I ordered mine from the app and it was ready in less than the time given on the app. It was hot and a bit messy. The tables had crumbs on them. The bathroom didn't have much air circulation. Boba milk tea is sweet but good. The boba (tapioca balls that fit thru fat straw) are brown sugar flavor and really taste that way. I've had boba for decades including in Asia, and I have to say pretty good for a fast food place off I-5 near Bakersfield. The burgers are the usual, better than some other chains but a bit pricier too. I had a Jumbo Jack, and it has a lot of lettuce and tomato. I think they're over-cooked, but better safe than sorry. Other folks had some problems with their orders, but not me. Ambiance is lacking. read more

Stopped here on our travels down I5 to Southern California for a bite to eat for lunch. My husband and I ordered a SourDough Jack combo small, comes with a small drink and small fries. Food took a bit to come out. When we received our food I was unhappy to find the fries were not hot, overdone, and no salt so they were gross tasting and bland. The sourdough is usually toasted on both sides to give alittle crunch when you eat it. The bottom bread was not toasted making it feel like I was eating a burger on regular white bread, I ate half and threw it out. There beverage dispenser is on that you can do different flavors this was a plus I like the variety. The restaurant itself was clean no dirty tables and they were sweeping the floor when we came in. The women's bathroom was being cleaned also as we were leaving. Overall if they could pay more attention to the quality of the food they serve this location is a nice spot. Not a busy stop off the freeway and there are a 2 motels and gas stations at this stop. Gas is expensive though at both shell and chevron like $1.50 more a gal than just down the road of heading towards LA at Tracy Ave off ramp it's alittle cheaper. read more

We're traveling back to Vegas from the bay after a memorial service and made it in time before they closed. We ordered food and went to the gas station across the street. While pumping gas we checked the food and the drink was wrong but no big deal so we bought one from the gas station. Upon noticing that instead of the large curly fries I ordered, I received a medium regular fry. There was also no ranch after being asked twice if I needed any sauce. I call and no answer and call back at 12:14AM and go back to the store and speak to the person who said they rang up and bagged my order, Jordan. She proceeded to tell me they were closed and to come back tomorrow for a refund. I advised that I'm traveling back to Vegas and will not be back and if there's anyway we can fix it tonight. I explained the soda fine, I'll take the loss but I paid extra for curly fries and didn't get them. She then told me that I didn't order curly fries and she was the one who put the regular fries in the bag. I advised that I did order curly fries and again I was told I did not. She then asked if it said it on my receipt. I confirmed that it did and if she would like to see the receipt and food, I was outside. The response was call tomorrow then. I asked if there was a night manager I could speak to and she refused saying to call tomorrow as she could not do a single thing. Our stop for dinner on the way to SF. The lady behind the intercom spoke clearly. Our food were hot, neatly assembled. Decided to try their garlic fries. We can smell the pungent garlic aroma in the van. We were anxious to stuff our face with fresh hot garlic fries. The kids liked it. Terrible customer service and graffiti in the men's bathroom. Not like I expect that much from a fast food joint, but when my little one wants apple slices with her kids meal, but we are given fries instead, you'd think the manager would just give the small bag of apple slices to my kid when we bring this up at the counter at pickup instead of arguing that we didn't specify the side. They just assumed it would be fries. The apple slices probably cost them a few cents, which has now cost them a customer. The big wigs of J in the B should know that the store-level managers are making poor decisions regarding customer satisfaction and consumer relations. This experience tells me the staff doesn't care about their customers, even when issues are brought up to them. Add to that, my 9 year old son uses the men's bathroom and sees graffiti and carvings in the wall. Seems like the staff should try harder to keep the bathrooms clean or at least enough to not scare children. read more

There's nothing like greasy good fast food while you're roadtrippin'. Driving from Los Angeles back to the Bay Area on Interstate 5 can be rough if you're sleep deprived and driving solo. After passing the Grapevine, I knew I had to stop for grub. Decided on JIB, off the Stockdale Highway exit. Was stoked to find that at 12:30pm (prime lunch hour) that no one was in the drive-thru line. The parking lot was nearly full, so I assumed that most were dining in. I knew exactly what to order, my fav #4 - sourdough jack with curly fries. I was even happier to discover that they carry Diet Dr. Pepper, my all-time fav soda! Man, this was gonna be the lunch of champions! The drive-thru teller, Lola, was super nice and efficient. In less than 2 minutes, I received my drink and then burger and fries. I pulled into a parking space to make a few quick calls, and later inhaled my lunch. The jack was cheesy, not uberly greasy, and fries were curly and crisp to perfection. Downing it with a Diet Dr. P was an excellent accompaniment to the best fast food experience I've ever had off I-5 (and trust me, there have been many!) Thanks to JIB (and awesome music from my ipod), I had enough energy to last me through the home stretch drive back to SF! read more

NOPE. there was only one girl working the lobby. she took several orders & let the orders pile until someone told her one of her orders was done. then she stopped to walk it out to the customer. if there's a long line you should take an order, pack of then hand it out. & if you have a ton of people waiting in line, there's no need to walk orders out to people. call the order out & have them get it just like any other place would! it seemed like the drive thru line was helped 100x faster. the bathrooms also need to be attended to...they are absolutely gross. they are so under staffed and disorganized but when I did finally receive my food, it was hot & fresh. so, that's where they can get the one star. read more

Left early this morning (4AM) and arrived bright and blurry at this Jack in the Box in desperate need of coffee. That long stretch of I-5 can kill you if you're not adequately prepared and sure enough, I left without my coffee or anything to eat. This location was a savior right off the Stockdale Hwy and an immediate first stop after you pass the Grapevine and enter I-5. I got a small coffee that wasn't very spectacular but hey, for a $1.50 and all the cream and sugar I could need it did the trick and helped me survive the journey to San Jose. read more

They are ripping people off here. I got a small number 8 with a curly fries and a raspberry tea. The posted price for the meal was $5.99. They charged me $6.29($.30 isn't alot but imagine them doing that to every customer who doesn't pay attention!). When I told them their system was wrong and they need to fix it to match what was advertised the employees insisted that I was wrong and that I add curry fries so it's an extra $.40 or that it was taxes. I processed to show them on the receipt where it showed those charges separate. They still insisted I was wrong and the it's a justified up charge and "it's only a few cents". No it's Fu@"&$ principle don't fucked steal from people and admit to your faults, then fix it! I will be contacting the main headquarters and the BBB to report this. Stopped on our road trip back up from LA. Restaurant was empty, but we were greeted with big warm welcomes and ordered a teriyaki bowl and a jumbo Jack for the two of us to share. The friendly guy at the counter asked if we would like our Jack cut in half, which we much appreciated as we were taking the food to go. We also ordered coffee, and he told us to get the small for $1 and we could have as many refills as possible, and the coffee was actually good! The Teri bowl was super steamy hot. Already tried to complain to the franchise, but they don't answer their phone and I have not heard back after submitting a form online.
