Visiting from Florida and this place did not disappoint. Food was great, staff was kind, and ambiance was relaxed and easy going.

    I love this place already

Boxcar is a fab staple for me. It was my bro's first time going so of course I picked the location. Parking was available in the lot out front and they have a scan code at the front desk for parking. It was free for the first two hours. This spot is literally right off of the beltline and is a sight to see. The food is AMAZING. We opted for cocktails and beer, Brussels sprouts and the balsamic glaze TOP TIER. my brother doesn't eat meat and he was thrilled to see awesome choices available to him on the menu. So I got to enjoy the best of both worlds, veggies anddddd my meats lol. I ordered the shank and potatoes with veggies like zucchini and it was DELICIOUS. He's head over heels and we are going back for another friend link to boxcar soon soon! The setup is nice and quaint with a full bar and friendly staff. They have a bar right underneath the restaurant as well to partake!

Groovy warehouse district turned brewery district, right on the south side beltline. Dont worry about space, they got plenty. Next door is a food hall if you can't find a choice at boxcar. The staff is super nice and ready to help!

Does this look like a $15 burger and $6 fries? For $21, go elsewhere.

I've eaten here twice now, which I feel is enough to review it fairly. I will be honest, I don't come here for the food, I come here for Hop City, I like trying different craft beers. I came here one Saturday afternoon, ordered a beer flight and the pretzel bites with "homemade cheese" because I was starving...uhhh yeah, not very good. They tasted like they were frozen and then defrosted. Barely any salt. Cheese was weird, just not good. Second time I came on a Saturday night. I ordered "the heatwave" burger...Beef patty pepper jack, smoked jerk bbq, roasted jalapenos, sugar-cured bacon, bibb lettuce, tomato, shaved onion, toasted potato bun, jerk sauce omitted. It was really good, for sure. But a $15 burger should come with fries. An extra $6 for fries with my burger?!?! Nah, now you're insane. Atmosphere is a good vibe. Service is great. Overpriced for the food? Forget it. I can get better food for less, elsewhere.

Boxcar is one of those places that gets it right -- almost every time. The food is consistently good, the service is friendly and attentive, and the drinks? They've got some fun, creative twists that make them stand out from your usual bar fare. One of my favorite things about Boxcar is the free parking -- a rare and beautiful thing in Atlanta. Plus, the location is a win: it's right by other great entertainment options, so it's easy to make a full night of it. Whether you're grabbing dinner, meeting friends for drinks, or just kicking back on the patio, Boxcar is always a solid choice in the West End.

Came for Sunday brunch/lunch after church! Was very quick service! Had the Buffalo Mac (not pictured) as an appetizer and it was great! I thoroughly enjoyed my salad and the fried okra! All the meals were very appetizing the playlist being played was great and the ambiance was very chill and friendly would definitely be back!

I took a gamble on whether tomato, cheese watermelon, and mint should be combined. I ordered it from the selections of salads and don't add any meat. Boy did that gamble pay off. The plate is crunchy, juicy, sweet, and tangy. It comes with balsamic dressing and mint. Add the mint in small bits it can be overpowering. As a side I also ordered 5 jerk BBQ wings. Not as crispy as I wanted but tasty and a good pairing. For $23 I'll get the same combo again and try another wing flavor. The exterior patio is small and looks out onto a parking lot. But in great weather a patio is always a plus. I can't speak to service from the waiters because I didn't dine in. The to go process however was easy.

One of my favorite places on the west side beltline! I don't eat beef or pork so finding a good chili is tough. But their turkey chili is delicious! Good drinks too. Large assortment of beer, wines, and cocktails. Great service for all the staff. I came here on a Thursday for a fun wine tasting & then came on game day Sunday. They had the games playing and it wasn't crowded or rowdy. Good to come with friends or come sit at the bar. 10/10

I might be a little late discovering this spot--was texting a friend about the restaurant and the area, and he let me know it's actually been here for about three years... go figure! Boxcar is located in the West End near the AUC. Just exit off Lowery Blvd, take a left, and keep going until you hit the newly paved Beltline on White Street. I was genuinely surprised by all the new development and branding in the area. After dining, I took a quick 10-minute drive around and noticed a ton of new apartments and mixed-use developments, many of them right on the Beltline or just a short walk away. This neighborhood definitely feels like it's on track to become the next Old Fourth Ward in the next 5-7 years. As for Boxcar itself--an easy 5 stars. It has a great vibe and feels like it could be the Westside's answer to New Realm. There's a spacious patio, several areas that look ideal for private events, and a solid menu of elevated bar food. Think huge chicken tenders, stacked burgers, a flavorful tequila flight, and a wide selection of beers. The service was great, and the atmosphere was relaxed but lively--definitely a place I'd recommend checking out if you're exploring the Beltline.

