I brought my wife and baby here on her suggestion after many years of not going even though it's right down the street haha! Honestly they've done a great job with the place! It went from being an underused cafe to being a line out the door establishment that's very popular. The thing that struck me the most was how friendly the staff was. There are so many restaurants where you feel like your lucky to get service or that they really don't care. Like, they actually came by to check on us and make sure we had what we needed. The food was pretty awesome and the prices were very reasonable. I love what they've done with the decoration. There's some historic paintings and pictures that are pretty cool in the downstairs portion. My wife had the bacon egg and cheddar sandwich with a side of grits. It was a great choice and we have since ordered that again. The baby likes pancakes so we ordered a stack of pancakes and that came out great too, even though I don't think it's technically on the menu. I had the fried green tomato stack, which was perfect because I usually end up nibbling off of my wife's and baby's plates. This place gets 5 stars for great food, great service, and reasonable pricing with a great atmosphere! If your looking for a chill brunch vibe, this is an awesome place to visit!
Before heading to the airport to head back to Cali we found this restaurant. Immediately we were greeted by staff members, this place is huge! They have an up and down stairs. Our server King was amazing, he was super helpful with the menu. Once we got our food, O M G that first bite will have you wishing you were taking the first bite again! Not sure if it was because we were super hungry or we finally found a place in GA with amazing food. We didn't even have to ask King for refills, he would immediately bring us our drinks. Place overall was great. Only thing I will say is the parking is a big hectic on a busy street so you will need to look for parking somewhere. If I ever decide to come back to GA or if we happen to have a baseball tournament out here again I would definitely love to come back. Again 10,000x thank you to King for the service!
Stumbled upon a gem at The Breakfast Boys, a fantastic black owned restaurant In College Park. Even on a busy weekday, I snagged a spot just in time. They have a few parking spots available, plus metered parking nearby. The jerk chicken and sweet potato waffles were incredible-moist and perfectly balanced. I also tried the pineapple and peach Mimosa's which were delightful. Definitely a lovely dining experience. I'II be back for more good eats.
Happy I finally had the opportunity to check out the very popular Breakfast Boys. Took my Husband for brunch on his birthday. I was able to easily make a reservation and edit the time when needed. The Breakfast Boys is located in charming downtown College Park. Parking is limited in front of the restaurant so we parked on a side street in a lovely neighborhood a short walk from the restaurant. Once we arrived we checked-in at the host stand and had to wait in a line outside the restaurant until our table was ready. The restaurant had benches and umbrellas to keep you in the shade while waiting but would be nice if they added a bit more for the warmer months. When the table was ready we were quickly seated and greeted by our exceptional server, King. We started with catfish nuggets that were very flavorful and paired well with a remoulade. To drink we tried the passionfruit mimosas that were pretty good and made well. For our entrees I had the chicken and pancakes and my husband had the catfish, grits and eggs. The birthday boy loved the grits as they were very creamy but his eggs were fried a bit too hard. My pancakes were pretty flavorful to where they were already slightly sweet without syrup but not in an overwhelming way. The chicken was good too. Most restaurants usually offer a treat for birthdays so was surprised they didn't. Either the food is great, the menu has many southern breakfast classics and vegan options. Will be back to explore more of their entrees.
Visited Saturday around 9am as a party of 7. There was no wait when we arrived and we were actually the only group waiting. The initial interaction with the host felt a bit overly assertive for the situation. I understand there was a designated waiting area and procedures to follow, but the tone came across as if she was managing a large crowd, when it was just our group. Things did settle once we were seated. We also noticed a vent above our table dripping water, which was not ideal. Our server, Keisha, took care of our order and service was handled without issue after that. We ordered a variety of dishes including fish and grits, steak and eggs, a burger, waffle, and a kids' meal. The food came out well and everyone enjoyed their meal overall. Automatic gratuity was added for our party size. Overall, a solid experience with good food, though a few service and environment details at the start took away slightly from it.
I came for a breakfast meeting and ordered the Salmon hash and it was a large order, too much for me but sooooo good.. Server was good, my server name was Tequila and she took good care of me.. Walked in and got seated right away and I love the R&B playlist vibes in there..

I ordered a simple bacons, egg, and cheese and it was by far one of the best I've had, especially with the sweet potato roll and side of potatoes. Also had the catfish with pancakes. Catfish was fried perfectly with a very nice crunch. Pancakes were fluffy. Mimosas were good as well. Would definitely recommend.

