Dr Shay is amazing. I've lived with back pain and discomfort for too many years of my young adult life. Most of my nights end with discomfort and most of my mornings begin with pain. Hands down the best chiropractic treatment I have ever received! I have multiple issues which include a tingling lower back sensation, tight shoulders, wrist and hand pain from carpal tunnel syndrome and nerve entrapment, and numbness on my heels. Dr. Shay was incredibly helpful in discovering and treating all of the above. After 2 appointments with Dr. Shay, he's already blown me away with his transparent and thoughtful approach. I've received chiropractic treatment before, but what separates Dr. Shay's practice from others is his thoroughness in finding any potential issues, his willingness to explain everything that's easy to understand from a patient perspective, and his post-treatment recommendations. The 1st appointment was a 1-hour discovery session where Dr. Shay performed tests to find any potential serious issues on my body. He explains every tests he's doing and answers any questions I may have along the way. After he eliminated any potential serious issues I may have, he started to ask questions on what exactly has been bothering me. I pinpointed my lower back, shoulders, fore arms and wrists. He immediately had me do mobility exercises with my neck, arms, back and shoulders. He found that I had underused muscles, tenseness in certain areas, and recommended exercises and stretches that I can do after the appointment. The 2nd appointment was a 45-minute follow-up, meaning that Dr. Shay was checking on everything he diligently noted down from the initial appointment. After asking me questions regarding how my body was feeling, Dr. Shay immediately went to work on all the areas that were still bothering me. He was just as thorough and descriptive with his explanations as he was during our 1st appointment. He gave me more helpful tips on how to take better care of my body, including additional ways on how to handle the nerve issues I was having on my wrist, hand, and arm. My TMJ issues were harming not only me but my confidence in whether I will be able to eat, talk, and do other such acts without pain ever in my life. I can't recommend Dr. Johnathan Shay's approach and expertise to chiropractic care enough! Had my initial examination appt with Dr. Shay & he was very patient & took his time to assess what kind of treatment I needed. Not only did he release a lot of tension in my back after the adjustment, but he helped with my knee that his been aching for quite some time. He mentioned that one of my legs are shorter than the other, so I have been adding weight to that leg & applying pressure. Once he adjusted my hips, my knee hasn't been aching as much.
