I am a Senior female with ADA License plates. I went to the Sports Complex last night to watch my great grandson play soccer. There was no parking in the entire parking lots with a lot of cars waiting for spaces to open up. My grandson was playing on Field 5 which is the field furthest from Fairfield Ave. There were barriers toward the back for Referee parking only. I had to park in the Church parking and walk to Field 5. When I was walking, I saw 2-3 ADA Handicap empty parking spaces. I had to have help to get back to my car. I understand there should be parking for Referees but it isn't appropriate to not allow persons with ADA license plates to use the spaces available. read more

Well Date of Visit August 7, 2022 and I Finally made it out to The LA Chargers Training Camp !! Boy oh Boy It was Packed and We had to Park in the Costa Mesa High School parking lot and it Costs 10 Dollars to Park but not to far of a walk from Costa Mesa High to Jack Hammett Sports Complex !! This is the New Practice Field for the one and only LA Chargers which compared to there old home for practice in Mission Valley !! I noticed here it was jammed packed and the stands to sit in kind of like High School was filled to the rim !!! People standing up and very crowded everywhere !! There are lots of greenery and as I walked in lots of festivities going on and booths set up for kids and adults to try and kick field goals !! Or even run the 20 or 40 yard dash !! The setup was cool and it was an cool experience to see !! Knowing I am a huge Chargers Fan I enjoy coming to see the Chargers Practice !! It's an complex kind of like the old Mission Valley location in San Diego but I feel it was pretty cool to experience and if your looking to see the Chargers practice prepare and bring lots of Water !! They let you bring water bottles or even Backpacks and Snacks in so if your wondering !! It's ok !! We got here around 4:45pm and there were no lines to get in !!! Which they already opened up practice at 4:00pm which is nice !! Overall Great Experience and I enjoyed it a lot !! So if you happen to be in Costa Mesa CA and decided on watching a Chargers Practice I suggest you check it out !! Very Cool !! I for sure can see myself coming back and enjoying and watching the LA Chargers practice here again !!! read more

The soccer fields are well maintained! We visit every Saturday for soccer games. Restrooms are also available.

First time at this facility for chargers training camp, what we did for parking was park at the OC fairgrounds and walked about half a mile down. You can also find parking at the high school and/or the lots closer to the place. Be aware the closer you get the more money you'll have to pay for parking. I would've just paid $20 to park right next to it and be there right away. Anyway, the fan experience was fun you can bring your kids and they'll enjoy it a lot since there's a lot to do, the practice fields are pretty cool too they have a large bleacher where you can sit down if you don't wanna stand, only good thing about standing is you get all the players who come down after their scrimmage game and they sign autographs for everyone. I got a few good photos for you to enjoy. Overall I had a blast! First time for football training and would prob return if it isn't too hot next time being in California during the summer Only thing that would've made it a 5 Star, if there was plenty of shade where the fans stood by the practice field read more

This is where my daughter had her home soccer games with Costa Mesa AYSO. Her coach was the best and took her team The Strikers to the top. They ended up winning the league championship. This is also where they had all their team practices. Their coach was always on top of the girls, guiding them on each drill. The field was always well maintained. The snack bar always stocked with snacks. After practice on Wednesdays we would go grub at Sonic. Lots of fun memories here. read more

Cool spot for the Chargers training camp. They have 2 fields, stands too watch on, and over all, was a good time. They also have things for the kids there, inflatables, and games. A little store. It was alright in terms of seeing them play, but was bummed that it was hard to meet or get any signatures from the players. Parking is $20 bucks, unless you park a little ways away too.. read more

It is always fun to attend the Los Angeles Chargers training camp at the Hammett Farm complex. There aren't ever enough restrooms but one thing I did notice this year was that there was an actual first aid station. I also noticed that there was a AAA table with a few fun reps there to chat with as we kinda strolled on by. The shop is always fun to browse through. We also took a fun few photos. My daughter liked the photo booth with the props. She thought that was a lot of fun. I liked that they had various agents and what not in the tent and they were able to tell you about the new complex, the design, the concept and the different possibilities for season tickets. I always like knowing more of the back story to things. Meeting the players is always fun. We get to go onto the field and meet lots of the players. We were in a certain area this year where we had our own designated beverage and refreshment stands. It was nice to be there with a group of folks who are all involved in a similar cause. I love how you are able to interact with the cheerleaders/Chargers girls. I love the fact that my lil one is able to run around the park and participate in some of the activities. It has been a lot of fun for us these past few years. I'll continue to enjoy visiting so as long as they'll continue to have us. Yay! Go Bolts. #boltup read more

There is usually plenty of free parking but it gets really crowded and you may have to walk a while; one day we had to park at the church for a $5 suggested donation. There is also a decent amount of trees and shade around - which you don't find at a lot of these fields. There were plenty of bathrooms that were fairly clean. I heard the tacos were good but I didn't try them. It's pretty close to the SART bike trail so some of us rode down to the beach for breakfast then rode back up. 2 miles across Adams with a pretty big bike lane most of the way and you're at the trail about 3 miles from the beach! This is more of an opinion on the San Diego Training Camp experience rather than the facilities of Jack Hammett Sports Complex. The facility itself was fine, however two comments that made the experience average at best. If the Los Angeles Chargers are trying to build a fan base so why are the players so physically remote from the fans in the bleachers? The entire contact portion of the practice was held on the second field farthest from the fans. It was impossible to even make out their numbers without binoculars let alone understand the action taking place. Also the price of admission was free but the parking was $20. read more

So this is the home of the Chargers practice field. It's kinda odd to find this between a high school and the OC fairgrounds. You can park for $10 at gate 3 at the fairgrounds, or $20 next to the complex for $20, which, if you don't mind paying, is right next to where the line to enter forms. Considering watching practices (during preseason) is free, spending some extra cash is no biggie to me. I guess I'm old school cause I don't think you should complain about a free event. That being said, this is a fun thing for the whole family. They have activities for kids and adults alike, like the 40 dash, football throwing challenges, catching challenges, plus some food and chargers gear for sale. The bleachers wee outfitted with tents to create lots of shade. I'm all about experiences, and this one is a cool experience for football fans. It would be awesome if bathrooms were closer to the fields and if, during joint practices, if you get there early enough you can watch practice on the sidelines of the second practice field. Like, have 30 spots available first come first served, or a raffle where ppl donate $5 towards a non profit and they can win the opportunity to watch from somewhere closer.