However, the hostess verbatim told us the reservation is more so "for show" You get added to the same list as walk in's. We had a 12:30 reservation sat roughly 45 minutes post check-in. I was about 5 minutes from leaving with my party ( mind you parking is $15) so you sort of don't want to leave but we were going to. They truly need to expand or work on their reservation system- I was told "we don't hold tables" which I understand but prioritizing street traffic over reservations is ridiculous. NOW once we were in - we didn't know there was a downstairs area. We sat downstairs and that's when the SERVICE began. I will come back because the food is actually delicious and the servers were nice. We got a bottle of champagne for roughly $40. The mimosas started flowing. WE all ordered different meals and took a bite out of everyone's. EVERY SINGLE THING WAS GOOD! We had a tab of less than $200 for 3 people which is AMAZING for the Atlanta brunch scene. This isn't the hookah stand on tables brunch but its a nice ambiance and there's good R&B playing. Ms. Gabby was our server and she was so sweet. She also knew we were hungry , ran us the specials put in our drinks and reassured us that we were in for a treat. I'll be seeing you all soon

I appreciate the waitresses writing their names on the table. Kesha is always friendly & attentive. Those salmon egg rolls...I could never get enough of those! They are so delicious & flavorful along with a sauce on the side. The pancakes are made with those delicious crispy edges...OH MY!! The decor & old skool music gives this place a perfect touch to a good vibe.
"The bees knees", went here for breakfast on our final day in Atlanta with the fam... tried to decide between 3 different places and Im so glad we went with this Resto. When we got there they were almost at full capacity and very busy but even with that we were able to sit pretty quickly and the service was fast and efficient. The entire staff is very personable and have great customer service skills... A sign of great work culture as well as great leadership. Our server was Keisha and she was awesome. I got the jerk chicken and sweet potato waffles. My sister got an omelet, and my nephew got the bacon and sweet potato waffles from the kids menu. Great portion sizes and the food was great. I split mine with my brother who wasn't really hungry but was still full. Side note.. best sweet potato waffles ive ever had.. soft, moist, layered flavors, and didn't even need syrup. Everyone else also loved their food..... Definitely a win and highly recommended!

First time in Atlanta, and The Breakfast Boys did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, the experience was outstanding. A huge shoutout to Ms Keisha, our server, who truly made our visit unforgettable. She gave amazing recommendations for both drinks and food, and even took the time to tell us about off-the-menu selections so we didn't miss out on some of the restaurant's best dishes. The food was incredible, the service was exceptional, and the hospitality was top-notch. If you're visiting Atlanta, The Breakfast Boys is an absolute must-visit. We'll definitely be back! read more

Don't be scared! For those who are afraid of jerk spice. The jerk is delicious. What in the crispy chicken skin did they do to get that flavor and crunch? Great experience and probably my 4th visit here. They'll want your full party before seating, but the dining room is so cute. I got the pancakes and wings and the wings were so fresh I had to wait for them to cool off. Pancakes were crispy and delicious. Our server Ms Keisha was amazing and checked up on us constantly. Wonderful experience at Breakfast Boys! Great staff, not many niceties from my server but it serves them well as they are efficient and forward with providing service. The food was flavorful and the portion sizes were huge. The artwork and decor is very whimsical and feels like a fun environment. I was able to sit pretty quickly during the weekday brunch hours as a walk in. I would assume that a reservation during more popular weekend times is the best option for reducing your wait. read more

MUST TRY!!! Love this place!! It is so cute inside, the service is amazing and the food is even better!! I was pleasantly impressed at how delicious everything was. We started strong with the salmon egg rolls and lobster Mac and cheese which were both recommended by our server. THAT MAC THOOO!! It was insanely creamy, and cheesy and the lobster perfected the bite. The egg rolls were also amazing and so flavorful. I would have a hard time picking one over the other so just order both hehe. Our server also recommended the jerk chicken and sweet potato waffles as well as the crispy catfish, shrimp and grits. We got both and let me tell you that those waffles have changed waffles for me forever.. they were phenomenal! The grits were also creamy and had a delicious lobster cream sauce that complemented everything beautifully. The beverages were also delicious. I 100% recommend this place. read more

We arrived a few minutes early for our reservation. The hostess welcomed us in. It was a beautiful day, we had the option of seating outside or in. I asked our waitress Keisha for her opinion on which dish to choose. I got the chicken wings and pancakes!! It was delightful! The other entrees we tried were Berry Berry French Toast and the Ultimate Oatmeal! Everything was 10/10! If you're staying near the airport or in the southwest Atlanta area and searching for a solid breakfast spot, Breakfast Boys is the place to be. Parking can be a bit dicey, but once you get past that hurdle, you're in for a truly delightful dining experience. Our server, Mya, absolutely elevated the visit with her warm, bubbly personality. The rest of the staff was just as welcoming, making the atmosphere feel inviting from start to finish. Mya offered great recommendations for both food and drinks, and every suggestion was a hit. We ordered the salmon egg rolls, jerk chicken & sweet potato waffles, crispy catfish, shrimp & grits, and topped it off with a rum punch. Everything was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection--no misses at all. This spot definitely lived up to the hype, and I'll absolutely be back. read more

