Took a pair of jeans needed the belt loop mended and a small hole in a men's lululemon shirt. Had to send the jeans back for a second round and they still couldn't get it right. My intuition said to not let them do the shirt and second guessed myself. As you can see in the photos the stitching is terrible on the jeans and a heavy patch was sewn on the shirt. This is a training issue. Do NOT allow them to mend anything for you. I have seen good work and this is not it. Shame on management and the ownership for not taking better care of their staff who are trying to service customers. When leadership is off the whole system is as well. I'm sure whoever is doing their seeing would welcome better skill. So needless to say I refused to pay for the garments and am disputing the original charge on my card for the jeans. They can deal with the credit card company on that one. Again, shame on management for not doing a better job as leaders. read more

Lost my items for a few days. I was understanding never lost my temper used profanity raised my voice etc...explained I was frustrated but understood things happen. They did the right thing not charging me for the service when they found them. When I showed up to retrieve them the manager literally said nothing no apology etc..which was the same attitude he had when I showed up to pick them up 2 different times when I expected they'd be there. Like it was my fault and I'm in the wrong that they couldn't find my shirts. He said they would reimburse me if they were lost which I said I appreciate. I told them each shirt was custom made and $150 each not just off a rack he replied "we've lost way more expensive stuff then that ". I wasn't trying to brag just making point I simply couldn't just run to dillards and replace. Mind you the manager knows me I've been going there 16 years never once complained never had an issue and I'm not one to lost yelp reviews but based on the attitude and then when I contacted the manager after my experience to let him know I was disappointed in how I was treated he basically told me to kick rocks. It's a shame I'm normally one to give multiple chances cause I understand things happen but the blatant disrespect but the manager all while this was happening along with him doubling down via text when I gave him a chance to apologize I'm sorry. I've only been there once, for tailor service. It was quickly obvious that the person did not want to have to take a tailoring order as his first response was "we don't do that on-site, so it's going to take at least a week." The reason I went there was because they advertise that they do these services onsite. But if the person didn't want to take the business I wasn't willing to risk the quality of the work. I received back and looked as if someone washed it and rolled around in it. I only wore new sweater for two hours before having dry cleaned. It had severe pilling. By severe pulling I mean all over sweater. Sleeves and front and back. I have never encountered this from any other dry cleaning with clothing from this vendor. Not only were they not willing to accept any responsibility but they were extremely rude. I don't know about you but I work 7 days a week. 10 plus hours a day. I want to compliment Jack Brown cleaners for hiring manager Tim Alvarez at the Lakeway store at 1508 RR 620. Tim has treated me with total professionalism for a number of years. This guy always answers my drive up with a great attitude and willingness to help; every time. A month ago a sweater went missing. Tim went out of his way to hunt it down and recover. When he could not he essentially demanded I get reimbursed for my loss. He would not take no for an answer. Now Jack Brown has me for life. This location is awesome and I'm blown away it has anything less than 5 stars. Almost immediately Tim, who must be the owner, remembered who I was and all I had to do was pull up and he'd bring my clothes right out. Took 3 items there, 1 was pants that needed to be hemmed, 1 was a shirt that needed cleaning with a small stain on it and the other was a shirt that needed a snap button on the arm where the sleeves get rolled up. When my husband dropped it off, he was told he would be able to get all that back in 2-3 days. He called 3 days later and was told the pants would not be done and they normally take a week, but they could not read the measurements or call him because whoever originally took them did not write them down. Then when I went to pick up the rest of the stuff, it was $19 for 2 items? The shirt still had the stain. They told me to take the white linen shirt home and bleach it. When I got home, I took my shirt out that needed the snap and that was not done at all and they dry cleaned it. Not what I needed done at all. I wrote them on the website when I got home saying how I was disappointed with the fact the pants were not done and my shirt was not what I asked for but they could not get in touch with us since they wrote it too messy and the paying for things I did not want done and it was incorrect and never heard back. I guess customer service is not important to them. I will never go to any jack brown because of this. read more

