This is hands down the best pool in the area, just disappointed they close on Wednesdays. Otherwise this is a great pool for kids of all ages. Great Pool! I love that you can have dippin dots and there's food! We got kicked out due to severe weather. Family friendly, just that if you're kind of a strict parent here's some tips : 1st: Kids or Teens say bad words so DONT BE LIKE THEM! 2nd there were some teens talking behind us talking about people. 3rd 3 groups of 6 year olds were singing inappropriate rap songs I'm sure. This is a great place to bring kids to have fun. The best thing is that it's close to home and that there's a lot packed into a small area but the kids don't get bored because of the variety! If you can snag a nice lounger with an umbrella it's pretty comfortable. read more

We previously lived in Plano. Jack Carter pool was an amazing place. It was very well maintained at one time. So we drove 30 min from where we live now to take the kids. When we arrived they said the leisure pool was closed. So we paid 50$ to get in since we were already there. It wasn't posted on the website that part of the pool was closed. The lazy river was open and one of the slides, and the deep diving and pool. There were approximately 22 tubes for the people in the lazy river and for the one slide that was open. I asked if there were more tubes and was told that the public has broken them and maybe they will buy more for next summer. So out of the whole water park there was the cliff diving and surfing which some of the kids were not big enough to do. I went to speak with the person in charge and she talked in circles. Asked for my money back or a rain check and they said no. If you don't live close, I would call ahead to see what features are closed and if they have gotten more tubes if you want to ride the lazy river instead of walk around it. This visit to the Plano pool was a real disappointment from every angle. We won't be making the trip back. read more

We love this pool! It has two different heights to jump off of, a surf thing , Three huge curvy slides, a nice lazy river, a large children's area with a lot of fun things to do, a large swimming area and an area for basketball/volleyball. They have plenty of seating, including lawn chairs, and regular chairs. They also have many covered picnic tables. I love that you can bring your own food and beverages in. They also have a snack bar and a first aid bar. You can also order your food and have it delivered there. The admission is perfectly priced for both Plano and non-Plano residents. We always have a great time when we go here. The bathrooms/changing rooms and locker areas are always clean. Our whole family would definitely recommend Jack Carter as a fun places to spend with your family and friends! read more

I'm from out of town but have relatives live in the area so we decided to take the kids there. I don't think the customer service is up to par. They are extremely strict and do not allow us to slide under height limit she was literally 2 cm under and the stick was tilted. My daughter went to Pirates Bay in Texas where we live and was able to go on the slides. read more

I absolutely loved my first experience here! I took my 4 and 9 year old and we spent almost the whole time on the lazy river. They were also able to get their snack on with dippin dots and pbj sandwiches from the concession stand. They have a generous area just for the little ones, along with an abundance of slides and a rock wall to jump off of. Oh and they supply a good amount of life jackets for that extra safety measure. Last year, Jack Carter reopened just a little south of the original on Pleasant Valley Drive - with major improvements: A river for relaxing- with or without the plenty of tubes available Two slides - one with tubes, one a body slide - both fun with great twists Kids splash area / fun area Flow rider surfing Rock climbing Two high dive/ jump areas Different pools with depths from a few inches to 12 feet Lockers / Rinse off (outdoor) areas It is $9 adults, $5 kids, $0 babies,$5 lockers. See website to confirm prices as I do believe it was a few dollars less in 2016 vs 2017. Coolers and food are allowed (just pick up after yourself please.) Place is relatively clean. I saw Staff picking up after spilled food and empty plastic bottles. Lots of chairs and some umbrellas. Plenty of parking. Lifeguards are everywhere and you will here them reminding kids to "walk, not run". Last time, I even observed a lifeguard warning an elementary school child not to push other kids into the water or he would be asked to leave. As I saw the child push another child, I was happy for the quick observation of discipline to keep others safe. read more

Great place to go with your family but go early before they open because the tables fills up quick if there is alot of people. i enjoy coming here with my family. they have 3 different slides. one you can do with another person on float or by yourself. the fast slide and another slide that is slower but still very fun. the kiddie section is a good place to relax with the water showering you. my son enjoys it. they also have a spot thats a deep side and you can jump off this cliff spot or rock climb. super fun. also got a wave surf area. havent tried that cause i dont wanna embarrass myself. but come out and enjoy the sun with the kids or your family or friends read more

