I drive 30 minutes to utilize this incredible tailor service! I am quite short so most things have to be tailored. I will note, Allie's is quite expensive but very worth it! With Allie's, I trust them so much that I often take it a couple steps further and have them alter my garments to make them customized. Example: I didn't like the way that the neck of a jumpsuit clasped so I had them create an entirely new design utilizing fabric that was cut away from another part of the garment. And they nailed it! I also had a bridesmaid dress that swallowed me and they were able to do all of my requested enhancements to make this dress PERFECT for me. They also saved my butt one time when I was supposed to pick up a bunch of items for my partner's tour. I completely forgot until after business hours and in a panic I just showed up and started knocking. Someone kindly answered, checked me out, and sent me away with perfectly tailored clothing. They ruined my $850 wedding dress, 3 weeks before my wedding. Shame on me for not looking over their work when I was there. I went in for a SIMPLE ask, just reinforce the hem. I did not ask them to modify my dress. You'll see in the photos below, the left is how my dress should sit. The middle is completely messed up. So much so, that now it bulges out when I put it on. The worst part... it wasn't even something that NEEDED to be done. The back needed a small stitch but I asked for the whole thing. I am now kicking myself for even bringing it in. It was perfect the way it was. They also hung my dress up by the sleeves rather than the hangers inside the dress (who does that?!), which cause my beautiful French lace to start stretching and fraying. I had put it on the hanger with the strings. Just keep it that way, please. 10 days before my wedding, I took it out to air. And then saw this. We brought in a brand new specific New Year's Eve outfit for some minor alterations. It was completely ruined. We tried several times to have a conversation with the owner to absolutely no avail. We then disputed their charge with our credit card company not only for the horrendous work that was done but to at least cover some portion of the outfits cost, instead of being out way more than double the money. It appears at this point they are fighting the dispute. We have numerous pictures of the damage they did and have forwarded it to our credit card company. I will never ever consider any future business with them and would offer extreme caution to anyone else considering them for alteration work. On the table were two pairs of men's Faherty canvas stretch pants and two pairs of men's Theory performance fabric pants. The Faherty pants were $176 each, and that's what I paid for them. The Theory pants were $200 each and while I did not pay that much for them, they were still pretty expensive. All four pants needed hems, one of the Faherty pants needed to be tapered and both of the Faherty pants I kept the *original* hems (because they were distressed and I didn't want to lose that cool detail). Thank goodness, both of the Theory pants came out as expected, but they were straight hems in very basic thread colors, probably anyone could've done this job. Both of the stretch canvas pants had issues. One pair the thread color didn't match even a little bit and the hemline was a little wobbly. The other pair they matched the threads pretty well but the hemline was super wobbly, I joked that it looked like it was done on a boat. The gal at the front desk was very sympathetic, nice and friendly. She did offer to fix the pants (+ a star), but I didn't want them to chop them back up and re-sew them back again after they had already not done a great job. They charged me full price for all of the alterations even though half of them were done with issues. I didn't complain - mostly because I wanted to see if they'd own their mistake (nope). I'd maybe use this place again but I would definitely not bring high-stakes clothing here. The lack of attention to detail and the obviously inattentive work done to the hem tells me that they wouldn't be ready for a suit or a fancy dress or something like that. They offered $10 express turnaround and I took that option. Maybe they're better with more time? But if so, don't even offer an express option. I was skeptical to come here after I read the review of the man with the jacket buttons that they wouldn't replace (bee cave location - it's the same owners), which was pretty silly and comical review. I'm not totally done with this place but it's not five stars and they'd really have to go above and beyond to be 4-stars in this situation, like maybe not charge me $128 for hems that were poorly done. But alas. Here we are and here's a barely 3 stars for this place. Saving grace was that the gal at the desk was super nice and wanted to remedy the poorly done work. read more

I have a pair of pants that I have gave to Allie's, they where cut so short, you could call them peddle pushers with so little hem they can't be saved. Maybe I will have another tailor make them into shorts. My wife took in a couple of blouses to have the sleeves shortened. Fifty dollars later both blouses are over her knuckle. Couple this with what, at best, can be described as a disdainful attitude towards customers you have a place to be avoided at all overpriced cost. . read more

And I only had one week to get it made. They charged me a very small fee for rush order, measured me thoroughly, picked up the fabric (matching it perfectly to the type I was wearing), fitted me once again after the template was made, and had the shirt ontime/before I needed it. Comfortable fit, great stitching, great shape that held. Allie's made me exactly the shirt I wanted, based only on my verbal description and a few photoshopped images I brought with me. I first learned of Cesar through Dillards. A sport coat was missing a button. Cesar fixed it fast at a good price. Several years later I am still a happy camper. An old leather backpack worn out ripped and torn was resurrected. A favorite pair of leather work gloves saved from the trash. Cesar is a very nice gentleman who does excellent work at a fair price. I took my pants there to get zipper fixed. The first time I wore them, the zipper broke. I took them back to show them so they could fix again and they denied that they had fixed them, even though they had the receipt in hand that showed "replace with new zipper" and also had my money. I have used Cesar three times now and each time, I have been very pleased. The last time, he completely redid the bodice of my daughter's beaded and sequined prom dress. I was worried that the beading would not look the same. When we picked it up, you couldn't even tell it had been altered and it fit like a glove. It was perfect. I have had a horrible experience with Cesar and would not recommend him to anyone, anytime. Though Cesar seems to be a nice man and appears to be cordial and friendly, he does not know how to run a proper business and I feel very cheated and hoodwinked. I recently gave him a pair of very expensive (and sentimental -- my wedding suit!) pants that had a large rip in them. I knew that he would probably not be able to make them like new, but I thought I'd give it shot. Cesar took a look at the pants and offered to try and fix them. To be fair, he did say that he probably would not be able to completely repair them, but he would try to handsew a patch to make them a little better. I wasnt expecting much but when I did finally pick them up, not only was the rip only shoddily fixed, there was a huge glue burn on the front of the pants! So, instead of just having a rip in the front, the pants were now completely ruined. Its OK if he was unable to fix the rip, but to create an additional problem that was unfixable was more than i expected. The worst part of all of this was how he reacted afterwards and treated me. First of all, he did not contact me and tell me about the new damage he had caused. When I came to get the pants, they were simply in a plastic bag with a crumpled envelope full of wrinkled bills labeled "refund." No explanation. He wasnt there so I told his worker to call me immediately to discuss this situation. No phone call for 2 days. I finally called him to find out about the pants and how he was going to rectify the situation, and he pretended not to understand me and then hung up on me!! I went to the store and proceeded to get railroaded by him and an extremely rude "friend/customer" of his who was in the store and basically was talking badly about me in Spanish as i stood in front of them, claiming that I shouldve know this kind of glue burn is possible and that I was solely responsible. He did not offer any explanation or plan of recourse for the damage he caused to my 2000$ suit. He basically told me that he wasnt responsible for any damage he caused to the pants and that there was nothing he could do. Perhaps I am naive, but if I had known there was any chance that he was going to cause such harm to my wedding suitpants and not take any responsibility, I never wouldve used his services. His communication skills are poor and his business decorum and customer service is worse. Do not use him. read more
