This was an awesome Jack in the Box experience for me. I'm from out of town and came here to get some food before heading home and they delivered. The guy working the microphone/drive-thru was great. Speaks clearly so you can understand him and is super friendly and nice. I just ordered some chicken nuggets combo with curly fries and a drink and it all tasted delicious. The only downside was that it is somewhat dirty outside the restaurant like in the parking lot but I don't mind that very much. read more

I have never been this person before, but i had just off work around 1am (i'm a server) and wanted to pick up some food because i was too tired to cook. The girl at the window was the rudest girl i've ever interacted with. At work i deal with people being rude and short and i understand that being in the industry can make a person frustrated but the way she treated me was so shocking. Jack in the Box is like a dive bar that nobody told was a dive bar. It's all here, except booze of course (byob only) : sticky floors, surly service, a 70 yr old sunburnt guy sleeping in a booth, drunk teenagers singing songs through the drive in speaker, a lonely whirr of an exhaust fan, pans clanging, soda machines shooting pssst, terrifying beeping noises that go on too long, everything. Those beeping noises though. They stress me the f out. Get those fries! They're done!!!!! It's weird though right? I mean you can't talk to ppl in Jack in the Box like you can in a dive bar, they would think you were a weirdo. It's why maybe I smoke too. We smokers are the only human beings who can go up to one another and be together and talk about random shit and then leave. Try doing that to anyone hanging around outside without smoking.  And I mean cigarettes. Yes weed people love each other but then they just sit near each other occasionally laughing. Smokers talk!!  They also have very terrible blood pressure. Speaking of which, this Jack in the Box, like so many, all of them actually, is one of the worst places you can go and put things into your stomach at. Insane amounts of calories and salt = why Americans are all dying of heart issues. I mean, every fast food place is a culprit actually. The dad who sends his six year old daughter to order for him because he doesn't speak English and the Somali clerk interacts and understands and allows the translations to go back and forth. Real human love interactions. The white clerk with the tattoos on her neck and three kids at home and a runaway husband, she still smiles sometimes and wipes things down and maybe even sings a little under her breath. The man in line who moves to the side when someone else comes to order, he tells them "no, please go ahead I'm not ready yet." Love. The family of way too young parents full of sweatpants and old school 80's cell phones and Gameboys and Dollar Store clothes and pink sweatshirts with generic fantasy ponies who somehow manage to keep it together in life and get through it all somehow sitting at the table yes not super happy but not exactly dead too and full of love and wistfulness and dreams and happiness and hopes for tomorrow and lottery tickets and JOB tacos and burgers as food and when they get home they laugh and they are together. That kind of love. The kind quite frankly that I've not seen much of in my recent days around Carlsbad's McMansions. Still. You can cry about the proletariat if you like. But if you do maybe you are not really one of them. You might be looking down at them while crying "for" them. You might be hurting them more than anyone. read more

I've been going here off and on for years. Very convenient dining room, with mix of tables. But for quite a while I would only of through drive thru because going in was not efficient. In fact at times I could order off the touch screen and pay before the person in front of me, who had to wait for the clerk to come around, could place their order. But! I went in today because the line for the drive thru was kind of crazy. There was not only someone at the counter but they were very friendly and placed two orders in the time it took me to place mine on the touch screen. And like a previous reviewer noted, they brought my food (which was to go) out to me. First my smoothie as soon as it was ready, and then my food all bagged up. And they were friendly! Although there is a prevalence of heat lamps in the area they appear to be able to maintain body temperature without the assistance of external heat sources. All in all, this is a Jack in the Box. Stopped by here for a quick bite to eat on the run. We were traveling from out of town so I've been to plenty of Jack in Box restaurants. This spot had the worst tacos I've ever had. Luckily my wife and I ordered other food from their menu which came out good. All 4 tacos we ordered were extremely cold. Not sure when they were made, but they could have reheated them or something. One of the tacos I ate had like 80% lettuce and 20% meat. I ate through over half of the taco and ate through nothing but taco shell and lettuce. I would give them one star for the tacos but the drive through employee was friendly and the service was prompt, so that bumped them up a star. read more

