Don't you just love the smell of Ace Hardware stores?? It reminds me of the smell of the old mom-and-pop hardware store I used to go to with my old man back home. I swear they must spread sawdust and axle grease around so the place smells the part. Anyhow, this is a great store - on the smaller side but certainly PACKED with all kinds of stuff you'll need. I had trouble finding some wire but a guy working there helped me find it real quick. Good store and I'm glad it's here in this location for when I need something! read more

I called to ask about a sawhorse that I wanted to order online and pick it up at this location. I got put on hold 4 times. I sat on hold for 30 minutes, yes 30 minutes! I'm pretty annoyed in the lack of customer service. If anyone could find out if the Fulton Folding Steel Sawhorse Item #2092005 comes in a set of 2 or sold individually that would be great. I'll drive to a store farther away to pick it up. The staff here doesn't seem to know anything or care to help. read more

Do NOT rent from them!!! We were given a chainsaw that couldn't be used at all and they still charged us full price. We were on the phone with them and returned to the store trying to get it started. No luck. When we questioned the charge, we were told 'that's store policy.' No phone calls or emails to the store were returned. We have shopped there ever since the store opened, too. Ok - so I DO like this place...charming neighborhood locale, everything a hardware store should stock and more, mostly helpful floor salespeople...so there are good things and because of that we spend a lot of disposable income there vs. the bland, corporate offerings from Lowes or Home Depot. I am giving a low rating because of a recent negative experience related to a very simple job (sharpening mower blades) that was completely botched and unfortunately illustrated the inefficiency of their operation. I will go there again for items and assistance, but If there were other competitive hardware stores within a 5 mile drive, I would give up the neighborhood convenience for a hope of proficiency....... read more

Manager should be fired! I went in to make a purchase at 7:30pm on Monday night July 22nd. The item I wanted seemed like a good price so I proceeded to the counter to make the purchase. The item rang up 4 times higher on the price. I kindly let them know this was incorrect and it is marked different on the shelf with the rest of them. They said they would check on it, but instead they pulled the stickers off the shelf and re-priced them. Then they lied to us and said it is marked correctly on the shelf and essentially called us liars. It was ridiculous. Even if there is a pricing mistake made, standard customer service is to honor the marked price. When I asked to speak with the manager, they said that he wasn't available. read more

Jabo's consistently meets all of my hardware needs without the overwhelming size of the big box chains (which I also enjoy, by the way). What I really appreciate about Jabo's is they are always properly staffed with friendly and knowledgeable people who greet you as you enter and are more than happy to help. This is a store I would frequently visit as my wife and I improved our first home. We have easily spent over a 1000 dollars over the last year as we tackled a variety of different projects in our home. However, I will no longer be giving this store my business. The recent experience with this store's manager was severe enough to erase months of loyalty to this location. To make a long story short this store messed up my specific paint request and managers could not be less interested to help assuage the situation. One of the main managers. "Deb" even suggested that I was trying to scam free paint. She thought this until she looked up my rewards account, and quickly changed her tune after seeing the multiple purchases we have made. Nonetheless, I will not give money to a business with managers that do not care and insult their customers. I hope others do not have encounters with Deb or an Assistant Manager named Brian. They simply do not care about their jobs or their store's customers. read more

Love this store! So friendly and helpful when you need advice. Try to find that at Lowes!! Also have a section where they have great home decor, women's clothing ( very Texan), jewelry, etc. you will find unique things here you won't find anywhere else. read more

Gosh I love this store. What makes it great is the team inside. Everyone is wonderful, passionate and out of the way helpful. I cannot tell you how many times a team member walked out to my car to see what I was working on and provide help. Pathetic. I went in to use the post office to send my mails and I had to wait for more than 10 minutes while the employees just did there stuff and walked around. Please save your self time and go send your mIls on the real post office if you don't want to wait. They employees seemed unhappy with their jobs! read more

Do not purchase Stihl lawn and garden tools from this Jabo's Ace Hardware! I purchased a trimmer less than seven months ago and the cord broke. Rather than fix it myself I took it in since it was under warranty. Huge mistake!! It will be three weeks before I can get it back. Warranty work is supposed to take priority! I even spoke with the person in charge of repairing the Stihl tools a week ago and he said it would get it done that day or the next. Seven days later they are still telling me next week. I have had cheap trimmers from Home Depot last longer and do not think Jabo's service is better since you are paying higher prices. Lowes and Home Depot service are much better! read more
