I understand that the inspection agreement focuses on safety and structural concerns, and that cosmetic items may fall outside the primary scope. Still, as a homeowner I had expected those visible issues to be documented so they could be addressed sooner. He did not understand the unique nails at shingle above the gutters (they are epoxied ribbed nails). He also was creepy and took pictures of our interior and bedrooms. Upon delivery of the inspection, the owners hired licensed contractors in each field to come deal with all of the issues on the report that Vance had listed. 9 out of 10 items were NOT issues at all. As the owners continued to hire professionals to come in and deal with items on the list, they paid professionals to chase ghosts. I will do everything to AVOID using Building Specs Hawaii in the future. So awful
