It was a simple thing, to a service advisor. But to me it was a great thing. I nocked my side fender on the garage and so it was flapping when driving. I tried to order parts from mopar directly but inevitably ordered the wrong clips. My son said just go in and show them the part and they will order it! We went in and Jon Devoe was at the desk and I showed him the part and he went back in parts and came out with a similar part and he took his pocket knife and shimmed it down to fit x 2 and Walle it was fixed! I appreciate that this young man took the time to help 2 older folks (us) And fixed the problem completely! Like I said it was a small thing but it meant so much to us! What a blessing of a worker! After providing my son's information, I was asked to co-sign and provide my details, which I did. We were told we were approved for a loan and that my co-signing secured a better interest rate for my son. However, we couldn't take the car that day because they requested copies of our social security cards, which I found unusual as I have never been asked for this in my years of purchasing vehicles. Our salesperson, Jim Dee, made the three-hour visit extremely uncomfortable. He spoke inappropriately about his son with autism, calling him an "asshole," and recounted a story involving racial slurs and violence in a loud conversation within earshot of other customers. Despite expressing my discomfort, he continued to use offensive language. It's important to note that he used the N word twice On Monday, we returned to Saco, which is almost an hour away from where I live, only to be told they might not be able to finance my son due to his new job status. We provided additional wage information and were told we'd receive a call back within three hours after they discussed it with higher-ups at the bank. Five hours later, I called Jim but received no update. He promised to call back, but I received no call that day or the next. I also left a voicemail for the GM Jason, which has not been returned. This dealership's unprofessionalism is astounding. For a better experience with respectful and efficient service, I recommend Charlie's in Augusta, where I recently purchased a brand new car with no issues. read more

My 2020 Ram 1500 Diesel motor went at about 37K. Brought it to IRA Chrysler Dodge Ram and it took 3 months to have it replaced. When I finally got my truck back it had a dent in the rear bumper which I noticed the next day. The service department manager had me got get an estimate to repair it from the IRA body shop, so I did. I brought the $3700 quote back to them and they said they would call me. So I waited a few weeks and finally called them back and was put on hold while they talked to the General Manager. They came back on the phone to tell me they were not going to do anything for me because "a customer could have hit it". It was there for 3 months not by choice, but because they could not find a motor. Not my fault, but my truck was in their care. I called and left a message with the general manager and he never even called me back! I highly recommend you go elsewhere when buying or servicing your vehicle with IRA. read more

Really a very mixed bag buying my new Jeep here in Feb 2017. Pro: - Price. Honored the TrueCar price without a hassle at all. - Sales: Louis was very knowledgeable and straightforward to deal with. Knew a lot about the Jeep and was interested in making sure we got the exact one that was right for me. Con: - Insulting lowball offer on my trade. Luckily I had taken it to CarMax and had a buy quote in hand and knew what the car was worth. Once I showed that to them their offer suddenly came up $3,000. This is called trying to steal the trade. - They marked up the interest rate I was given by 2%. I didn't care since I paid off the loan anyway before the first payment was due but watch out for this. They will prepare the paperwork without telling you the rate. Literally the rate on the bank's website was 2% lower than what they gave me and have tier 1 credit. Oh, and it took over an hour after I agreed to the deal before I even got in to sign paperwork. - The vehicle prep process literally did not happen. When I got home I found there was NO cap on the brake fluid and that the engine cover had acorns on it! There was no way anyone even opened the hood before delivery. I had also asked for a small hood scratch to be buffed. They said it was done and a new inflection sticker put on. Neither was done. My fault for not inspecting better but it was night and raining. Water is the brake system was dangerous. They did NO prep! - I too the Jeep back on Monday and made them flush the brake fluid and replace the cap at no cost. I had the scratch professionally removed myself. No apology given or concern shown. - Although the dealership was told about the delivery fiasco they have never contacted me to at least apologize. In fact, there has literally been no contact from them at all after I was handed the keys. It's been a month. Summary: Good pricing through TrueCar. They will lowball your trade severely and markup your interest rate. Expect no prep of the car or after sales follow-up or support at all! No way I go here for service in the future. My sales guy is still with the dealership and I ran into him today when I was in for first oil change/service. Was nice to catch up with him. Had great experience with the service department. Easy to schedule the service on-line, got the day/time I was looking for. I got there early, and they were able to take me right in. Finished the service super fast, and ended up being $0 cost (which I had actually forgotten about - since I bought the Jeep there - even the state inspection was free). I came in on Saturday at 5:30 to buy a Sahara because my lease is up on my current Sahara. I wanted to see the Rubicon and compare prices etc. I find out that the dealership is closing at 6pm and the sales agent is too busy to sell me a car because he has a company party that he has to go to at 6...So the dealership is closed Sunday per law and Monday because it's Labor Day... I will definitely check out other dealerships since this one apparently doesn't need new customers and must be making tons of money so doesn't need my bussiness. The crazy thing is the agent didn't even ask me for my phone number or to schedule another appointment on Tuesday... I guess those beers are more important then making a sale. read more