I think today was my 4th time at The Breakfast Boys and today I made sure to provide a review BEFORE eating all of my food! My husband and I, together with another couple made a last minute decision to go to the BBs. I was afraid that we'd not get in but we were able to get a table at our desired time. Pleased to say that we were seated within 4 minutes of our reservation and greeted by a nice server, Cailin. We had the delicious fried green tomatoes (no pics), coffee and mimosas. Everything was perfect. Our mains consisted of the Salmon hash for me and the crispy catfish, shrimp and grits for my husband. Everything was seasoned perfectly and the portions were large. I've known about The Breakfast Boys for quite a while but never made the trek out to College Park because, well, anyone who lives in metro Atlanta knows how traffic can turn a few miles into a half-day journey. But one Sunday after church, I finally decided to go for it, especially since I was craving a solid breakfast or brunch spot that really stood out. What drew me in was their French toast--it looked absolutely delicious in the photos, and I'm pretty picky about French toast. A lot of places just don't get the custard ratio right or serve it dry and unappealing. But theirs looked fantastic, so I ordered it along with an oatmeal bowl and their shrimp and grits with catfish, which seemed to be a top seller. Now, the parking situation wasn't ideal--there wasn't much of it, so I ended up parking on a residential street since I was just doing a quick pickup. Once I got home, the experience turned into a bit of a mixed bag. On the positive side, the French toast itself was absolutely amazing--definitely worth trying again. But it was supposed to be a berry French toast, and I was really disappointed to find that the "berries" consisted of just two blueberries and half a strawberry. The whipped cream portion was also tiny--it looked like a nickel sized amount of spittle--and had melted into basically nothing by the time I got it. Given that I make whipped cream myself often, I know it shouldn't vanish that fast. So that was a letdown. The oatmeal bowl was also watery and not as satisfying as I'd hoped. And while the shrimp and grits with catfish tasted good, something in the meal didn't sit right with my stomach afterward. To top it off, when I called the restaurant to ask about the portion sizes of the berries and whipped cream, I was put on hold for about 7 minutes, so they could ask about it and eventually someone came back, didn't say anything for about a minute before hanging up. No one picked up when I tried calling back the 2 times I dialed out, which was pretty frustrating. All in all, the flavors were there, and I might give them another shot by dining in to see if the experience improves. But my first visit was a bit of a rollercoaster--some highs with that delicious French toast, and some lows with the service and consistency. read more

I've been two days in a row and every time the service the atmosphere and THE FOOD have been amazing. First time I got the catfish shrimp and grits and a sweet potato waffle and today I got the catfish, eggs and grits. Makes me want to move here. First time I had Jasmine as a server and today I had Mariah. Lovely women with great service the energy in the space felt electric and like home simultaneously. I always enjoy The Breakfast Boys! A very busy brunch spot with amazing service and even better food. I've been many times since they've opened and never had a bad experience. My favorite meal is the Salmon Hash Skillet and I order it with a side of the lobster sauce. Really takes it up a notch. The fried chicken with pancakes is good as well. My favorite drink is the peach iced tea. The menu has something for everyone even pescatarian and vegetarian options. They have an upstairs and downstairs seating area. Upstairs is pretty tight but downstairs there's more room. My last visit the downstairs area smelled like cigars. Not sure what that was about. I always book through Yelp so we don't have to wait as long to be seated. You can tell from my pics what my favorite order is lol. read more

We picked this place because it was near the airport and perfect for a quick brunch while waiting for our friend's layover. We didn't have a reservation, but we were seated right away. The restaurant has two floors, and we were seated in the underground area. It's a pretty space with a cozy vibe. We hadn't looked at the menu beforehand, so all the options were a surprise. Our server recommended some best sellers and gave us time to decide. I ordered the Jerk Chicken and Sweet Potato Waffles, and my friends ordered the Steak and Eggs and the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese sandwich. The food took about 10-15 minutes to arrive. The sweet potato waffles were outstanding! I didn't love the sauce that came with them, though. The jerk chicken was juicy, flavorful, and had a crispy skin. The portion was huge (too much for me) so I took some home. Honestly, I would have been fine with just the waffles and some scrambled eggs instead of the full meal. I wish they offered that as an option. The portion size is definitely big enough to share. Parking was a bit annoying. The jerk chicken and sweet potato waffles were absolutely delicious the perfect mix of sweet and savory. The fried chicken and pancakes were cooked perfectly, and the salmon egg rolls were to die for. Service was amazing friendly, attentive, and fast. The space itself was super cute and had such a warm, creative vibe. Definitely a spot I'd come back to for both the food and the atmosphere. read more

VERY good!! I got simple bacon, eggs and grits and everything was delicious. Very attentive wait staff. You could tell everything was fresh and delicious. From what I remember, their parking lot is limited so I ended up street parking.
I drive by often and see a lot of folks outside standing, if you do not make reservations, how long is the wait generally to be seated?
Use the waitlist status that's available on yelp! It's super helpful so you can get on the waitlist before arriving! They'll text you when your table is ready!
