On a long drive back home and decided to stop for some food and a restroom break. We both ordered the Buttery Jack - Swiss and Cheese, but I would say it was more of a sloppy mess. Yeah I get it's fast food and isn't going to be five star, but the burger was just drenched in sauce and you needed about 20 napkins, even after wiping up half the sauce off of the bun. Ew Gross! 100% gross! The bathrooms were pretty much flooded and there was no TP in any stall. We, like most people, were traveling through and wanting to stop for something quick. We waited for 30 minutes for our food! The soda machine was completely out of soda. They have one of those fancy Coke machines and every single option except water was greyed out. This is always the first stop on the way to NorCal via the 5. The food is usually good, for Jack's standards anyway. Yes the restroom is usually a pig sty. There's nothing quite like the smell of urine to sharpen the ole appetite. That restroom actually cured me of wearing my slippers while driving long distance. One of them stuck to the floor a few trips ago. I was not a happy camper when my clean sock hit that dirty, filty, sticky ass floor. Anyway, so during the last visit, I'm waiting at the counter for 5 or 6 minutes. I can hear someone bumping around in the back so I figure it must be some kind of "official business". All of a sudden a young male employee comes out of the back area, buttoning up his pants, wiping the sweat up his forehead causing his hair to stand straight up in the front. Then he hurried to help a customer at the drive up window. He looked spent. Five seconds later a young female employee comes out from the same area, hurrying back to the counter while she's trying to tuck in her shirt, all the while sporting "The Cat That Ate The Canary" smile on her sweaty, beet red face. Hey, I know what it's like being young. Knockin' one off at work at 6 o'clock in the morning, Kudos to the both of them. Really I don't mind waiting a little bit extra while the employees are in the back doin' the Dingo Dance. Seriously, the only thing that really bothered me was the fact neither of them stopped to wash there hands when they finished. Highly unsanitary. None the less, even after witnessing all that, I'll still eat here the next time I go up north rather than go to the IHOP across the street. If I could give zero stars to this location I would. We stopped here on our way back home from LA. There is an IHOP near by which I wanted to go to but we opted for Jack in a Box since it would be quicker and we could get back on the road faster. BOY WERE WE WRONG. Our order was simple. It consisted for 3 meals and a milkshake and took them about 20+ minutes to get it to us. They were not very busy, and just seemed to work at the slowest rate possible. I ordered no egg on my breakfast sandwich and ended up with egg and no bacon....really?! We should have gone to IHOP since the wait time would have only been slightly more and it would have been healthier. Oh and steer clear of the restrooms. THEE worst experience I have ever had in a fast food chain in general. I literally walked out now with the intent of Yelping on how horrible this experience was, after waiting for almost 30 min for my order, specifically due to the coffee that ran out mid pour and the time spent with 4-5 other people that were ignored in the in store line. It seemed only one young lady was doing majority of the work to the best of her ability but was not able to get away from the drive thru window, after over 10 min the manager comes out and just looks at us as if she'd been the one waiting for us! I gave my order, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE base at all, not rude not pleasant just there, no "thank you", no communication and when I thanked her she didn't acknowledge. After that I was just done, wanted to get my coffee and wait for my number when the coffee dispenser runs out half way thru my cup, when I caught the managers eye I swiftly advised her that the coffee was out, she took the canister as well as the one behind it and went to the coffee machine and shook the canister next to that that was also out then just restarted the machine and put one of the old canisters there, not once did she say what she was doing or that it would take a couple of minutes or anything, after about 5-6 more people coming in and being ignored for another 5 min the young gal that was helping finally glanced at me and said coffee would be another min, I appreciated that.... UNTIL the coffee is done, I finish my pour and there are no lids out! Again the waiting game. At this point I have no idea where the manager went but the young gal was now trying to do both in store and drove thru, ridiculous. I got her attention for the last time to tell her about the lids and she just placed a stack on the counter in a method that seemed as if she too had just given up. I walked out of this restaurant astonished at how poor the quality of service was, upset as a customer and honestly just discouraged for Jack in the Box in general, a customer was definitely lost today. We love Jack and eat at Jack in the Box very often. We stopped at this particular Jack around 7pm on a Saturday. The restaurant was extremely dirty, trash was full, bathrooms stunk like urine. It wasn't busy, we were the only customers, but the employees were watching Youtube instead of cleaning the dining area. The only flavor of soda working in the machine was regular Coke, so I had to ask for diet from the drive-thru's fountain. The food was okay, it's hard to mess that up at a fast food restaurant, but it would have been nice if the place was cleaned once in a while. It was the dirtiest Jack in the Box I've ever been in. Should have waited until the Coalinga Jack instead. I still love Jack, just avoid this one. read more

Bad, Bad experience from the start. 10/20/2022 8AM. Jordan taking the order wasn't pleasant at all, sounded like if she was mad, it was like she was being force to take orders. Placed an order at 8am including a coffee , coffee was not hot, it was cold, my daughter asked if the coffee could be replaced, they offer to warm it up in the microwave, as I waited for the coffee , there were 3 employees and among themselves they were saying how can the coffee be cold we just put it out , I told one of them to taste it herself, that we were not lying about it being cold. One of them said I'm not doing that, No customer service etiquette at all. At that point asked them to CXL the order and to give my money back. I didn't check until we got to the hotel and noticed instead of reimbursing the money the woman added another charge so now I had two charges of food we didn't consumed. Contacted the store to have the charges reimburse the girl that answered said I had to physically be at the store to reimbursed, I told her we were not from there, just passing by, so I asked to be contacted by management, so that they could do it manually without coming to the store. I was contacted by a manager saying she couldn't do the reimbursement manually even thought we were told she could, at that point I just contacted the my bank. Terrible! We are on a long drive from southern California to Washington state. JIB is usually good for fast food breakfast, but this one was aweful. We waited at the drive thru window for about 7 minutes which wouldn't have been issue except the grilled sandwiches weren't grilled! Barely warm! The orange juice was expired on the carton and was sour. If you going north on the 5, travel to the next exit and get McD's. read more

This exit is just bad. First the Shell station had no paper towels to wipe my windows and was dirty, then the IHOP was closed because of no water. Previously the same IHOP was closed a year ago at this stop. I won't be exiting here again by choice. So after getting gas at the Shell station, we went over to this Jack in the Box and while the staff was pleasant, the restaurant was just plain dirty. The tables and chairs were not wiped, had debri on most of them and the restrooms were kept up. If my kids weren't so hungry we would have left. The Coke machine that is suppose to have multiple flavors just had origninal Coke, no Diet, no Vanilla Coke, no a bunch of other stuff....Thankfully the food tasted like Jack in the Box fare, mind you it isn't gourmet but at least it nourished them. Dirty Dirty Dirty. The lobby looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a week. The coffee supplies table was a pile of trash, coffee creamer cups piled 6 inches high, trash on the floor. Asked for a breakfast combo but no coffee was made, either kind. Took 20 minutes. Waited 30 minutes for a breakfast combo while discussing with other frustrated patrons how disgusting this place is. A large group came in after us and were told it would be at least 30 minutes. They turned around and left. Literally one person working the orders and one helpless guy working the counter. And both looked like they didn't give a crap. Drive-thru had a worker and it went much faster. And the bathrooms were filthy and smelly. My advice to all drivers of I-5 going north: STAY AWAY from this place. And everyone else in the area: STAY AWAY. My recommendation is that the state health department pay this place a visit. And whoever owns this location, evaluate every employee and fire the guy at the front and the girl who worked the fryer. The date was July 1, breakfast shift.
