A friend recommended Smith's based on their 5 star rating on google and the A+BBB rating. I read the reviews and checked out their website. I called and Amber was extremely nice and helpful in getting me setup for an appointment. She even gave me a number to send the video of the leak I had. My appointment was the next afternoon. The next day Amber had texted to let me know that if it rained the technician would reschedule since it would be difficult to find a leak in the rain but that the technician would let me know. However the rain held off and I received a text that the technician was on his way. The text had a picture along with the name of who was coming. That is something I liked and really felt stood out with customer service. The technician Joe arrived extremely nice guy down to earth very professional. He got right to the job and literally within 15 minutes checked out what was going on. He gave me the estimate-and military discount. I was ready to schedule for the service to see when they could do it. I pulled my calendar out and Joe was like are you going to be here and I said yes and he said ok I'll go get my tools. Lol! I was like this is great I had no idea he had time to take care of it today. It was perfect. Joe got to work and I mean this guy worked! He got the job done and made sure everything worked ok. Found the problem, fixed it better than before with better parts. He made sure that the work he did I was happy with and I'm telling you the service from this company from the first phone call to Amber to meeting Joe was "Top of the Line" excellent service! I think John did a good job, communicated well, and had a professionalism that I appreciate. On another point - heads up that there are Lead Generation companies that post to fake listings in Yelp, GMaps, and elsewhere that use the names of real companies (like Magnolia). It's infuriating to call such clowns and find out they are not the company presented but an organization that will send the work to a clown working out of the back of a dilapidated heap. Research, double check on different platforms to verify the business, phone numbers, and photos are not generic facsimiles.

I called this company out to inspect my bonus room and give a quote on adding insulation. I was told they would send an estimate after they inspected. I never received an estimate and instead received an invoice for the inspection. I was never told about the inspection charge prior to them inspecting my house. I'm well aware that some companies charge for inspections and some don't. The problem here is I was never told about the charge until over a month later when I received the invoice. This should have been communicated before the appointment. By law it should gave been communicated before the appointment. I called to speak with the Manager "Patrick" and he was very rude in his tone and hung up the phone in my face. This is not a company that I would recommend to anyone. I definitely wouldn't want anyone with his temperament in my home.

Do not use Tim Ferguson for any Generac/Generator servicing. Used them for a general service and…read moretake care of a simple error code. The tech changed the oil and serviced the generator but did it before fixing the error and then proceeded to not be able to clear the error. Therefore the oil couldn't cycle through to prevent further damage because the engine wouldn't crank. Supposedly the service manager couldn't troubleshoot either or they just wanted to charge me $200/hr for diagnostics and the error which they thought was the control board. I do not know if they didn't know how to fix or if they just wanted to charge me more money. Simple google search said change the battery and I did that myself and generator cranked and no issues. Was trying to find a reputable company so I don't have to maintain it myself but Tim Ferguson is not that company. Very disappointing given their supposedly good reputation.