I ordered my food on 9-24-2025 through Uber Eats. I got something for dinner and breakfast. I got the fish and fries with hush puppies for dinner. I got the greens and mashed potatoes with beef short ribs for breakfast. The food tasted good.. They did a great job on cooking it. The food was delicious.. Pull up to check them out. Oh the strawberry peach cobbler is bussing!

The prices are a bit high - about $4-5 for a small pour (my guess for red is about 2 oz), ~$9 for a medium pour, and ~$18 for a glass. It's a great concept though where you can try what you want but it can get pricey quick. They have different food options as well, including salads, sandwiches, and charcuterie boards. Unfortunately, the service brought your score down. We had a reservation for dinner and the young lady who initially met us, did not even ask us this. She greeted us with, "we have an event going on, so seating is tight." OK - Well I have reservation. That seemed to help her find us a table. When she sat us, she handed us one menu for my wife and I. No wine list, (at a wine market) and no introduction. After 5-6 minutes, our server came out and said hello, but did not bring water or the wine list still. But, she did inform us again about the event going on. WE know restaurants are busy on weekends and even more so in the holiday season, but the constant reminders of "The event" does two things, one the servers are creating an excuse to say, you are going to receive slow service, and two, it felt like, how dare we show up during an event night. Finally on our servers 2nd visit, we were able to receive a second menu and the wine list. We ordered the 6 piece charcuterie and two glasses of wine. The server who made the charcuterie board, was very pleasant and proud of her creation, and rightfully so, the board was beautiful and delicious. We enjoyed our wine choice and decided to buy a bottle, our server, had zero wine experience. She did not present the bottle to me, (I have the wrong bottles brought out on a few occasions, and this is just a common courtesy) she uncorked the bottle, did not present the cork, she poured from the bottle into glasses that already had wine, granted we ordered the same wine, but at a wine market with a big event, maybe two new glasses should have been brought out, just in case. Then after she poured our glasses, she DROPPED the cork on the floor, picks it up and sticks in our bottle. Do your servers do that with silverware? Then she began to walk away with our bottle, I asked her to please leave the bottle on the table. She was seemed like that was an odd request. Overall, if we could give half stars, I would say 3.5 for the review, it was saved by your charcuterie server, as well as the taste and quality of the meats and cheeses, as well as the wonderful selection of wines. We will be back and hopefully, you take these comments constructively, and have your servers trained up a little more to be assets to your establishment.

The vegetable paella was also filling and wonderful! We ended our meal with the toffee butter cake which was an absolute dream. We look forward to coming back for more!

Paired with a delicious chimichurri sauce. The chicken thigh was tender and juicy with a lovely sauce. The potatoes bravas were well cooked and the creamy sauce helped finish the experience. The chef personally came over to talk about one of the dishes I ordered and went out of his way to make the dish happen. The service is also top notch, would def come here again!!

As I was visiting on a weekday evening, I didn't expect it to be too crowded but boy, was I wrong. The crowd was out and about! Even so, I was quickly seated at a table on the patio so that I could take in the great weather during my visit. The vibes were perfect for a little drink! I was warmly greeted by the team with a glass of water and the necessary menus. I decided to go with a glass of Syrah to start off and it was so smooth, I decided to go for another glass. I wasn't too hungry but knew I wanted a bite so I decided to go for the mussels. You can never go wrong with mussels! They came out hot, buttery and paired with a crusty piece of bread. They were delicious! And the bread was perfect for soaking up the broth. I ended my meal with the olive oil cake, although I was so bummed that they didn't have anymore ice cream to pair it with. All in all, another lovely experience.
