes waving at the staff, and they genuinely lit up every time -- such a warm, welcoming vibe right from the jump. Starters We kicked things off with the she‑crab soup, and that's when we knew the meal was going to be special. Tons of rich crab flavor and chunks of crab. The crispy shrimp toast was another hit -- crunchy, savory, and a great pairing with the soup. We also ordered the Baker's Dozen oysters, chef's selection. All 13 were fresh, clean, and briny in the best way. Next up: the Spanish octopus, and honestly... top five octopus dish we've had. Cooked perfectly -- tender, melt‑in‑your‑mouth texture. The salsa macha added just the right amount of heat, and the marcona almonds brought a great crunch with the cilantro, lime, and mint brightening everything up. What a beautifully composed dish. We finished with the Halibut and Lady peas. The Halibut was topped with lobster and served with a lobster butter sauce, chives, and capers. Rich, buttery, flaky, and perfectly cooked. The lady peas (fava beans, asparagus, and a generous mound of blue crab) were another standout. So much flavor, but everything complemented each other instead of competing. One of those sides you keep looking for more of when it's gone. --- Overall Every dish was thoughtful, balanced, and executed at a high level. Service was warm and genuinely kind -- especially with our little one. 10/10 would recommend

Over the years we've seen things decrease especially at the optimist. The hosts were great and they always give us great service but the food had been the lacking the last couple of services where the she crab soup lacked crab, the swordfish over cooked multiple times. This time in particular we ordered the whole lobster and was offered to have it taken out of the shell for us. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. When we got the lobster we got a full tail but one claw and no knuckles. When we addressed with the server, she argued with us that that's how a lobster is and that there could be more meat hidden on the plate. It felt like she thought we were there to just get more food by saying "so what do you want, more meat" but if we had it in the shell we would have received our full portion. The manager on duty tried to make it up to us by comping the lobster but it was more than that. After going back and forth with the server we just wanted the check to leave. The manager on duty insisted to give us the lobster and take it home. The server wasn't very polite and argued with us about the lobster. I wish I remembered the servers name With that said, the amount of money we have spent there over the years, it's unfortunate that that will be our last time going to the Optimist.

They're a newer restaurant with multiple promos, and I snagged the $100 dining credit for $50. After checking their menu and health score, I figured it was worth it. Parking & First Impressions: I first tried the lot across the street--ran over a glass bottle from an overflowing trash can, and the kiosk wanted over $20. No thanks. I walked to the door at 6 PM (they open at 4), only to find it locked. After pushing, pulling, and almost breaking it, I called. The manager was just as confused but eventually sent someone to let us in. Turns out, cheaper parking is directly behind the building for $10. Pro tip: if you can squeeze between the fence, you'll end up right at the restaurant's street without circling around. That matters, especially since a lady was pacing the block knocking on car windows. The Space: The vibe inside? Definitely vibey--low-lit, lounge style. From what I could tell, seating was mostly booths and a bit limited (maybe there's an upstairs). We were the only ones there and picked our booth, but had to ask for the table to be wiped down. Odd, considering we arrived two hours after opening. Service & Groupon Details: Our server seemed new but thorough--she double-checked everything with the manager, especially around the Groupon. I appreciated that. Too often, places surprise you with hidden fees or weird gratuity rules. No such issue here. Bonus: the brunch menu runs all day. Food & Drinks: We went all in on the $100 credit: Truffle & Parmesan Fries - $12.50 Lamb Chop Lollipops - $38 Monte Cristo-style Cinnamon Bun Sandwich - $20 Salmon & Grits - $22 "The Django" cocktail - $18 The fries? Fantastic. Big portion, fresh, and flavorful--something I'd order on UberEats alone. The lamb chops? Worth every dollar. Perfectly cooked, plenty of meat, and that honey balsamic glaze was chef's kiss. The brussels sprouts could've been sautéed longer, but not bad. I originally wanted the ribeye and eggs platter, but they were out of steak. Disappointing, but the cinnamon bun sandwich more than made up for it--sweet, savory, and satisfying (though they forgot the breakfast potatoes). My fiancée's salmon was well done, not dry, but the grits needed more time and more cheese. I mentioned it to the chef when she came out. Now, the drink? That was the showstopper. "The Django" came with cherry wood smoke infused right at the table. I let it sit for a few minutes, and wow--smooth, robust, with the last sips hitting hard. Not a complaint, just a heads-up. Overall: This is a chill spot with good food and unique touches. It's not perfect--a few gnats keep hovered around our table, and service is still finding its groove--but it's far from terrible. I'd come back, maybe later in the evening to see the nightlife vibe, or in the future once things feel more polished.