I pulled up into the drive-thru to find young adults (21-24 y/o, at least 8 of them) blocking the entrance, they were talking selfies in the drive-thru. They proceeded to the window were I'm guessing their budy was working. They STOOD in the drive thru talking to the employee who clearly was friends with them. I was told to wait to order as he finished carrying out his conversation with his friends. When I finally ordered my large fries I was told they were all out. I don't think he was being truthful... This location is friendly, and the employees are thorough in making sure they have your order right. The food is fresh and we'll prepared. I may have gotten a little too much butter on my buttery jack last time I was there which made it a little dangerous to eat in the car, but it all worked out well and luckily I'm skinny and it tasted great! I've never visited the inside, so I can only rate the drive thru. I haven't gone at any busy times, so I have always gotten through quickly and been a happy camper! I would definitely recommend this location. It's a busy area and the stop lights are a pain, but it's worth it rather than going to a less busy area and getting gross food and/or bad service. read more

Food tasted rather fresh and it even took them a while to prepare it which makes me wonder if it was fresh. Bun was excellent and burger was well prepared, not slapped together in 5 seconds. Jack's is like any other location, food wise. I go here because it's nearby and it's very convenient. As for customer service it is an energetic staff that tends to your needs and will correct their mistakes with no complaints. Jonathon is a great employee. He is one of the most professional people that works there, probably even better than the management. I see him going far, and will offer him a job in the future if he is ever looking. ok, i know this is jack in the box, but come on people its about serving the customer. I guess I usually hold jack in the box to a higher standard because it was my first job in high school and I am usually not disappointed, however, this place was ridiculous. First we were standing at the counter for a good 6 or 8 min before the lady on drive through (who was an assistant manager and was crazy busy in drive through) yells for someone in the back. Two guys finally come up, one was in training.. they took our order and we got our number and sat down. We waited almost 20 minuites when the drive through manager yelled for them again asking why this food was still sitting up there.. tweedledee and tweedledum were in the dining room gathering the trash to take it out. the guy who was the trainer was like "what? there arent any orders" The manager screams "YES THE CLOCK SAYS 18 MINUITES!" he then sees us and is all "oh are you guys still waiting" im like um yeah.. so then, THEN the part that REALLY TICKED ME OFF was that the two kept bagging the trash.. like im sure the new dude can handle taking a trash bag out of a trash can get up and get my food!! THEN I FREAKED OUT CAUSE HE DIDNT WASH HIS HANDS AFTER HANDLING THE GARBAGE AND GRABBING MY FOOD! I threw the food straight into the trash and then proceeded to lecture this kid on the spread of bacteria (im sure he was annoyed, but i work in health care i know how vital hand washing really is when you come into contact with a large amount of people) I ALMOST would have eaten it, had i not watched him scoop up the fries and spread those germs on the fry scoop which will then be passed to everyone who comes in for the rest of the night. Do not go to this location because the service is terrible. I came here a little after 4 and the parking lot had 2 cars in it and no cars in the drive thru and only 1 group of people in the dining room, but the guy who finally showed up at the counter who appeared to be wearing a supervisor's shirt, was rude and didn't take the time to get my order right. He spoke really fast and unclearly and I couldn't understand what he said because he talked so fast and in a thick accent so I asked What? and he made a face and rudely pointed at the amount due on the screen while he's listening to the drive thru headset. It turns out he didn't get my order right and charged me for a more expensive item and just throws the bag on the counter and walks off and I had to wait several minutes for someone to show back up and then at first she's like "No, you're order's right" and then I had I had to wait for the order to be remade and they never apologized or refunded the difference between the more expensive item I was charged and the cheaper item I ordered. I was so embarrassed by the way the guy treated me because I couldn't hear what he said and he just rudely points instead of repeating my order to be sure it was correct so I ended up being embarrassed, overcharged, and had to wait 5 more minutes.