Turn around. Trust me. We've been bringing my husband's car to this Dodge dealer for maintenance since it was Lee Dodge. Now that Southern Maine Motors has taken over, every single visit has been a hassle with the LEAST FRIENDLY customer service we've ever experienced anywhere, and that includes fast food joints on holidays. I'm not even sure where to begin, but here are some specifics and anecdotes in no particular order: * Twice now, we've had major work needed on the car LESS THAN ONE MONTH after an annual inspection. It makes me question how thorough their work is when it happens once, but when it happens twice... it really makes me believe they are skipping corners. (For comparison, I bring my car to a different dealer who gives me a detailed and color-coded report on the status of my car including notes on all work that may need to be done at my next regular visit.) * On one of the occasions where we brought the car in for service, an employee who was moving our car BACKED IT INTO another customer's parked car. This luckily(?) happened right in front of me as I was pulling into the place to pick up my husband. Who knows if we would have known it had happened if I did not witness it and go inside to tell them what happened. (I'm not sure if the other customer ever learned that their car was hit or if their car was just silently repaired.) They fixed the damage to our car and gave us a loaner car to use for the inconvenience, but instead of just saying, "We're sorry, we'll take care of everything," we had to hear the extremely unprofessional statements about how, "that guy is so old, this shouldn't have happened, he shouldn't be on the road, he doesn't have his hearing aids in" etc. I was embarrassed and ashamed for the elderly gentleman who caused the accident and who was being berated by his coworker in front of us.. this was then followed by annoyance and anger when I learned that we were not the first customers to have had this happen to them, but the THIRD. This all is just the tip of the iceberg here, people. I have more stories, if you really want to hear them. We are always told, "so and so was fired, please come back". Summary: The Service Department left me with a broken right front coil spring and a bad brake line. I was VERY lucky that this was found by another mechanic as I could not feel it driving. If the spring had punctured my tire on the highway, or the brake line failed it could have been a disaster. Details below: I brought my 2008 Jeep Wrangler in for recall work, a U-Joint, and to inspect a check engine light / AC issue. the repair work to fix both the check engine light AND the AC issue ended up being a single corroded ground wire. Replacing the wire totaled almost $400 in labor and I was told the wiring was "difficult" adding to the cost. 2 weeks later I happened to be at my mechanic for winter undercoating and he showed me I had a broken right front coil spring (next to the U-Joint that was replaced) that could puncture my tire at any time. He also showed me that my brake line was seriously rusted/expanded and could burst. He said I should NOT be driving the vehicle. I rechecked my invoice from Southern Maine Chrysler Dodge Jeep and the broken coil spring WAS documented in their "Multi-point inspection," BUT no one ever told me of this problem and let me drive the car home. There were multiple people in the customer service chain and no one mentioned any safety issues from the mechanic, the person calling me saying the "vehicle was ready" to the person that checked me out. I'm very concerned with both the quality of the work done on my Jeep, the information related at the time of pick up, as well as the cost that I paid for the "grounding wire" work. There should be procedures in place to prevent clear safety issues from leaving the service department. After informing the Owner and Service Manager I got a call from the Service Manager who defended the situation saying the broken spring was written on the invoice and was not sure why I wasn't told. He did apologize and offer to put in a new after-market spring (that I would order.) I declined this as all 4 springs should be replaced (as any good mechanic would have recommended) read more

Honestly the best car buying experience we have ever had. Came in knowing the jeep we wanted on a Saturday - and just planned to test drive and start the process. Bought a truck but they said the listed price was with all rebates yet in the last paragraph it said sales price only included typical rebates and listed the two. Then after refusing to give me what I wanted for trade in value they said they worked very hard to get me what they gave me......then low and behold, my traded in truck was on their website the very next day listed as certified and for 8600 more than they gave me for trade. Would like to know how they did all the checks on the vehicle to make it certified in 2 hours of business open time.....I will never deal with any Prime dealer again. After getting an oil change my wife was informed we would need tires and brakes in order to get an inspection sticker for our vehicle. She was told it would cost near $2500. I called the service manager who reviewed the file and provided me a written quote of $1750. Via email I asked several times if he was certain about this price because it was much different from the $2500 verbal quote given to my wife. He said he was. We scheduled the service. When the vehicle was being serviced we were called and told the amount was in excess of $2500 (in their defense they found another issue). However, when I mentioned I was quoted $1750 by the service manager, they lowered the bill to $2100. This is over $300 higher than quoted. All this to say I was very disappointed the quote provided was not the amount billed. Paying $2K for anything is painful. I wish they charged what they said they would. That said, they are nice people and they do provide good service. I would rank them 4 or 5 stars. This experience though gets 2 stars. Very disappointed in their inability to bill what they quote. They were quite understanding and explained the process quite well. It went down hill fast. The lady who assisted in financing my car made multiple mistakes resulting in me having to pay double on my monthly insurance. Second, I was worried about having multiple hard inquiries on my credit score and they assured me it would only be one. Over ten appeared on my credit report within a week. I called them to let them know and they insisted these would disappear and I'd have one. This was almost 6 months ago and I still have the hard inquiries affecting my credit.