This is the last place I would reserve for a party. They don't do refund if the weather forecast said it's nor raining. They don't do refund if during the party hour it's not physically rain. They don't do refund even if it's thundering. Doesn't make sense to me at all. Also, The coordinators never reply. The phone always goes to automatic reply. No matter how fun this place looks like. Such a fun public pool! My kids are 10 and 6, and we have a pool at home, so they want more from a public pool than just a diving board. They love the platforms to jump/dive from, the slides, the lazy river and the rock wall. Cons: The price is a little steep. I think it cost $20 for two kids and an adult to get in. My mom took my kids and didn't swim. Also, it opens kind of late and is hard to find a spot to sit/lay your belongings. read more

Had more fun here than Hurricain Harbor. First, the lifeguards do a tremendous job and are everywhere. On our visit they pulled two kids from the water and are clearly well trained! Spent $38 for 4 kids and two adults. Fantastic deal. We brought a cooler with water and there were plenty of people bringing in their own food and drinks. Saw zero trash and as the other reviews have mentioned there is plenty to do! read more

I step up and say to the lifeguard that those koi is have gone already and our kids have been waiting in line... and she looks at me confused so I asked her to ask the man behind her if I'm telling the truth meanwhile these kids r up and running into the surf thing. Great neighborhood pool! There's a decent sized adult pool with a slide and diving board, lap lanes and water volleyball. There's a separate baby pool that is fenced off with a big water jungle gym that even my 9 year old loves. There aren't any chairs except the picnic benches under the awnings which get taken pretty quickly. So bring your own folding chairs or lay out on the grass on your towel and bring your own umbrella for added shade. There's a small concession stand but you can bring in a cooler of your own. So much fun! My family is from Florida where something like this would be 3 times the price, easily. I think the prices are awesome for what you get to do; 3 slides, lazy river, rock wall, surfing area etc.. I also really liked the wall jump off area. I'm calling it this because it wasn't bouncy like a diving board it's designed like jumping off a small cliff into a lake or ocean. I love this place! There are so many lifeguards. At least 2 even at small stations. The lifeguards go so far to make sure everyone is safe and they seem pretty serious about their jobs. I'm amazed that Jack Carter is a City pool. We visited Hurricane Harbor first before venturing over to Jack Carter and can honestly say Jack Carter came out ahead. The pools were clean and comfortable and there were a ton of options for the kids; lazy river, water slides, rock climbing wall, etc. The cost is low...paid less for 6 people than we did for one ticket for Hurricane Harbor. The pool allows you to bring a cooler with food and drinks. The lifeguards are attentive. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area that is looking for a way to cool down. read more

This is probably MY favorite Summer time hang-out sans any air conditioning. It's like a smaller scale Hawaiian Falls...which makes it easier to keep up with all the kids ;)They have water slides, a 12'6 pool with 2 platforms and a rock climbing wall. They have this surf simulator (my big butt sure isn't getting on it), another pool with volley ball net and basket ball area attached onto a sitting area and kiddie pool/play area. My area, of course, is the lazy river. It's a great place for family and all ages. My ONLY concern is the shade. Last summer, they allowed us to bring in our own umbrellas....not this year. They just don't have enough shade for all the families that attend and many end up on the grassy hill area sunburnt. We are rec members so there is no cost for us to get in. I believe it's $9.00 for adults and $5.00 for kids. Very much worth it! read more

What a deal for some family fun. Plenty of slides and activities for all ages. The lazy river is fun and perfect for anyone that is 3 ft 6 in my 7 year old can walk thru most of it. It's losing a couple of stars because you can only wear Red Cross certified swimming gear no arm band inflatables. They do provide life jackets but my daughters still swallowed lots of water and it kept trying to push their head forward into the water. It was more unsafe then keeping them safe. No where on the website it states that they can not wear inflatable arm bands or only Red Cross certified gear. My kids did not have fun because they were too scared to get in the water with the life jackets on. All in all it was great for the price. read more

Awesome place to spend the day! The day we were there, sudden thunder and lightening rolled around and we had to get out of the pool. The staff gave us a rain check for us to come back another day, which we appreciated!! One thing prevented me from giving 5 stars is that we wish there was more shade! will be back for sure! read more
