I'm not sure why, but the lady who assisted me at the counter was asking for so much of my personal information (name, address, phone number...). I guess it makes sense if someone is dropping off several garments for repair or cleaning...but I just needed one button to be sewn onto a dress, a task that would take less than a minute for even the most beginner tailor... After about 20 minutes of giving all this unnecessary info, the computer shutting down, and sharing all this info again, I was told I would have to wait a week before I could get my dress back. What??? I emphasized again that my ask was as small as could be---should a button repair really take a week? All it took was for the counter-lady to take it to the back and have the tailor fix it up then-and-there. Cost me about $1.50. That's all I wanted and needed, and that's what I got...even if I had to waste 20 minutes in the beginning.

So far so good! I tried out Oak Park Cleaners for the first…read moretime the other day. Things went well. I dropped off a bunch of clothes, and they got 'em all cleaned up by the promised date. It was a bit on the expensive side. When I dropped off the clothes, I told them I'd never been there before, so they gave me a coupon book to welcome me. I left my coupon book at home when it came time to check out, so I ended up paying full price. The inside looks clean, and they've got a belt system to spin around all the clothes to get yours. The clothes don't seem to be getting laundered at this location. Be sure to check out the model airplane wing atop the conveyor. I like that they have a covered parking area!

Since we started bringing our clothes here I've never had a button crumble in my hands or fall off my shirt. If something hasn't been cleaned and pressed to our satisfaction we just take it back and they do it again. No charge and no questions. Today I went to pick up our dry cleaning and there was no charge because of a recent fire in the shopping center. They didn't have to do that, I wasn't inconvenienced. Remember, you pay for service as well as dry cleaning and that's what they give.

Very friendly people, but improper tailoring practices (per my new tailor)…read more When taking in slacks and skirts, they did not measure to make it even, which can be seen from the distance between back pockets and center seam. I took them to a different seamstress and she measured them to be off by a third an inch, and explained to me that it appeared the fabric was taken in from one side versus both sides. This causes the back of the slacks to look pinched at the center seam, like the fitness influencer butt scrunch shorts. They also forgot to add the back belt loops back on. My new tailor is trying to fix them, but she told me that ATG did not leave any fabric to let them back out and is recommending I throw out these pants altogether. I think these women are very nice and were friendly, and that's why I am giving 2-stars. But I paid around $800 to get several skirts, slacks, and jackets taken in. For the price, I wish they had been more detail oriented with measuring out exact lengths, and I wish they'd left some fabric for future alterations (which I have been told is typical practice).
