After visiting a nearby business and days and days and daeaaaays of rain I basically can't see outside my window even after squeegee washing my windows...it was time. Poof I see a self serve car wash called "isle wash" right beside Aloha Island Mart and decided to give it a try, no lines no fuss just me and my ride lol! With three types of wash to choose from I just chose the cheapest at $13 was still a bit high for a self serve I thought but I'm not doing this in the hot sun so here we go! Yes it's the basic wash all with a touch of a button and credit card the process was fast and easy. Did it get all my grimy dirt off my ride...yup but not all the water...infact that was the worse part and is a good thing I do carry a microfiber towel at all times so I pulled into a nearby parking lot and towel dried my car top to bottom...I probably should've gone on the freeway fast lane then have done that lol!! Though I do love the convenience and it did what I needed to get done. Thank you!

Unfortunately, I had to leave after waiting over an hour I could not wait another hour. 2 hours for a safety is quite slow considering. I returned to my usual spot (in waipahu), had the same amount of cars in front of me and got seen within 45 min.

Sketchy Af Meter (6/10) area is not in that good of an area and I would get weary with kids and at night here as lots of people just standing around outside doing who knows what. Walked in and a few customers were swearing out loud and arguing about something loud and long enough to make you wanna leave and go elsewhere. Ppl think Ethanol gas is less expensive than real gas. Completely not true in more ways than one. I once drove an Ethanol gas-consuming vehicle and let me tell you, it was not a pretty sight. When the vehicle was first new, we filled with regular gas and it worked just fine but soon after ethanol gas became available is when that same vehicle broke down often and engine ran rough like it was grinding away it's short life! So not good! Why?! Because of the Ethanol gas! Ethanol gas contains that additive so is not pure gas! If not yet, the ethanol will eventually do bad things to you car's engine! :( Ethanol-free gas is more efficient and cleaner burning. It may seem like it costs a bit more but the gas mileage you will see will be well worth the price. It will make your car drive more miles = better gas mileage! Hey, if you're half Chinese like me, this matters! Hehe :) Well, if you're not sure, give it a try. No doubt that you will definitely see improved gas mileage pretty instantaneously! :) --- SELF-SERVICE -- As for the service? This is a self-service gas station. You pay at the pump or inside the station kiosk. The attendants usually found inside the kiosk are always very nice and pleasant. CASH = DEBIT = 8¢/gal DISCOUNT -- If you pay cash or use your debit card as cash (you have to let them know you want to use your card as debit), you will receive a discount per gallon. When using your debit card, you will have to guess how much gas you'll need in terms of dollars, pay that amount, then go back into the kiosk for your change if you don't use the entire allotment: - With prices now about $3.05/gal, I usually get $50 to fill my four-door sedan tank. - If you pay cash or by debit, be sure to go back inside the kiosk to get a receipt for your exact purchase. WINDOW WASHING SUPPLIES - If you are needing window washing/wiping accessories (wiping towels, soapy water, and squeegee), find the the dark grey towers located between the gas pumps that double as trash cans. TIRE AIR & WINDOW WASHER WATER EQUIPMENT -- I have never used this equipment but it's on the side of the station nearest Zippy's Waipio (next door). I believe there is a charge to use the equipment but I am not aware of the pricing so I cannot post it here.

You will be treated respectfully and the estimate you receive is more than fair. Your vehicle will be repaired, serviced and maintained to the utmost standards plus most if not all of your questions and requests will be met with a willingness to help and compassion during the stressful period when you have car issues. Repairs are done during the week and mostly safety checks on weekends. My apologies for not posting a review years ago and if I had to recommend a reputable, honest and customer friendly business, this is it! Ed! Went here for a safety check…read more I am very meticulous & careful with my vehicle so when my brake light didn't come on I was confused. Ed took the time to see why it wasn't working correctly & I had shared with him that earlier in the day I had removed my spare. He noticed the wires weren't connected properly (from the place I just left) allowed me to reconnect so I wouldn't "fail" inspection & have to take another day to come back to redo it. So grateful to Ed! I get free safety checks thru the dealership but to me it's worth paying to get in & out instead of having to drop off my vehicle for the day. Totally worth the extra low cost. Review for Safety Check only -…read more The shop opens at 7am and it is a very popular location to get your safety done. My suggestion, if you're in a hurry in the morning, you're better off coming at 530am to be at the front of the line. I arrived at around 630am and I was the 5th car in line waiting. I waited till about 845am before it was my turn. So if you're thinking it'll go by quickly...it does not. So dedicating a good portion of your early morning to get your safety check done is a must. There's only one guy who's able to do the safety checks so being patient will go a long way. I believe the only days they don't do safety checks are Wednesday's and Sunday's. As long as that one uncle is in working, they're able to do it. Been going to this location for years and have no complaints about this specific service. $26 and they take both cash and card. Also please be aware of the curb in front of Hi Runner's next to Oil Changers. I seen a few people drive over it and scrape the underneath of their car lol.