I bought my husband a long coat from Old Navy $60. Took to JB to have sleeves and hem taken up one cuff length. No, I did not ask a price, my fault but I figured maybe $20-30. I love this cleaners! My husband travels a lot for business so I am always getting his dress pants and shirts cleaned here. When we first moved to Lakeway I tried other (cheaper) cleaners and they never delivered. It was always a hassle to get the clothes back the same day, the starch was never correct, mysterious stains showed up. Not at Jack Brown! Tim is awesome, he knows not only my car, but also my husbands car. When I pull into the drive he meets me with my clothes and makes "going to the dry cleaners" a really quick trip. Tim, who seems to be there almost 24/7, is awesome! Super customer service. Cleaning services is nothing outstanding, but nothing bad either. Clothes were never lost at this location (Lakeway), and if there was an issue (such as too much starch), Tim was on top of it. Complete opposite from the 6990 Bee Caves Rd location, where they lose your clothing and the manager is rude and she argues with the customer rather than trying to fix the problem. read more

I asked that they re-do an item that came back dirty and wrinkled and this time it came back RUINED. A brand new, expensive item. I took clothing to this cleaner three times. The first was extremely courteous and a good experience because I was being "signed up" for their services going forward. The second time, I thought their pricing was a little higher than I was used to but they had done a decent job, so I went a third time. Amongst my clothes for cleaning were about 10 of my husband's Tommy Bahama shirts, 6 of which say "do not dry clean" on the tag. When I dropped off, I requested that they be laundered and pressed and I had coupons for a discount. When I picked them up, they had dry cleaned everything and charged from $8-$10 for each of the TB shirts (which I get on clearance for about $50)! When I asked why, the man said "they have a policy to dry clean every TB shirt and they are not eligible for discounts. That is the price to clean them because they are $200 shirts" Not only is this a ridiculous rip off but I was never informed of this when I dropped off or during the time I waited for my cleaning to be ready (they send text alerts) I told him I would not be returning and he promptly said "Ok! I will take you out of the system right now". Absolutely not worth our hard earned dollars to support a business like this in Lakeway. Shame on them! read more

Dropped off a simple embroidered Mexican style dress at the Lakeway location yesterday to get cleaned. Mentioned to Tim (the manager) that I thought the price to have dress cleaned was high and told him that they had not done a good job pressing the dress that last time and asked him to please make sure that they did a great job this time, especially since it costs $16 to clean and press the dress. Picked it up this afternoon and came right home to put dress in hanging bag to take on vacation tomorrow and when I took it out of the plastic I saw that the pressing job was terrible again and this time they also damaged the fabric with the presser. Called the location and Tim proceeded to tell me that he remembered that "i was in a bad mood when I dropped the dress off yesterday" and implied that I was calling not because of the terrible pressing job, but because I did not want to pay for the dress. I did engage with him verbally for a minute and when I asked him to let me finish my thought he actually just hung up on me. Tried to call corporate offices to complain and their voice mail stated that if I had a problem with any store to take it up with the store. Well...anyway tried to leave a voice mail with owner Paul Brown but his mail box full. I feel it"s my civic duty to warn my neighbors about this business. They don't do good work, they are very expensive and the manager literally yells at customers who complain....Reids her I come! read more

If I could rate 0 star I would rate the service at this location to a 0 star. I was regular at this store for almost 3 years and recently I found one of the coat was still dirty after the dry clean so I resent it back . After the second dry clean, the coat was damaged and they sent it for a fix and promised me I wouldl get the money back if I was not happy with the fix. During the whole month period, no one called me or anything and I had to go to store 7 times and finally got my coat back. The fix was not complete but the owner refused to pay me back the coat money and ever worse, they refused to give me back the dry clean service money. So I spent 20 dollars to ask them destroy my $400 dollar coat?! Ridiculously service! read more

We drive from Steiner for the great service at the JB Lakeway location. Super easy drop off from your car which I love! Tim helps us every time. He knows your name and is always helpful. Tried lots of other cleaners and even JB's other locations but no one touched the customer service you receive here.
